Faaaaantastic job! You took years off yourself. Much slimmer. Well done and congrats! :)

Man, that's an amazing difference! Good job!

How tall are you? What did you find was the hardest part of losing the weight?

I'm 5'11.

The hardest part for me was, and still kinda is, not measuring my progress with the bathroom scale. I use to get very discouraged when the scale wouldn't move, and I would stray off course, either by lowering my calories significantly or by flipping off the scale and just giving up.

Another hurdle was emotional and "social" eating/drinking. I rarely cook for myself(even though im a great cook :D), so i'm always eating out. I get ravenous when I drink, or when I'm depressed or stressed. I've learned to control that. I still drink from time to time, and my life is not stress free by any measures, but I've learned to disassociate eating and drinking with pleasure. Not surprisingly, I've kinda took that a little too far now. I usually find my self eating a peanut butter sandwich and milk over the sink for lunch. I eat very systematically. I rarely sit down with the family anymore to have a nice meal and it bugs them, so I gotta work on that too.

Thanks everyone

Thanks for sharing.

I can understand the things you find difficult. Every monday morning when I wake up and go to the bathroom, I'll weigh myself and this week the scale went up 8oz. I almost freaked out until I stopped and realized all the advice I had given other people over the last couple months. The good news was that the scale showed a lower BF% than the previous week, so I'm just going to stick it out.

I had a cheat day in there too, something I've been good about avoiding for the most part, and it included some unhealthy foods. I had oysters on the half shell (not so bad, but high in cholesterol) then shrimp ravioli. Shrimp ravioli, not so bad you say, except they slathered it in a basil cream sauce that tasted of butter, so it couldn't have been good at all. To top it all off, I drank wine with my dinner, just to add to the calories. After that, my girl and I decided to hit the bar, so we each had a Mai Tai there and some scallop ceviche. All in all, I'd say I went pretty far over my 1600 calories per day limit that day, considering at dinner I needed 450 more calories to round it out.

Anyway, sorry for ranting. Dinner and drinks are the bane of following a healthy eating lifestyle. [/endrant]

I cheat every Saturday. I got out for a couple of pints of Hef and a bluecheese burger. I lift right before I go out though, so I don't feel too bad about it :)

You look REALLY good! All that hard work has 100% paid off, well done! And you are SO beach ready!
Well done again! :hurray:

Thanks

I still have fat around my belly and saggy skin. You can't see it in these photos. I'll post some where you can see it better.
