AmbaLove is Tracking the Journey!

Superbowl Party tonight. To save myself the hassle of fatty food temptation, I offered to bring the fruit tray!

I'll spend the evening snacking on grapes, berries, bananas, oranges, pineapple and kiwi. Sugary, yes, but it has to be better than velveeta dip, smokies, wings and cookies.

ky for me...no steelers....no super bowl parties!!!lol So i didnt have to gorge myself with munchies!!!lol
The curry sounds so good. but i think i have to wait toll i reach onederland to try it.....it might kill my goal!!!lol

hope your enjoying your yummy fruit!!

Tomorrow is my anniversary! Five years with the best man on earth.

I bought really cute lingerie, thigh highs and a garter.

Then started my period today.

Bitter. So, so bitter.

Oh, that sucks so bad! Poor Amber! And poor H! :cuss:

My parents' anniversary is the day after yours. 39yrs. I'm gonna hafta do something special for them next year. :D I'm thinking cruise.

Well, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY anyway!!!

Hope you had a Happy Anniversary

I have to sympathise with the bad timing though.

The lingerie can all be used to full advantage on another day though.

I hope you had a great anniversary!

So sorry you couldn't immediately use the lingerie, but it will help keep this next year spicy! :D

Despite the unplanned bleeding, I have had a fabulous weekend. My husband took the entire weekend off and we got to be together from Friday after school until tomorrow when school starts. We have not spent a weekend together since last March, as he normally works Friday 3pm-Sat 8 am and Sat 3pm-Sun 8am. It was a total surprise to me that he requested the weekend off.

He also gave me a white gold sapphire and diamond star necklace. It is a white gold star with one sapphire in the center and a row of five diamonds on the bottom leg of the star.

The sapphire matches my wedding ring. The star has significance for us, as he once wrote me a poem titled "My Star." It was sweet and happy. (I gave him a new MP3 player, how romantic...he had broken the screen on his.)

Tomorrow, a lot of friends (9) are coming to dinner. I am making cabbage rolls, which I have not had since I went to Hungary. I love them. I am also making an alternate dish for those who will inevitably balk at cabbage rolls, without even tasting them, despite them being wonderful.

Glad you had a great anniversary weekend together!

Your H is such a doll!

Ok, those cabbage rolls sound yummy, too. I cannot believe anyone would balk at them without even trying. I wish you lived closer--I'd be over for dinner all the time. :D

Happy anniversary Amber :). Glad you had a nice time and the gift sounds lovely. You are a very lucky lady to be so in love, let me tell you..

How was the dinner?

This is my pretty shiny sapphire star necklace, and some pictures of my classroom after a child destroyed it having a fit. Just remember that the next time you are angry that teachers get the summer off!

These are my outside decorations at Christmas time. I remember being asked for a picture, but with all the bitterness at being copied, I am not sure I ever posted one.

This is the icy world we are living in today. My husband and I needed to scrape our cars, as we are getting more ice tonight and we decided it would be better to scrape the first round off and not have to deal with all the ice tomorrow. However, our ice scrapers were iced inside the car. How to solve the dilemma? We took very different routes. He used a K-Bar knife I gave him for Christmas. I used a grilling spatula, which worked remarkably well due to all the tiny teeth on the side!

I had to laugh at that, because I would be the person that balks at them without tasting them! :D

How romantic your hubby is! And I love all of the pictures!

Your ice looks very similar to the icestorm we got last week.

So what did the student's parents say when they were told about the classroom destruction? I guess since they are special needs they chalk it up to that.

Teachers deserve the summers off, imo. They need time to recover from the students...hehehe

Well, this child has a lot of emotional and anger issues. He is a sexually abused child in foster care, so this is a regular occurance, as is violence and restraining him.

Oh, that is so sad. Poor kid! My heart goes out to him. Has his abuser been locked up--and the key thrown away?

Nope. Abuser was dad, mom did not press charges. All 3 kids were removed from the home, the boys are together in foster care, the girl is in a different home. The state decided it did not have evidence to prosecute, I still don't know how the ball was dropped on that one.

the mom is just as guilty for not pressing charges, she should be jailed.

it is really a shame what this country is coming to. I feel bad for children in that situation.
