It was a good day, I ate well, exercised and feel good. Not as much exercise as some days, just a 6 km walk, but enough. I also helped the stepson move this afternoon, so I got in some heavy lifting.

Thanks Cate, I kind of did. I am sure I am fitter, thanks for that too.Don't be afraid to have a lazy day
Thanks LaMa, you are very perceptive about how I am feeling, and I know you are right about the moderation being harder than denying myself. Even with just the slight increase in eating I have been doing I feel that. And thanks for your vote of confidence, I am going to try, give it my best.A lot of the early process is just getting better at the movement because your muscles know what to expect. Your muscles can´t really grow while in a caloric deficit.
This must be a scary time for you. The temptations of the world haven´t changed. Your weight is starting to look like you´re approaching maintenance. So what to do when you go out of weightloss-beast-mode and return to normal? Will you be able to resist temptations even if you have the calories to play with to have more than one bite of them? Moderation is hard, much harder than denying yourself stuff. And it doesn´t come with big, shiny rewards on the scale. But trust me, as someone who struggles mightily with maintenance, the struggle of being obese again would be so much more frustrating. You can do this, even if it´s not as straightforward (and easy to understand for outsiders) as "just" sticking to a calorie-reduced diet.
A couple of weeks back and it seems ok. Things have changed, at the gym there is a 10 ft (3 m) spacing requirement, and everyone has to carry around a disinfectant spray bottle and spray every piece of equipment before and after touching. They do seem to be enforcing the rules.Have you been back at the gym a while now Rob? How is it feeling in there re Covid?
Thanks Cate, that means a lot from you. And I know it does seem like a "mammoth achievement", but sometimes it doesn't feel so mammoth. I just wonder why it took me so long to finally do this. That is one mammoth achievement, Rob. Well done champ!
Got a kick out of that one LaMa. Thanks!By now you´ve lost an adult human beingSounds kind of careless, now that I come to think of it...
