Amy's weight loss diary

Thank you.

Can't type much- incredibly sore even with codeine (which is still making me sick). Screen caps- calorie counting Sat and Sun. And flowers. Very me. Sure they were horrendously expensive though.

Sat- water 2076.9ml (inc in some foods). Sun- water 3472.3ml (inc in foods).

Big day in terms of dealing with present problems today. Wish me luck.

Use your other hand to type ;) Miss your posts, hope the nausea goes away--Flat ginger beer or ginger infused teas will help.

Thanks :)

Have been trying to compensate with other hand- have actually started to develop RSI in that hand too. Ergonomic equipment should arrive tomorrow.

Thing re dealing with problems went as well as could be expected- far better than I feared. Massively relieved. Need to limit my typing time and get on with stuff to do with that. But I think things are looking up- I've at least broken through a rut.

Oh, and diet not so great today- had roast potatoes for lunch because I was feeling horribly ill and emotional. I think I can make it up with a smaller dinner.

Another screenshot as really shouldn't be typing. Also can copy paste servings, messy but given I have RSI gives you ful info with minimal keystrokes. Format bad. First number grams (or ml- mostly same thing) of food. Second calorie value. Meals should be fairly self-explanatory.

Bedtime.

A little better, thanks. Still shouldn't be on the computer. The pain is less intense but is spreading to different parts of my hands, wrist, and ends of my arms. Not sure whether that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Thanks guys. Now have a whole new ergonomic setup for my computer- laptop stand, external ergonomic keyboard, external ergonomic-ish mouse (although no appropriate platform to put the keyboard or mouse on at this stage- I'm using a suitcase for the keyboard and my leg for the mouse at the moment, will probably make a trip to Ikea tomorrow to see if I can find anything appropriate height for them. My hands are feeling significantly better typing like this, although it's yet to be ideal- not returning fully yet.

In general, the pain of the RSI is a lot less severe but appears to be spreading- I'm getting it in different parts of my hands and up my arms rather than just in the wrist area. I've stopped taking painkillers for now though, as the pain is lessening. Keeping an eye on it.

Stuff I've been having issues with is starting to settle down. I feel good about it for the first time in a long time.

And I've just taken the plunge. Explicitly asked my boyfriend if he wanted to go out for dinner. He's over the moon.

Revenge/ rampage of the chocoholic. I have nearly two blocks of Green and Black in my fridge. I've just had a normal sized piece. Part of my brain is insisting I go and eat the rest. Why?!!!

Doooooooooon't do iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!

Please, don't. You are my inspiration, I am so envious of how you can control your portions of naughty things so well (and make choccie cookies without eating a single one).

Codeine is horrible, I can't take it. Are you on nurofen as well, they are my favourite drug :) I really hope that it gets better soon. xxx

:D It's easing off a little. I've resorted to eating other things (strawberries- good choice- peanut butter on rice cakes- not so good choice but it helped a lot) to try to ease it off. I might go defrost some blueberries and nibble on them, there's bugger all calories in those.

Last couple of days, though they've been good, have been incredibly draining. I think that wears down my willpower. Plus I ran out of natural yoghurt last night so I can't do the usual dessert (I am not going to Tesco in this frame of mind, that's a recipe for utter diet failure). Plus I'm on the rag, which does take its toll a little.

Blueberries. Glass of milk. Calorie free (I think- can't find nutritional information on it anywhere) night time tea. Then an early (for me) night.

I'm on cocodamol- so paracetamol and codeine. Nurofen/ ibuprofen is the best thing for this but it's incredibly dangerous (as in, high chance of hospitalisation) with one of my medications so it's verboten. I haven't taken any today as the pain is lessening dramatically (although spreading, which is weird and worrying).

I used to be able to take codeine with no symptoms. It's only since I moved to the UK that I started getting nauseous/ dozy while taking it. I can't imagine why that would be- it must be the same stuff, surely.

GO YOU!!!! That reminds me, I have some strawberries lurking in my fridge.....

Its weird that your pain is spreading but lessening, like its diluting itself through your body. Its a shame you can't take nurofen :(

Just been talking to my dad. Who has no concept of this "diet" thing. He means well and is trying to look after me, but his ways of looking after me are not diet friendly. Shortly after I get back from Australia (actually, it's going to be a struggle keeping the diet up there too, I guess, given I'll have little/ no control over cooking/ groceries and I expect every man and his dog- or at least my immediate family, extended family, my immediate family's friends, and my friends- are going to want to lavish me with attention which will probably include food!) he's coming to visit me in England (he needs to be elsewhere in Europe but is coming to me first). He wants to take everyone who's important to me out for a meal. There are several groups so this may mean several meals. He's also going to go "dad shopping"- in part this means "buying stuff I can't afford/ won't buy", but I suspect it also means "buy food that dad finds acceptable"... which is not on my diet. Ho hum. Will have to make it up next time.

I think the RSI is fading. Have been off exercise because of it. My gym membership's expired so I need to think whether to take up the new place and suspend or whether to spend the next two and a bit weeks getting stuff ready, perhaps going to the pool casually, and working it out when I get back.

My hands are getting better, but they're not ready to type up the whole food diary, so I'm going to copy-paste as yesterday, breaking it up into meals. (first number on listing is weight, second is calories)
