I've wondered about some of the disappearing people here I've known, such as you, Jenna and Elle. Hopefully all of you will make your way back soon!

I am doing alright in progress, SLOW, but steady. Currently I am trying to lose 9 lbs between the first of the year and my birthday (2-18). I think I can make that goal.
 
That is a very reasonable goal, and slow is better than never.
And yes, the name's Kari. I've wondered what happened to Jenna..
We used to talk daily on msn, but she seems to have disappeared.
I still wonder how she's doing and hope that she is okay ! :|

I started a new journal, I'm not sure if you're interested in it anymore,
but ever since I left this forum, I gained the weight back, PLUS some.
I didnt realize it at first but it just hit me when I stepped on the scale
yesterday, soooo i'm back ! I need to smarten up and get back to where i was.

Good luck with your goal, it's very reasonable, and you can do it !

Hey Amber! This made me laugh, you're hilarious! Glad you quit dairy, lots of people are intolerant or allergic and don't even realize it. I wish you lots of weight loss luck!
 
I was at a new low on my scale today, and am hoping it holds for my official weigh in tomorrow morning at the dietician. I ate well and had good movement today, so fingers crossed!

A friend offered me ice cream today, and I ate a small bit. But I thought, crap...in a couple weeks I cannot have any of this!

I like java chip rice dream...but not as much as real ice cream.

I did not go to the dietician today. 1.5 inches of ice covered the roads last night. School was cancelled, so I cancelled my appointment and crawled back into my warm bed! I will go tomorrow.
 
Yep. Plus, on a COLD day, nothing feels better than snuggling back under warm blankets against a warm husband and drifting back to sleep.
 
Ah, an ice day..lol. We had a snow day. However, they waited until H was halfway to work before they cancelled. Another driver was already heading to his first house to pick up kids when it came over the radio that they cancelled school. I don't know why they wait so long before they cancel. H kept checking and waiting, and finally had to go in b/c it wasn't cancelled. Dropkicks.

Anyway, I'm glad you and hubby got to snuggle in bed today. :D :party:

Um....panic attack!!!

I just realized that giving up dairy means most chocolate will be off limits. Oh my word...I thought cheese would be the death of me. No. I will die of chocolate withdrawal.

Bunny Val, HELP!!!! What GOOD tasting dairy free chocolate is out there?
 
There is A LOT of vegan chocolate, even Rice Milk chocolate. But....health food store AGAIN! :banghead: You need to come to the West Coast, we could make meals together! :D One of my favorite chocolates is Green & Blacks, and several of their dark ones are dairy free--EVERYTHING passes the taste test! Buy direct:

I LOVE the Maya Gold Bar but not everyone likes orangey-chocolate.

No chocolate would kill me too!!! My cousin has vegan chocolate which i liked and im really really fussy when it come to choc so i will try to find out the name it tasted like cadburys if you like that?
