AmbaLove is Tracking the Journey!

Thanksgiving was great! I ate WAY to many carbs and am paying for it with a headache today. But I loved going home and seeing everyone.

Mom, both grandmas and an aunt were very complimentary about my weight loss so far, saying they could definately see a difference. That was nice to hear.

And today on the scale, I was not up..hoping it stays that way!

Sheryl told me to take pics of having my husband accompany me to thanksgiving, so here you go!

Jeez... you make me sound so damn demanding, ma ma. ;) jk Happy belated turkey day, dollface. You and the H are darling. (Hope you liked my rep comment.) I'm glad you both had a wonderful time yesterday. As for taking the test.... take it when you're ready to do so. We're just anxious, b/c we love the hell out of you and hope things work out. You just keep us posted, girly.... :hug2:

My mom agrees with you, she says she sees a big change in my face. I hope I see it soon!

And you are not demanding, I just like to make you happy...oh how many wrong ways can that be taken???? Anyway, you requested pics and I am happy to supply. Plus, that cutie pie husband of mine is always worth showing off!

I will probably test next week sometime...Breasts are still very tender, but that is the only thing different about me.

I'd obviously be happy if I am, but part of me is also like, "crap...this will put all that weight back on." Although, I'd just work it back off. Because I WILL get there.

I had another bleed in late october...I am thinking around the 28th, so I would not even be 4 weeks (and actually only around 2 weeks post-ovulation).

Ah, I wouldn't test then, either. I'd put money on this being an ovulatory cycle, and AF (it seems like folks here use RHC, but I have no clue what that stands for!) coming in the next few days.

I hope you don't mind me posting in your journal, but I just had to say you and your husband make an adorable couple!!!

Best wishes,

Frankie

I agree with Sheryl--take the test when you're ready. I so hope it turns positive.

And you weren't kidding about your H being a hottie! Hmmm...that cloning idea is sounding good again. :biggrinjester:

Glad your T-day was good, girl. Keeping my fingers crossed that there's a bun in the oven. :toetap05:

I don't mid you posting here at all, Frankie, come around whenever you want!

Kimberly, I agree about my husband. He is WAY cuter than me. I got lucky!! Here is my favorite picture of him from yesterday (he was passing the time while the women cooked!)

Got in my veggies today, onion, squash, carrot and pickle.

Went to the gym and did 30 minutes on the true stride at "easy intervals" setting, 10 minutes stretching, abs and lunges before lifting, 25 minutes weights, 10 minutes stretches and abs after lifting, and was still feeling good, so I went back to my trusty true stride and did the "big hill" setting for 30 minutes. Did 3.6 miles on the first go round, 3.65 on the second, for a total of 7.25 miles on the true stride and 105 minutes exercise (1 hr 45 m for the mathematically challenged).

I am pleased with my efforts today.

I didn't say he was cuter than you--I hope you didn't think that. I just said you were right about him being hot..lol. I think you two make a great couple. :) :drool5:

Nice job on the veggies and exercise, btw.

No, I did not think you said that!! I am just saying that. I have no problem admitting my husband is hotter than me. (But ask me again at my goal weight...)

Hey Amba, how r u doing right now? My doc told me i have PCOS too..i have this problem with acne :( and i was taking diane - now im off it n my skin is gettin bad.. anyways its cool that you go for walks with ur husband.. (I think its romantic too ;) )

I am doing okay, thanks for asking. I am no longer medicated for PCOS< as the meds made me very ill. I know take homeopathic remedies, in the form of chromium and gymnema sylvestre. I have breakouts occasionally, but it is never really bad. My skin is always better when I eat right and follow a skin regimine (I use Cosmedicine Oil/Blemished Line by Sephora, it was created and teasted by Johns Hopkins).

And walks with my husband are amazing, when I get to take them anymore. We do it a lot in the summer, but once school starts for both of us and the weather gets cold, they are rarer.

You and Hubby are such a lovely couple!!!

Way to go in the gym your really hitting it hard bet you feel great afterwards and can notice the differnce fron when you started

Its so nice when people notice the difference just makes you feel great and adds to the motivation of reaching your goal

OMG.. a man who reads!!! Swoonage material right there, girl. haha It's hard to find men who can read an actual book as opposed to flipping through some damn magazine and thinking, "Umm ok... I did my reading for the year." haha! I adore nerds!

And holy crap, ma ma..... almost 2 hours at the gym the day after Turkey Day?? Wow. You're my hero. I spent yesterday walking around my house in PJs and my big ol' St Bernard house slippers. hahaaa! Great job, honey!

You ARE a very nice couple! But equally so, you are very pretty Amba :). Good job keeping on track at the gym and not gaining after TG like me . Hope you're enjoying the weekend :).

Yeah, Sheryl, that was my favorite picture because it is SO him. He reads constantly, buys at least 3 books a month from barnes and noble/borders, has late fines all the time from the library, etc. On our way to my mom's it got too dark, and he made me pull off at a wal mart so he could buy a flashlight to keep reading. It was even a nerdy book, Immanuel Velikovsky's "Worlds in Collision." After thanksgiving dinner, some of us played tripoley, he sat in the chair next to me and read. He cannot even hear when he reads. Crazy boy. Gotta love him.

And, yes, I hit the gym really hard yesterday. I was determined not to gain for thanksgiving. I cannot afford to if I want to progress toward my christmas goal. I'm losing slow enough as it is! It paid off, though. Today, I am at 217. And thrilled to be there.

Good for you on getting to 217, though I'm not sure what your starting point was. Sounds like you'll be hitting "onederland" pretty soon!

Hi
217 is great! all that gym work is def paying off and i dont think there was any chance of you gaining after thanks giving with the workout you did the day after!!!
Getting closer to that christmas target and with all your gym work you will be there before you realise!

Enjoy your weekend
Sarah
