AEL33107 Size 20 *Journal*

Hey! I just spent the better part of an hour reading your diary! It sounds like we have a lot in common.. Although I started closer to 300lbs, I am down to about 247lbs right now... I am 21, married, and my husband is an aspiring body builder/personal trainer, and i totally understand the whole thing.. although i dont like when he tries to tell me how to work out or eat but at the same time i know it is with the best of intentions.. He loves me for me, and will only love me more when i lose weight because i will love myself more. I dont have a cute little puppy like you but i do have a daughter who is 2 years old. I would really like to talk sometime if you are interested. I will keep an eye on your diary, it is definitely motivating me! :) -Brittany

Hey Brittany it's nice of you to stop by!! And even better to read that my diary has motivated you. Word to the wise forget the posts where i was pissed off about my medical problems.. i have anger issues sometimes! hehe

Great to see you have an amazing husband too whom makes you want to rip your hair out sometimes, men rock.. i want 10 of them.. locked in a closet somewhere just awaiting to compliment me or something LOL

Well there you have it... actually not as bad as i expected.

I guess my arms have been getting a work out on the Wii Machine! lol


Okay so... that was starting over.. and i didn't want to do this again until like a month.. but my man kinda did it for me.. and gosh i wasn't very excited but lets see how i did...


Bust area: 46.5 (-.5)
Under Bust: 42 (+1)
Belly Button: 48 (-1.5!!)
Hips: 50 1/2 ( no change ... but better than a gain!)

Upper Arm L: 15 (+.5)

okay so... in total i've lost 2 inches and i've gained.... 2.5 inches.. so really just gained .5 inch hmmmm that bites... :) but my arms are probably getting more muscle since i've been boxing.. so maybe less punishing more kicking and running..

TaiJutsu (not sure i spelt that right) and Helping clean a yard

Okay best part about needing to lose weight is... no matter where you look you have a daily workout!!

Let's start with yesterday Tuesday August 21st. After work I went to lake parker ran a bit walked a bit.. sweated a bit.. and my husband drove his boat around in the lake a lot o' bit.. he sweats as well.. is hot out there.. lol

Well after that we met up drank an ocean full of water and I told him my inner thighs need more muscle and I need to start focusing on that area.. so he says"hunny Taijutsu... trust me.." so he shows me how to stand and how to i guess get ready for an attack.. basically you are standing up right and if someone comes at you you move one leg back and point your toe to the side and the other foot stays but you turn your toe towards the attack without moving your heal and then you bend your knees.. but all in one motion. At first i said okay.. no thanks.. it doesn't feel liek much.. so he walked away as he was going to get something from the truck and said "do it a hundred times the RIGHT way and then you can stop.." well.. he came back after my hundred (SITTING IN THE TRUCK WITH THE A/C BLASTING GRR!) and said "so...?" i didn't complain it's amazing.. and my legs hurt in all the right places this morning.

But just because you have some pain doesn't mean you dont work out the next day right?? RIGHT.. so today August 22nd I spent half the lunch running up and down the stairs at my job.. just about 25 minutes.. in a hot stairwell.. that hit the spot. Then after work i came home relaxed.. took my baby for a long walk.. and then did some ball exercises and some Wiiiiiiiii :). Now remember how i said at teh beginning 'no matter where you look you have a daily workout' well.... my friend's family just got a house.. with about 4 arces of land. and on this land there is a lot of bushes.. and such that need to be cut and dragged into this huge pile of crap and burnt.. :) so.. i got some clothing on... and dragged my butt over there and helped for about 1-2 hours.. that is a huge workout.

Anyway.. i ate good for the last 2 days.. umm drank only water and crystal light.. and sweated my butt off.. so... i love my life and i hope today i will hit 245.. and if i dont.. i may break the scale.. but since i dont want to buy another one.. i might just kick it a little and work harder for the rest of the week!!

I should be in bed

Usually on the week nights I'm already showered and ready for bed.. but tonight i did a little extra and just finished my before shower exercises.

I feel great.. other than my period of course.. and I know i wont hit 245 since i'm retaining water but i'm not going to stop exercising because of some cramps.. this is why god gave some guy an idea to create the heating pad.. ahh i love humans and i wish to be one someday :)


Well anyway i sorta noticed i haven't wrote down my new exercise morning and night thingy plan.. whatever blah. So... incase i lose my memory here it is :) (i LOVE backup plans.. but ummm what if i forget my password? lol)

Everyday I do some things no matter what I have planned. This is how it starts for me :)

In the morning i wake up do some nice stretches, then 5 minutes of pilates, followed by 60 crunches, 100 jumps on my rope (and i dont start over if i mess up.. i'd be there for HOURS), and then do some leg/arm lifts with the ball. (every OTHER day i do the squating against the walll thing. that crap hurts...). Then I do some more cool down stuff.... and gave my pill a glass of water and wake up the dog to go potty. then he comes in and eats, and I jump on Wii (i have two Miis.. the MorningAmy and the EveningAmy) I do my training boxing, and then i kick some guys buts (adding Kicks as well as my punches even though the kicks do nothing!) After that it's about 5:15, I take the dog out for a nice 15-20 minutes walk/jog (depending on what grendel wants.. sometiems he's tired and just wants me to carry him.. yea 50 pounds of boxer in my arms.. that IS FUN!!!).

Okay so..
-Stretch
-5 Pilates
-60 crunches (NEVER putting my hands under my head or neck, that is just too risky)
-100 jumps on the rope
-arm/leg lifts with the ball (that's hard to explain.. i'd have to show you.. maybe see if they have a video or something.. Jason came up with it as far as i know, probably he got it from somewhere though.)
-Cool down stretch
-throwing fake punches and kicks in the air.. although Jas says i shoudl cut thsi one because i'm turning the fat on my arms into muscle.. and i'm a chick and chicks with huge arms.. aren't "hawt" in his book (translationm.. he doesn't want my arms bigger thanhis or stronger than his.. LOL kidding!)
-15-20 Walk or Jog :)

Okay now you are thinking.. that is way too much to do in the morning.. and you know? it is.. I agree.. but it gets me up and going. Now i will admit I get up anywhere from 4:15-4:30AM every morning.. this way i get all this done by abotu 5:30-5:40 which gives me 20 minutes to get a shower, quickly do my hair, get on the clothing i put out the night before.. get y husband's clothing out for him and ready to put on.. give him a kiss since he is usually still laying in bed or JUST getting up.. and be out the door by 6-6:15ish depending on the weather or how much i realllly care about my job that day.

So that gives you an idea of my mornings... now as you can see i havenmt' eatten. i knwo bad.. but my meds say take on an empty tummy.. and the doc said try not to eat for about an hour after taking it. so .. this is why :)

okay i'm sleeepy night night!!!
 
wohoooooooooooooo 244!!! LOL okay i'm not THAT happy.. but i finally got below 246... geeze that took frever.. ticker updated...

i'm hungry and thirsty but i like my scale and dont want it to move :(

ugh.. oo well at least i'll be working out today!! :)
 
I'm So EXCITED!!!

Okay this mornign i was excited about finally being under 246 again! lol by 2 pounds.. but somedays all you need is a 2 pound lighter happiness.

So for breakfast I had a small cup of bran flakes since i wasn't very hungry.. had about 3 bottle waters (16.9oz each), went for a small jog.. a long walk.. cleaned the living room dining room did more housework.. then had a nice big salad... with tuna hmmm no Mayo.. and i jumped on the scale showed me at 245 so then i did my crunches, my leg lifts, jumping jacks, and some Wii boxes.. and relaxed.. after i cool down scale said 244.4 lol

My Aunt is still in town but not for long.. so i won't be craving chocolate.. yesterday yea.. i had chocolate.. but not tons so i'm good!

I'm just waiting for the cryer to stop so i can make the beds again with new sheets.. then gonna organize the hall way closet and the bedroom closet plus tide up my baby's crate a bit..

You know other than getting healthy and thinner this is really great cause i have so much more ENERGY!!!!!

Anyway... i'm thinking since usually i loose like 1-3 pounds 2 days after my period is done and i'm done holding in so much water.. so.. maybe i'll almost be 240!!!! OMG.. When i stopped before i was 242.. and i'm about to go under that.. gosh i feel like i'm on a high or something.. i'm just so excited about everything.. Jason think si'm going nuts... LOL

Anywaysss.. after the hosue is done Jas and I will be running for about 2 miles together.. which will be nice.. umm for him for me it may be torture.. but i shall manage :0

Okay so i noticed that my starting picture is me with long hair and i got it chopped off so i decided to take one more photo me with this shorter hair.. it's growing back but hey...

Small Steps

I think you hit the nail on the head. Take small steps at first and over time you will have built up the strength, stamina and want for exercise. Just as with someone was starting to play the guitar for the first time - you would obviously not expect them to play a full song on the outset, let alone a few chords :) What makes our bodies, weight loss and exercise any different. Be kind to yourself, and be consistent. The bulge in the tummy area will come off over time with willingness, consistency and a decision to make it happen.

Well i grew my hair out for my wedding in March 07, and after the wedding I was sooo over my hair so i waited it out for a bit then a couple weeks later chopped it all off!! my husband wasn't so pleased but he got over it and now i kinda miss my LONG hair! funny how that works huh?? it was a bit shorter when i got it done and now it's slowly growing back to how it was when i got tired of it lol

BABY STEPS... and i'm slowly but surely am getting my way higher and higher up that poll to success!!! I hope you stick around and get on of these started yourself, it is a great way to just let it all out and plan on how to lose those few pounds you want to live WITHOUT!!

I about died... had to reweigh myself... 3 times actually.. then i was like.. "no way... omg Hunny come look at this!!.. no wait don't come look at this.." (i hate him seeing me on a scale! LOL

I was about to die this morning.. 241.2 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How am i doing this? I dunno... yesterday morning i was 243.2 and now 2 pounds less (i weighed myself after work i was 241 but i only believe the morning weight). I am just soooo excited i feel like i have lost 500 pounds excited LOL - see it's the little things that make me happy... 2 pounds here... 1/2 pound there!

I just can't believe that sooon.. SOOON i will be under 240! And i really believe that everyone here is to thank for that. No you didn't run and sweat for me.. no you didn't smack me when i thought about stopping at BK for a whopper today (and yes i thought about it... for about an hour! LOL).. but you guys did motivate me and you all have been leaving me words of encouragement and inspiring me through your own diarys... so yes... I have everyone here to thank for that.. and gosh am i ever so pleased. I KNOW it's not like i'm at my goal... and i'm not done by far but it's just amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it.

Anyway enough stupid girly crap.. geeze i sound like a pregnant woman >.< (not that there is anything wrong with horomonal driver women.. i'm one.. i love them)

To kick off my FOCUS Challenge i decided to try and switch around meals.. i have doen it before and it was fun... i mean who gets to walk up and have a salad for BREAKFAST! me.. that's who!!! and a yogurt really only fills me up later in the day.. in the morning a yogurt and an apple is liek NOTHING.. I"M HUNGRY!

My husband used to do it on the off season, since he didn't work out as much this way he didn't gain as much.

Basically...

you take your breakfast... you take your Lunch and you take your dinner.. and scramble!

Breakfast now equals Lunch
Lunch now equals Dinner
Dinner now equals Breakfast

So take yesterday, I woke up.. had a nice half chicken sandwich with some carrots and apple slices. It was breakfast time but I had lunch :)

For Lunch I brought in a small amount of rice, Catfish, Broccoli, and had a side of salad.. it was really filling i didn't even finish it! = DINNER!

Then Dinner I had a Strawberry Yogurt, a Banana and the rest of that apple. =BREAKFAST!

I did have two snacks... the mid morning snacks was some Teddy Grams Oatmeal.. YUM.. and the mid afternoon snack was some Green Peppers and Carrots..

I wasn't hungry at all yesterday and do not allow myself to get hungry.. i eat 3-5 meals a day just smaller meals and space them out so my tummy is never feeling liek it's unwanted.. cause I love my tummy just not all the fat around it :)

Anyway... My exercising has not changed, well a little but -Wii really, and Wii rocks.. i miss Wii.. :( can't touch it until Sunday!! ARG!

So only thing I can think of is switching meals.. would that really help me lose weight? I guess it might cause dinner i dont eat late cause i dont have to cook.. usually i eat at liek 7pm this week i've eatten at 5:30.. maybe that is helping?

Anyway i'm just happy to be losing.. :) and when i'm happy.. umm everyone is? right? oka maybe not.. but i'm STILL happy!!
 
Wow that sounds like a fun thing to do. I could only imagine waking up to lunch. Mmmmm. Actually it kind of makes sense to me, I was craving cereal a little earlier in the night :jump:

it's weird waking up and grabbing a salad on yoru way to work.. but it's fun, and i guess it works.. only thinki can see if cause breakfast you dont eat much (or i dont) and dinner you eat a lot more.. so lunch and dinner gets burnt off? i dunno i'm not very smart.. I just do what keeps me going :)
 
A walk in the park w/ Mr. Saggy

Well i made a friend today... whiel working out i was about to give up when i saw this animal control truck stop.. told me be careful 6 stray dogs running around not sure if they are harmless.. and hasn't been able to catch 'em.


So me.. being the pet lover I am.. ran back to the car grabbed some of my baby boys food and got his bowl for water.. put it in a bag, and jogging towards the soccer area.. where they were seen..

saw one.. cutest little golden mut.. starving to death so i followed him around.. for gosh about 40 minutes.. he finally sat down.. and like looked at me liek "dang GIVE UP!" that point i put down the bowl (one of those cheapo tupperware things, put ther bottle water in it.. and opened the small bag of foodand put some the ground.. walked away sat on a bench and watched..

yup sure enough he came running.. and that's when i named him Mr. Saggy.. HUGE man area hanging down.. i was thinking ouch that has to hurt jumping around.

so he ate drank then we sorta got close to one another... he let me pet himsit by him we went for a walk by one another found a tennis ball at the court sorta played fetch.. he kinda ran after it then stopped and waited for me to come.

Kinda sad.. he followed me forever, sweaty nasty beat red faced me.. then animal patrol came.. she tried to get the dog.. but i wasn't going to help lol

so he ran off. I know it wasn't nice of me not to just hold him and make sure they come and get him but part of me was liek okay dog trusts me and i can't just hand him over to be put to sleep.. and he wasn't mean growling or anything.. just passive abuse by whomever had him before dumping him and his brothers/sisters. Sad.. i woudl have taken him home if he let me but I think he would have struggled if i tried to make him do somehting he didn't want and I just wanted to feed him.. not upset him.

Anyway Animal Control lady basically got mad at me.. and i went along my way back to my car and headed home..

so i worked out more today just from chasing a dog :)

Oh and ummm here's a disclaimer.. don't chase stray dogs for exercise.. they may be diseased or be aggressive.. you just dont know, me? I live on teh "wild" side LOL :cool:

ooo and yes this morning. 240.4 WOOOOOOT
 
Holy cow another 2lbs gone since my last visit!The weight is melting off of ya!
Lol chasing animals for weightloss I am the same way I used to always feed strays on my porch until I got a hold of a phycho cat that I took in and she loved me but would hiss at the gas man realatives and 1 day she got out and attacked this lady that was walking her dog cost me $280 hospital bill grrr.
So just me and winston for now oh and 4 kids lol :rotflmao: Congrats and continue what your doing cuz it's working,Tammy

Well i've been in a workout fuss fo i haven't stopped by here.. eeekk.. well i drop in and update my club and challenges... but my poor diary gets to hear nothing hahaha

i'll have to do it later though... gots some cleaning to do :)
 
You're doing so good! That poor doggie, I feel bad for him. There are a pack of wild dogs that live near my apartment. I always want to cry when it's raining and they are sitting out there all huddled together...I haven't seen them in about a week though so maybe someone came and got them...

I read about your thyroid problems. I totally sympathize with you. I've had a thyroid disorder since I was little. My thyroid and pituitary gland are all messed up. I actually started puberty at 5! I have to get checked every year. Because of my thyroid, I've always gone up and down with my weight. It really sucks! I don't want to take the meds they offered because there is a risk of heart problems.

Hang in there because you are doing so great!
 
Hello fellow teammate, thought i would drop by your diary and see how things were going? woohoo on the weight coming off so fast for you. that is so sad about the little dogs. I have 3 dogs, 2 cats and a rabbit at my house so we are a animal family.. haha we used to have 4 dogs 2cats and 4 rabbits but we have lost a few due to the heat last year. it was really hard on us. so now we really keep a good eye on our animals now. Most people are afraid of our dogs when they come over to the house when they first see them until they go outside with us cause the dogs are big but are really friendly.. they are big babies. anyways hope your doing good on our challenges.
