But anyway, I got there and did the 3rd day of the 5K training (same 1 minute running / 2 minute walking intervals). One more day of that tomorrow and I will have completed the first week!
MMMMMmmmmMMmm... Pizza Hut![]()
Last night after dinner, I washed all the dishes that my roommates so kindly left for me in the sink and then I fixed myself a drink (diet coke and vodka). I used a smaller glass so I wouldn't get too loopy but I can say that it made me feel pretty happyI went to bed at 10:30PM.
This morning I woke up at 6AM and ready to go to the gym! I'm surprised it was so easy for me to wake up this morning... usually I have to slap myself in the face a few timesBut anyway, I got there and did the 3rd day of the 5K training (same 1 minute running / 2 minute walking intervals). I was sort of frustrated this morning, though, because I'm experiencing back pain and I know it's from the running because I can only really feel it when I start running
I even hopped off the treadmill for a few minutes to stretch but when I got back on, I could still feel it bothering me. I pushed through it (which may or may not have been a good choice) so I'm going to take some ibuprofen and hopefully tomorrow it will be feeling better!
Now I'm just enjoying a cup of coffee and a banana for breakfast before I have to start getting ready for work. That's all for now![]()
Take it easy girlie! Pop some pills (maybe another coke and vodkaAnd have a long bath!!
Have a great day at work!!!![]()
Hi,
I was just reading your diary- good job on starting the 5 K training. I started running when I started my weight loss. I started at 255 pounds running from driveway to driveway ( I live in the country-lol) I ran a 5 KM run on January 1 and am now training for 10 KM on March 20. I never thought I would be a runner but here I am at the advanced age of 49 and 188 pounds trying to be a jock-LMAO. I have pain in my back occasionally when I run. As long as you don't have anything medically wrong - bad back, heart problems etc. it could be your stride. I find that if I just run and don't pay attention to HOW I am running- I get back pain. Make sure you aren't slouched over when your run- try to keep your shoulders back. Once I straighten up and make sure I am running heel toe - heel toe ( helps with shin splints) the back pain goes away. Good luck on the running - keep up the good work!!

I can't wait to see him again, I just want to call him up now but I have too much studying to do! At first when I read this I thought you had to do it all back to back in one afternoon and I was thinking HOLY COW you aren't even going to train for the marathon - your just going to try and do your best after simming and biking too!! The thing is I still totally thought in my mind that it could be done - I wasn't even thinking "what is she thinking!!! she can't do it".I grabbed a flyer for the Indoor IronMan on campus and I'm think about doing it! It starts today and goes through March 25th. To complete the program, you must do a 2 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, and 26 mile run.
Great start to the week yesterday! Doesn't it feel so good to be on track!
and I could have done without the snacks after dinner as I wasn't even hungry BUT I guess it could have been worse (especially since I was just hanging out with my roomies who ordered subs from Jimmy John's and were smoking... I didn't partake in either of those activities).
