Have you worked out how many calories you need and how many calories you are eating each day ?

yes I am in probably 5 different places :p to get different opinions.
the average considering age, sex, height, weight say that what I should eat to maintain my weight is
1936-1980 Calories/day

and
1549 Calories/day - 1400 cals to lose weight.

they all show the extreme weight loss calorie intake, in 1200. ouch that is probably what I am eating :p so I added calories up to 1400 this week.

Today starts my ''fruit, veggie, protein and light dairy'' week.
if I like it and handle it well it will become 2, or 3 weeks.

I had a fruit cocktail of strawberry-banana (love that combo)
with a bit of cottage cheese for breakfast.

it is almost 2:00 PM and I was going straight to lunch but thought I couldn't leave the fruit behind- so lunch will be at 4:00 PM.

I already prepared my meal for the day: chicken-soy with pepper, onion, almonds and dried cranberries and spinach to go along. it is delicious!
well at least to me


currently watching jurassic park for like the 567895th time haha while I check my e-mail. I have to run some errands: send a package, buy cashew nuts, pay my light and water bill. even check that gym I want to join, see how much it costs.

Did my laundry yesterday, uneventful week.. basically watched movies, played video games and slept. gah

I yet have to do my exercise for the day. I feel like going for a walk and I haven't done any pilates lately, I miss it.

still no answer on the grades thing, I better call the art director tomorrow and see how it goes, classes start on Wednesday and I have to check if I am getting back or not. I am fine either way

my day ended well. I went a little nuts on the cashew nuts- hah- silly joke
but they taste sooo good. also my diet was lacking healthy fats and heck I am trying anything right now.

other than that I had a great day, ended it with fat free, sugar free yogurt and a medium pear. first day in while that I don't have any form of bread of pasta I am quite proud and I think I can handle it well!
maybe after a couple of weeks of just certain carbs in dairy and fruits I can start noticing a difference.

anyway only did 30 min on the bike, didn't feel like more
my head hurts because these couple of days have been soooo darn hot, like unbearably hot. I had probably 3 -4 lts. of water yesterday alone.


I still want to join that bally fitness place but I bet it is too expensive. if it is too much for my budget I might just get back to my old curves gym. I did lose the first 13 pounds there so maybe if I stick to it the weight will still coming off, I don't know I am running out of ideas :p

I still feel great and I am going to the bathroom on a daily basis. that is amazing it never ever happened to me before and it beats the hell out of constipation for sure! - err sorry not exactly dinner conversation but it makes me happy, not feeling all bloated and stuff. to everyone out there who has suffered from constipation, worst thing ever.

so maybe the weight is taking a little more than I expected.. a lot more actually. but my health is definitely improving. that is more important thank looks anyway but heck who doesn't want to look nice?

other than that.. still uneventful.
waiting for my camera equipment and trying to get in touch with my art director to know what will happen with the end of this semester.

being a member of bally totall fitness myself i can say that it is very expensive unless you catch specials that go on. my friends joining for 30 bucks a month, with no contract or join fee. which is less than a dollar a day. it works out because he is there 5-6 days a week as well. but without the deals, it can be like 50-60 dollars a month. i bought out a contract right out so i got a great deal. it averaged to be about 20 bucks a month if i added it all up. but not every one can afford to pay in full so. just wanted to give you the info i have on the gym. speaking of, i need to get going there now!
 
i'm not a member of bally, although if there was one close enough i'm sure i would be, but on the one commercial it said something about $19 down then $19/month, which isn't bad if you can get it for that special. i think the gym i currently go to is like $25/month, but it seems as though bally offers tons of different classes...who knows. hope that it works out for you!!
 
they do have a ton of classes, and i have never been to one because i am there so early. one day i will try out yoga though. i swear.
 
You should definitely shop around for good deals on a gym.

My husband and I have a gym membership at 24 hour fitness for just 14.99 (each) per month.

actually 50-60 dollars a month is what I paid at the curves!
with no classes or variety in equipment that's why I got tired. for that kind of money having all those classes and options, I am sold. I still want to see if I catch some form of discount, I live in an expensive town :(

We shopped around and leared that because of where my husband works, we got our membership at half price!

well today's been boring and pretty uneventful as well.

got up at 8 am.. and.. slept again. I wasn't tired anymore but I think I am mildly addicted to dreaming, I have vivid dreams each time I go to bed and they just kept going and going each time I wake up and go to sleep again.
I like them :blush5:

so I finally got up around 11, had the usual fruit for breakfast and I am about to do my exercise routine, 40 min on the bike.

I think they are coming to buy one futon I have and don't use at all, 150 bucks I could use to join that new gym, or pay half the price of the pug I really want! but I don't know if I am ready to have a puppy. it would be lovely to have a little partner to play and go walking but I already have a cat, a very needy one. still thinking about it

it is still really hot in here.. gah.
and still no response from my director, that's a good way to show he doesn't check his e-mail in a week, come on. check it already! or I'll have to call tomorrow and find out if I am going back to finish the semester or going home.. either way I am still fine. although staying means a lot of serious hard work and stress. who knows

my equipment hasn't arrived and it is killing me, hopefully I'll get it before the weekend because I have a photo shoot. I need to start moving and seeking small jobs as a photographer if I want to be able to have small ''treats'' like my usual bubble tea, going to the movies or even joining the gym I want.
but where to start?

well gotta go exercise!

Dogs are great walking incentive. :D

The cat probably wouldn't be bothered too much honestly, as I just went through the same situation with mine. Yeah, she disdains the yorkie pup I got eight months ago, and she cold-shouldered me for a few days when I brought him home, but she got over it. And that cat is like Velcro.

I have always wanted to try bubble tea.

I am in my girly days grrrr!
I want to eat everything :( broke the low carb week for a regular low calorie week as I survive headaches, mood swings, extra work at school, an upcoming art exhibition.. I know, I shouldn't give excuses but I just felt like having some carbs today

still managed to keep it low calorie,
I had a whole grain muffin in the morning, 150 cals
with black coffee

a 100 cal. popcorn package

soy meat, beans and lentil soup (iron deprived much?)

and.. like half a package of jell-0 and a pear to tame down my sweet cravings.

so guess I didn't do so bad after all.. I just didn't exercise because the pain was killing me.
I just want this to be over. school to finish and.. some beautiful long vacation at the beach! haha.
 


Hi guys!

so.. the uneventful week ends. and in what way!
I went back to school and discover that have a zillion things to do.

starting with the final exams that start next week,
followed by my first solo exhibition.. the photos for the contest I want to join, a lot, lot of stuff. but yay! I rather be active that spending my days in such laziness.. which I enjoyed to be honest.

talking about laziness what is wrong with my body?
just as wacky as me!

I didn't throw the towel this past week and a half but I certainly didn't do much. stopped counting calories as severely and focused on keeping my healthy eating. traded the no carb week for the complex carb one, had more snacks than ever.. didn't exercise much.

and NOW I start noticing changes. what? really?

I felt my waist today and noticed something strange. Please, please tell me that fat re-shapes. It sounds logical but it is weird that while I used to have two love handles (oh pair of soft, cuddly love handles) now I have a weird combination of two and a half. to give you a better idea, sort of like an inverted six pack, with new chubby- slim spots. I also noticed that I don't have to suck my tummy too much for my ribs to show and my waist feels smaller.
Also I feel the muscles in my arms without flexing.

hah!! It is funny that I just have to take the ''laid back'' approach and kind of forget I am dieting and exercising and my body gets the memo. but that's how it happened the first time, so as long as this work I am keeping it up. how can I complain? I don't work too hard, I have fun, I still eat things I love.. so yeah.

Also I noticed I am now more inclined to the whole grain stuff in general. before I was a true cookie monster and now that I realize there's no nutritional value whatsoever I stick to the low sugar, whole grain-fiber muffin.
staying away from the chocolate and coolie section is more than I ever dreamed of, and it seems that now I even do it in zombie mode. I went to the seven eleven at 4 am and went straight to the regular coffee and the muffin. yay!

I haven't slept all night. yup. it is 10:00 AM and I haven't slept a single minute.. haha. so if this diary entry seems random.. you know why it is.

I have to present my photo work to the directives so they can pick what is going to be exhibited so I can't sleep until 2-3 pm. then I have to clean up my entire house :p roar.


talked to my mom about joining a gym. still have to check how much it will cost they told me there are some may specials I might get. I'll prob. call tomorrow

Hope the family are all well?

I don't know what bally is, but I joined the gym at work and with a fitness plan drawn up and an induction I go 2 - 4 time weekly for under an hour and it makes me feel good and hopefully lose the weight I have gained.

As for food, I stick to mixing my carbs and proteins or have carbs only for breakfast with skimmed (low fat) milk with brown sugar (not more than two tea spoons). In my mind the earlier in the day I have it the more likely I am to burn it!
