Joh, that is crazy! I had to look up the exchange rate, but... we didn't pay anywhere near that (even for what we had- which was as close to 'the works' as they get)! The place we went to the set menu started at 28 pounds... the one we got was quite a bit more than that, but 98 francs is a bit over 73 pounds. Yikes. (Apologies for not using currency symbols- my computer's configured to the Australian setup, and the only one I can do is $)
I put up a "going out, trying to impress- should I make any changes?" shot onto Facebook and I had about ten people tell me how good I looked. And I've put the pictures up onto Facebook and even to my own eyes think I looked pretty bloody good. We were seriously overdressed (my boyfriend wore a suit with a waistcoat and bowtie)... but I don't care, it was fun. As for that woman in the street? In one way I'm chuffed, but in another way I don't think it counts because she was obviously in some way chemically impaired.
Jasper, I can highly recommend it (if it's not too expensive- and if you have nights off dieting). I'm getting a lot better at this no guilt thing. Next few days may be a bit of a mess dietwise though (in terms of me using stuff up in the fridge, the plane journey which is not going to be diet friendly, and I'm sure when I get home my parents will want to feed me up)- I'm going to try to be as good as I can once I'm settled in in Sydney, though.
I'd forgotten how filling porridge made with milk was. It's an extra 100 calories, but... no hypoglycaemia this morning. Could also be that it's a much cooler day here than it has been.
