AmbaLove is Tracking the Journey!

Your H is the best. If only all H's were as wonderful as he is. :)

I'm curious to hear which you prefer--the WW or the current dietician.

At my weigh in today, I was down 2.4 from last week. YAY! Not to my previous low yet, though.

(I found a loophole in the work system. If you have a laptop with wireless access, you can still get to forums. HA!)

Your hubby is wonderful. Doing both for a month is the perfect solution. That way you can make an informed decision.

It is good that you have found a way onto the forum during the day. I know that I would be going up the wall if I was having to go a long time between checking out the forum - I'm addicted!

I'm pleased that you have got your challenge team all sorted out.

Take care
Love
Margaret

Well, it's not quite soted out, we are waiting for a reply from Jerome. If we do not hear from him, hopefully someone else will be available.

Congrats on being down 2.4lbs! :hurray:

Hurray for wireless laptops..lol I have one, too. I adore it. Glad you got around the school's firewall or whatever it was.

I think Jerome needs to start a journal. :)

I'm glad you are in, Jerome. Do you have a diary? I can't find one for you.

Sorry I don't. Actually, this is my very first time in this section of the forum
I'm only wandering between Before,in-Between, After and Bikinibound's excellent challenges :)

I'll try to come here more often and maybe start my own diary!

Can't wait to start the challenge, we're going to rock!

Went to my first Weight Watchers meeting tonight, and paid for my month. Got a lot of little books, brochures and pamphlets to look over. I need to decide before tomorrow morning if I want to do core or flex plan. I am leaning toward flex, as I do not like eating from a list. But, on core, I would not have to think or track anything.

The meeting itself seemed cheesy. It did not really say anything I did not already know. The plans seemed balanced, though. The leader is nice, and has lost 110 pounds, she now maintains with the core plan.

Overall...I like the one-on-one relationship I have with my dietician better than the in-front-of-everone meetings (at least so far). I like the freedom of foods at weight watchers vs. the more rigidly structured program of the dietician. I like having my best friend there to do this with (at WW).

If I do flex, I get 28 points a day. (I feel sorry for my friend, as she just weaned her little boy and it decreased her points by 10! Yikes.) So far, I know my breakfast is going to be 8 points on flex...and I would need a different breakfast for core, as my cereal of the moment is not a core food (Special K cinnamon and pecans, which is freaking amazing, suprisingly, as I hate special K).

I think I will start with flex, as I have quite a bit of stuff in the house I cannot eat on core, that I do not want to have go bad. If I stick with WW and want to do core next month, I can plan to grocery shop for core foods.

Oh, and I know that I curently weigh about a pint less than I did this morning. I gave blood this afternoon.)

I'm sad to be starting this challenge 5 lbs up from my elimination weight in the last challenge. Yikes. I would like to lose 10 lbs during this challenge.

hey amber....congrats on that loss, last week!
I'm doing WW also, i started today, i'm not going to the meetings
though, since i have all the things from last time, i done it.
I'm on flex now as well, i did core last time and lost 3lbs..so both are good
but core you stop when your statisfied (sometimes hard)..lol''
i also get 28 points... well i hope you have a great week!!!

hey..that was 3lbs in one week on core!!! i was really happy with that:)
thats funny i too have only ate 13 points so far..lol...with breakfast, lunch, snack..lol...i had smart ones english muffin for breakfast and smat ones pasta for lunch, and then a snack bar..

Yeah, 3 lbs in a week is really good! (A good week for me is 1.8 lbs.)

I've had:
3/4 c. cinnamon pecan special k 2pts
1 c. skim milk 2 pts
1 apple 1pt
1 orange 1 pt
Lean Cuisine Stroganoff 6 pts

lol...no, last time i done WW i lost 40lbs in 3 1/2 months and kepted it off for 2 years, until i got preganat.....

Your food looks great!

The WW meeting sounds interesting. I have never been to one. Keep us posted with how you like it.

I'm sure you can lose 10lbs during the challenge. :)

:biggrinjester:Hey, Lady! Glad you are giving WW a try! I simply LOOOVE IT! I, too, find that the weekly accountability is very, very helpful. Plus it helped me to take portion sizes seriously. I just think it is The Bomb that I can still basically eat WHATEVER I want - I just work it into my points! How cool is that.

I predict that you will see your weight loss really rev up over this next month while you are trying the programme out.

Best wishes on your journey, however you determine to travel it.
Cheers
