I recently read something about weightlifters shoulders and it mentioned military presses and weight lifting of the shoulders in general causing it.
It just generalized the cause, it didn't say if bad form specifically caused it or what....which had me worried and angry at the article for not providing enough info so I could be certain what about weightlifting can cause this injury.
I do 95 lb. military presses.
I also do something else that contributes to my worry, I do power cleans to help me get the weight on my back so I can do my squats and my squat is about to be 115 lbs. next week.
So my squat will be 115 lbs. but my military press will be 95 lbs....a 20 lb. difference.
Will hulking 20 lbs. extra onto my shoulder enhance the risk of injury?
Does anyone have info in general about this injury? I will also do more research myself.
Thanks.
