Amy's Journal

I joined the forum several years ago but never followed through with weight loss. I finally started eating healthier, controlling portions and exercising in October 2011. I've lost 30.6 lbs as 1/3/12. I recently won a weight loss challenge at work and I'm starting another tomorrow. One of my goals during the challenge is to journal all my food and I thought this would be a great way to do that plus get additional support.

I would like to lose 100 more pounds. I try not to focus on the total and have smaller 10 pound goals. Right now I'm excited about making it to the 240s, I hope to be there by next week. So exciting, it's almost time for new clothes!

I'll weigh-in tomorrow and begin recording my food and exercise. Looking forward to posting here! :)

Hi Amy, I'm a newish poster too, I also joined a few years ago but never got around to losing much. I'm also aiming for the 240's next week, so I'll be watching you...not in a creepy way...welcome back to the forums!

Hi, Oldschool! Nice to meet you. I've been hovering right above 250 for weeks now, really looking forward to breaking into the 240s. I'll have to check out your journal as well. :)

Great job on the past week's meals and results. I wouldn't watch or worry about daily weigh ins moving up or down slightly as we all have normal variations in our weight throughout the day. I had this same issue at the beginning of the month and it got so bad that I banished my scale from the bathroom.

Next up, let's see some light exercise show up in the E: column :hurray:

Keep it up and the impressive results will continue.

I'm not concerned about daily ups and downs, I just like to see that I'm moving in the right direction overall. I enjoy weighing each morning. :)

I've been doing an hour on the elliptical 5-6 days a week, but I had work obligations last week that prevented me from exercising. I'm heading back to the gym today! :)

Work mini-challenge #1: Journal all food intake

Work mini-challenge #2: Exercise 5 days per week for 30 minutes

I love ellipticals! Wish I could buy one for home, but shipping to my little island paradise is a bit of a challenge.

I used to weigh daily and log it on a 5 day floating average chart, I got the template for it from the accouting office. It was fun to see the numbers shift around while seeing an overall downward trend.

I agree, ellipticals are awesome! My gym closed this month and I'm waiting for them to assess the value of the regular ellipticals and the climber ellipticals, crossing my fingers I get a deal! Oldschool, you hit the nail on the head, I'm an accountant. I love charting my weight! I'm such a nerd.
