Iam 25 5/8 150lbs, have been working out on the elliptical 3-4 times a week for about 40 min for the past year, started running about 2 months ago. I'm trying to add weights to my workout b/c I have not got the results I want from pure cardio. I am a part of a run group, we run for 1hr including drills, warm up and cool down, avg 2 miles working on gettin it higher then we have core group one day that is 1hr of pushups, crunches, jumping jacks, lots of stuff! I'm wanting to tone my body, mostly my stomach area, I am apple shaped so I have nice legs but have a "tire" around my stomach
Its ok to run and lift weights on the same day right? Also is alternating b/w different preset programs on the elliptical enough variety to keep my body from getting used to it and burning less fat or do I need to be adding the bike or something? I'm a maid a few days a week also
