I'm having a bit of trouble staying within my 28 pts the lst 3 days. I think two birthday parties and a baby shower combined with a weakness for chocolate cake and fondue may have been the culprit...
 
You can do it!

Weight Watchers sounds like a great plan. I've never tried it, but it seems to be pretty flexible about what you can eat!
 
ive always wanted to try ww but never have....perhaps i will consider. Fondue is my favorite.....i adore it...havent had it in years though:(

So you fondue eh? :D I think we all know I also have a weakness for chocolate cake--well, chocolate anything for that matter. :drool5: I can hardly fault you. But I know you'll climb right back on the wagon. No worries. :smash:
 
It was actually chocolate cake with Kahlua icing. HEAVEN in a slice.

The fondue was chocolate also, with fruit to dip.

I also had some masaman curry.

VERY high calorie 2 days.
 
Oh man are you making my mouth water or what!! :drool5:

H and I had Indian for our anniversary--that was loaded with calories, too. oh well...:D

I'm doing okay, it's been a SUPER busy week. 3 teachers meetings, a field trip, and my husband's car breaking down. Blah. But tomorrow's friday and next week is SPRING BREAK!!! WOO-HOO!

But I am SO glad you are back!! I feared you were gone forever!

I'm doing WW with a friend for a change of pace...but truthully, I'm not all that jazzed with it so far.
 
hey girl, i'm sorry to hear that your not liking the WW plan...what dont you like about if you dont mind me asking?
 
I think the meetings are a little cheesy and keep repeating the same thing over and over. The diet, while most people LOVE that you can eat anything you have the points for, I find myself not eating as well as I used to. I think I do better on more structure. (Like at the dietician, where it was liined out. Lunch: 4 oz lean protein, 1 low fat dairy, 1 veggie, ect.) I find it lets me feel there are "rules" and I am fairly good at compliance...when I want to be!

I may do better on CORE due to this. But I have to wait to try that in April, as I did not shop for core this month and I will have to stock up core foods and remove tempting non-core foods from my grasp.

That sucks about your H's car. :( My H's car also broke down this week and will cost about the same as yours to fix. H and I have been sharing my car for a week now. :ack2: What was the problem? It's an intake valve with ours.

I don't think I would like the cheesy WW meetings, either..lol.

Got any plans for Spring Break?
 
It was the fuel filter, fuel line and throttle positioning sensor.

We got the car fixed, and tonight, the hot water heater breaks. Fabulous. I called emergency maintenence and they say it is not an emergency. Only no heat if temp is under 45, no air if temp is over 85, toilet not working, flooding, fire, explosions, windows broken out or door lock broken qualify as weekend emergencies. So...no hot water til Monday. Looks like I'll be showering at the gym.

Spring Break...lots more sleeping in than normal, taking my best friend's fabulous kids to the zoo or nature center if we get some sunshiny days, and thats about it!
 
Ugh, that sucks about the car and the water heater. I hope they get it fixed on Monday.

Extra sleep is good--I'm a huge fan of it. :sleeping:
 
I am so glad I got to post a loss this week. After last week's gain I was a bit miffed at the WW people.

I am going to do core starting the first saturday in April. I may be better at that. Lots of protein, fruit and veggies. I can handle that kind of diet!
 
hey amber. good to hear you had a loss. Yeah the core might be better for you since its a list of foods, I think i'm going to try that next week???

How's the no dairy thing going? I haven't heard you mention it in awhile.

Did the WW people get on your case about the gain of the prior week?
