ok... i have to admit they did give a weight after that. it does make more sense to weigh fruit than calculate by volume, but i suppose it's because so many more people can picture a cup and actually have a cup on hand, than to guess a weight or even have a scale to check. i suppose the way (weigh?) i'd do it would have to be weighing beforehand and then subtracting the pits afterward. does anyone really pit cherries before eating them?
i was eyeing some cherries a few days ago, but they still seem a bit too pricey yet.
