I found this in some journals and thought would be cool to do!:
What is your current height and weight?
1.58 meters and 70 kg.
If you were at an ideal weight now, what would that weight be?
54 kg. sigh.
At what weight would you like to be at four months from now?
hopefully my goal, or at least almost at 60.
Why do you want to lose weight?
I honestly don't like my appeareance. I have cellulite,
varicose veins and all those stuff you shouldn't have at 24
also to generally lead a healthy lifestyle because my family
has a history of diabetes.
What obstacles could get between you and your weight loss goals?
vacation time! when I break my ''routine'' and go out with friends a lot
it is hard to count my calories.
Why do you think that you now have a weight problem?
I've always had a weight problem. I am 16 kg overweight.
What lifestyle changes do you think would help you lose weight?
exercising! staying away from refined sugars, white bread and junk food in general.
I don't eat a lot I just need to eat more veggies and fruits and drink plenty
of water instead of soft drinks.
Have you lost weight in the past? If so, what has worked in the past to help you lose weight?
yes. moving out from home and cutting down my portions. in general just ''being a college student''
also I joined a curves gym that even though I only did around 30 min three times a week
helped me lose the first 10 pounds.
Why do you believe that you did not lose weight or you gained the weight back?
I haven't gained that weight back, thankfully. but I am in a plateau.
What, if anything, has not worked for you in the past in helping you to lose weight?
all the ''quick fix diets''
every time I started a new diet, I'd fall off the wagon fairly easily.
after so many attempts I just stopped trying. I believe being somewhat ''forced''
to diet was awful because I sabotaged myself. you have to take that decision
yourself and do it for the right reasons.
Would you try writing down all food and drink consumed for a given period of time?
Yes I am currently doing so. a food log is very helpful
Do you cook at home often? If so, what do you cook?
yes. It is cheaper and I can control what I eat because I know what's in it!
restaurants can say something is ''low fat'' and lie.
I mostly do salads with chicken breast, tuna with apple, low fat chinese,
veggie and fruit coctails, whole grain pasta, soups, fajitas,
omelets, sandwiches and light Jell-o!
How often do you go out to eat? Where do you go?
once or twice a week at most. mostly coffee places
like starbucks and mall's food courts. I always
try to find a healthy alternative in them but yeah..
I do go to Ihop or Carl's jr. from time to time.
What are your three favorite foods?
sushi! chocolate (most sweets actually)
and pasta especially with cheese in it.
What are your three favorite restaurants?
1.) wok, any japanese restaurants
2.) Italian places
3.)coffee places like starbucks and local coffee shops
and tapioca houses!
What are three things you can do differently when it comes to food?
don't think of food as a ''reward'' or comfort when I feel sad.
look at it as essencial fuel to my body and give myself
a treat once in a while to never binge again.
If you woke up tomorrow and your body was exactly the way you want it, what would be different?
I'd cry, first. tears of joy as I've never been on my weight, ever.but I day dream a lot.
I'd shop! a lot of new clothes for my new size and even dress a little different,
more skirts and other cute things I'd love to wear.
Do you eat when you are not hungry?
yes. but working on it
Do you binge eat (large amounts at a time)?
used to, not anymore!
Do you hide your food or eat in secret?
no, but I did in a moment --blushes--
Do you eat when you are sad, nervous, or depressed?
used to yes.
Do you eat as a reward?
yes, too.
Do you eat while watching TV or using the computer?
yep.
What do you normally eat for a meal?
on the weeks: tuna, chicken, pasta, salads, sandwiches, cereal.
on the weekend: sushi, a hamburguer, pasta.
What type of snacks do you eat?
fruits and veggies, whole grain cookies.
used to be regular cookies, popcorn and
peanut butter and jelly sandwiches
In terms of exercise, what, if anything, are you currently doing?
mostly just my stationary bike, 30-40 minutes and 20 minutes on the fitness ball. some yoga and dancing too but not plenty yet
Where do you go for exercise? A local public gym? School/work gym? Home?
currently just at home but I want to wo jogging a couple of days
so I won't feel trapped and add variety.
What, if anything, are your three favorite types of exercise?
belly dancing, pilates-yoga on the ball and walking.
What is your daily/weekly/monthly/yearly motivation to move towards your goals?
daily: stick to my healthy lifestyle and not cheat on my exercise plan.
monthly: had lost at least 2 kilos and have a better condition and habit
for exercise
yearly: have lost my 16 kilos. and sustain a healthy lifestyle
and regular exercise.
Do you have rewards for certain goals?
the next 5 kilos I am giving myself new piece of clothing. or pamper myself
at a SPA. maybe frozen yogurt too.
at 10 kg lost I am buying more clothes and jump up and down LOL
