AmbaLove is Tracking the Journey!

Good job on getting down even more!

Many years ago my mom had a lot of bleeding and she ended up getting very anemic. Make sure if this continues that they check you for anemia. She became very weak and sick from having lost so much blood.

Hi Amber

Your hubby sounds absolutely gorgeous. You were a wise girl to snap him up.

Take care
Love

Claudia, they have checked my iron twice since this started and told me "You are compensating well." My prenatal vit. has iron in it, too.

Everyone else, yes I do have a wonderful man and I need to remember that when everything else feels crappy. Because he makes up for it, really.

Today, I had a personal triumph. I needed a dress for a party I am cohosting tonight and so, shopping I went.

And, for the first time since I was seventeen, I bought a dress that was NOT a plus size. Really!! It's just a regular XL bought from the regular ladies side of the store.

I'm so happy. My HS graduation dress was a 16 from Lane Bryant. It has been a long time since I got to buy a non plus item.

(In the interest of full discretion, it is a wrap dress, so there was a bit more flexibility in the wearing of it. BUT, it ties at my side, not out in front of me like it would if it was really too small.)

And, it was on clearance and only cost $10!

Great, great day! Party starts at 6!

 That has got to feel awesome! I know it does, b/c I'm able to wear some XL's again--not 1X's but XL's right? Oh yeah, go Amber! You shrinking savvy shopper, you. Have a blast at the party!

Oh, and I was gonna ask how you and hubby met. Got a cool, romantic story for us? :toetap05:

OooOoooh nice grab, Amber!! I'm telling you for all you curvy girls reading this, wrap dresses are stellar. They give you that little nip at the waist yet giving your hips and chest freedom to jiggle and wiggle to make all the boys drool. haha And the best part... only $10????? Niccceeeee!! So.... do you have pictures?? I'm such a picture whore. Sheesh.. haha Love yas, girl.

Actually, I have only a head shot of me from the party, but my friend got some others, so hopefully she will send them to me and I can share them.

Kimberly, my husband and I met in college and he scarred me for life the day we met. (No joke. He somehow caught the upper part of my hand with his fingernail, gouging out flesh and I still have the scar. He literally made his mark on me!)

We were just friends for 2 years before we fell for each other. But by then, he was 3 months from graduating and I had two years left, so we hung out but did not get into a relationship. He graduated and moved back to virginia. We had phone calls and IMs but we never talked about being in a relationship.

On my birthday 6 months after he left, he sent me a teddy bear and a spiderman toy with a note saying "Something to cuddle in my absence and something to remind you you're my hero."

I called him and thanked him (and cried) and he asked if he could see me over spring break. (I was going home with a friend from boston for the week.) So, he took the train from virginia to boston and we picked him up at the train station. We hugged, then just hung out all night.

The next day we went to the boston museum of art, and when we got back to our friend's house, he walked upstairs to the room I was staying in and hugged me outside my door. I let go and he did not. He whispered, "If I move back, will you still have me?"

I told him I'd have him even if he didn't. He moved back 3 weeks later and we started planning our wedding. (We never dated. We were friends, then friends who liked each other, and then we were together and it was IMMEDIATELY serious.) We got married 11 months after he came to boston.

So, that's our "romantic" story.

I loved that story of how you met and how you ended up together--very sweet. Where did you two go to college? Are you both from Missouri originally?

And is it still icy there? I've seen pics of St. Louis area on the news--looks nasty. Did you have school today? We're supposed to get freezing rain tonight, so maybe they'll have an "ice" day off school tomorrow.

Lovely story of you and H, you are a very lucky girl to have met a nice man while so young and not go through all the drama most of us girls have been through. Men in this area dont even like to settle down before they're in their 30s, its totally ridiculous.

Hope you're feeling better :).

We married at 23(me) and 24(him), which seemed old at the time, but now seems incredibly young. Not that that would have changed my mind at all.

We went to Evangel University, I am from Mo (K.C. area), he is an air force brat from nebraska and virginia primarily, with some california and maryland thrown in.

The ice melted today, but rain is still falling that will be ice by morning again. It took me 40 minutes to scrape my car this morning. Grrr...no ice day for me. School was in session.

Went to the gym today for the first time since 12-2. Felt good to get back in routine. I did 10 minutes stretches and core, 30 minutes weights, and 20 minutes true stride, big hill setting for 2.2 miles. Total 60 minutes and half of this weeks bonus down.

I love a nice romantic story.

Well done for getting all those points in the challenge last week. You did amazingly well considering all your health issues.

No workout today, back at the gym tomorrow!

ready for the freezing rain to STOP. Also ready, desperately ready, for winter break.

I bought a cute new purse today (a red coach knock-off). My husband said it is kind of hideous. I then showed him these adorable boots I want and he said they are fugly and people will laugh at me if I wear them. I told him this is not a good way to earn points.

He did, however, bring me and my teachers aide lunch at school today...so we'll call it even.

I think you can forgive him. :D

Things are getting kinda nasty around here, now, too. It rained all day, but it was warm enough not to freeze. Then it got colder and changed to snow, so the roads are a bit slick. I hope things warm up for you so it all melts soon. :)

I too am sick of this weather! Winter is not even here officially yet and I am ready for it to be over!!!
I think I should live somewhere sunny all the time.
The Bahama's would be nice! LOL
To bad about hubby's taste.
I find that most men don't have a clue about fashion.
But he did make up for it so all is good! LOL
