AmbaLove is Tracking the Journey!

Well, I have done well food-wise today. No exercise, as I was in a car coming home from two days away for new year's and then I was grocery shopping (had not done that in a month, oops!). I have caught myself twice getting ready to bite my nails, and stopped both times. Both times I was driving, so I think it was a boredom thing.
Tomorrow is back to school. Vacation ends. Wah!

HIYA

Hope your ok noticed you havent been on for a few days ok so 4 days isnt that long LOL

Hope your keeping up with not biting your nails its really hard habbit to get out of I only did it by using a special clear nail varnish it had a really really bad taste to it which made me not want to put them any where near my mouth no even when eating finger foods! but it works

Hope your not too busy with the term starting again
Take Care

I hope that things are going well for you and you are managing to keep from biting your finger nails. My hubby is worse at that than me!!! I just glanced over at hubby as I finished the last sentence and he was nibbling his fingernails!!!

I have only bitten off one nail since New Year's Eve, so I am doing pretty well. It is UNCOMFORTABLE to let them grow. Only nail biters can understand that.

I have not been on much, as I have been SWAMPED with real life lately! School starting back up, my husband potentially getting a new job, getting my class pets up and running, getting the flu, selling some unneeded things, shattering a 50 gallon glass aquarium on my floor, and trying to clean my house (all since Wednesday!).

I am on track with diet, exercise needs a boost (only 1 hr 5 minutes since the challenge began), and I finally have no fever today after two days of near 101 F.

I'll be around again soon! I have been checking every day, just not much time to write.

Love you all!

I'm glad you're finally feeling better. Being sick when you have so much to do makes it even worse.

Good luck with the challenge!

:waving: Hi Amber! Sounds like your new year has got off to a bit of a rocky start...hope things are better now! OMGosh, I cannot imagine the mess you had to clean up when that fish tank broke :svengo: Was it full of water and fish at the time? Even just picking up all that glass would be a monumental task!

I liked the pic of you in your brown dress, and was pleased to hear that you are helping to teach a Sunday school class! A labor of love, no doubt. I wonder what grade/age your class is? My girls are ages 9 and 11.

All for now, keep your eyes on the prize, sweetie!
Cheers,
ABBA:Angel_anim:

The fish tank was, thankfully, empty. But, yes, it was a three day vacuuming extravaganza (as it was on carpet...grr...)

I teach three year olds in Sunday school, I had this same group last year as twos. They are adorable, and make me laugh. Actual quote from one of my potty-training girls: "I wear big girl panties now. They have Dora on them. But my mommy wears pretty, see-through panties to bed!"

Oh, how I laughed.

I think gaining over Christmas may have actually been good for me, as I have lost 4.4 lbs since the BL challenge started. I am thrilled that just a few days in the routine has gotten me back down, plus a bit. I am now at 211.4.

LMAO@ the see through panties. Priceless! :smilielol5:

Glad you're feeling better and dropping those pounds. You should do really well this week in the challenge. :)

Oh, fyi--thankfully Granny's hospitalization didn't interfere with her bingo. A tragedy was averted. She doesn't go on Tuesdays or Wednesdays..lol. But I can assure you she'll be there Thursday night come Hell or high water! :D

Made up for a sluggish exercise week with a 90 minute walk today.

Feel "fuzzy" today for some reason. My brain is not working right. My eyes are itchy and burning. I think I overcarbed yesterday. These tend to be telling signs for me in that regard. I was better today, hopefully the fuzz will lift tomorrow.

Tomorrow the kids are off, but I must report for a teacher work day. Oh, hurrah!

Arg. My gym shoe broke. The sole came half off. I am irked. I cannot buy new shoes until the 28th. Does anyone know how to fix it temporarily in the meantime?? Otherwise, I guess I will just be swimming for exercise.

I seriously put a pair of work shoes back together once with Epoxy resin.

They sell it at most auto-parts shops, and it's really cheap.

I also used it to glue my side-view mirror back on!

Oh my gosh, that is HILARIOUS!

So you have a day with no kids, too? Friday was a half day for the kids (full day for us), and the kids are off on Monday, but teachers have to work. Blah. Oh well... at least no kids! :D

Congrats on the weight loss!

Hi Amber

Congratulations on a great week's weight loss. You did really well and lost a lot of weight.

I hope that you have managed to fix your gym shoes. I need some new ones soon too.

I loved the story of the little girl from Sunday School. So funny!

Take care

Ummm Rena honey, aren't you the one that made the comment about you and your husband walking naked around the house? Ummm.. I think panties are the last thing you have to worry about. HA!!! :D

Amber doll,
congrats with the weight loss. You've done fantastic since I've been gone. :) Also, I love your updated pix. I was looking at them earlier and was saying, "Wow. That's a cute ass 10 dollar dress right there! What a steal!" Also.... your close up pic.... you looking stunning!
