Thanks for this also but I never see myself as an inspitation to others. I am just a guy who got up and realized he was killing himself very slowly. Anyone can do what I have done- it seriously is not that hard if you think about it.:)
You look like you have gotten off to a good start. Keep the momentum going and ask questions here. Without this place I would either be doing everything wrong or quit because I got fed up with it all.

It's truly pathetic that an old woman pretty much has urban dictionary committed to memory -I've spent entirely too many years on Fark i think... :D I've turned into my father when I was a teen - old dude who thought he was young and would say expressions that made him look hopeless dorky :D
 
i had a marathon meeting with a client yesterday and he was telling me all about where he grew up... somewhere in southern podunk illinois... town of like 400 people (my high school graduating class had about 900 and that was a small school :D All I could think was - damn 400 people - what happens if you don't like those people? do you kill them and hope new ones move in?

Shit, I had more than 400 people in the Jewel parking lot on an average Saturday when I lived in Chicago.

Only graduated with 100 though in High School. One of the smallest high schools in the city though.

Losing weight, quitting smoking...they're both rather simple.

Quitting smoking?? You just have to want to quit smoking more than you want to light up that cigarette.

Losing weight?? Much the same...you just have to want to lose weight/be healthy more than you want to eat that nasty garbage, extra helping, whatever your weakness is.

They are both simple...deceptively simple. :D
 
Hey, Brian. I think you need to start a new diary. This one has a title that doesn't fit anymore. New one should be something like, "No Longer A Fat Man" or something like that.
