There's so much to update with. First, I didn't get the job at the hospital...that interview couldn't have gone better :( Mom says they probably got someone with experience.

But, I did manage to get work at movie gallery, paying minimum wage. Its a start, probably stay there for a few months until I get something better.

I have bought some protein powder at sam's club, this EAS stuff anyone has an opinon on it?

I've decided I need to uptake my protein. I *should* be getting plenty of fats from my fish oil pills, and the fact that I consume peanuts daily (also need to try different nuts like almonds) as a snack.

I am still wondering that my investment is worth it. I am still eating at a calorie deficit, so my body my convert all the excess protein into glucose (edit: actually, this is incorrect...actually, i believe its acetyl-CoA.....eww! chemistry...lemme shut up) and use it for daily mainitenance.

I know I should upgrade my calories, so my body won't feast on my muscles, but I have been losing weight pretty fast, and I don't want to see that progress stop :(.

I guess my question is, is it a good idea to use whey protein when you are at a deficit, or is it a waste of money? Heh...

Anyways, back to studying. I am probably going to change my majors...i'm thinking about something in biochemistry (heh...i'm so undecisive, guess it becomes of being a libra)....

it's said that it's a lot easier to find a job, when you have a job - and any job gives you stuff to build a resume from -so congrats on the job - that's awesome :D

I think I ended today pretty strong. I fit in a decent weight lifting routine followed by some straight cardio. I don't perform as well in cardio on weight lifting days (no suprise) but I think i accomplished a lot.

I did well on the dinner. 160 calories is hardly any, but I did manage to have a light, and fairly filling dinner :D (i went over by 1 calorie, sue me)

Whoo, check out all the protein I ate (and good fats too...from the peanuts, egg, etc). I think today was awesome eating wise and exercise wise.

Lemme read a little bit and start studying again. If only all days were today :)

My only thing is that with the hard boiled egg, i ate the whole thing, including the yolk. It has a tons of cholesterol as well as good fats...i'll do more research to see if this is a healthy option or not.

Today was pretty good. My bio2 class was short and i think i did awesome on my test (i need to bump up my grade! i'm at an 88!!!!)

I had some publix spicy chicken wings for lunch. I couldn't find the calories online, so i estimated how much.

My eating track is all right, again, i'm screwed for dinner, but its supposed to be the lightest meal of the day, right?

Tonite, I have some raquetball planned and lower body resistant training. Probably maybe watch a movie and come back. I have a ton of study to do for A&P, I have a test next wedn.

I called movie gallery. The manager there seems extremly nice, saying that if it was up to him, i'll be in there working already. I have to wait for the district manager to call me and talk to him. I should be working by wednsday.

Tomorrow, I have some plans tomorrow nite, hang out with some old friends from high school. We are going to smokey bones, a local bbq resturant, and then see transformers. It'll be all right, but I'll be rather hanging out with liz :)D), but she hasn't giving me a call (she started a new job). I must say though, I have been so stress free lately when we decided to be friends...really....part of me is a little regretful, but i didn't know how complex the situation was.

Tomorrow, I also plan to do some HITT. Thats it for now...in my eventful life. OH, i need to settle some financial aid stuff and transient form information at USF...meaning i have to drive up there pretty soon. I gotta stop procrasting and get up there pront. Also, my room is kinda messy, so i need to get that done as well :D

Well, things didn't to as planned.

I didn't get to drink my protein shake i was expecting today. My folks bought chinise food and i gave in to temptation, i ate it. About 600 calories worth.

I was going to drop the protein shake and weight lifting, but when i met up with my friend, we just did cardio. then we did an awesome job on the beach (wasn't so awesome, my pants got wet, really hard to run), but I had a ton of cardio in today. Didn't get my heartrate as much as i wanted too, but hopefully for sunday.

I will do lower body resistance training definitely tomorrow and i will have my protein shake. Today, i went over by 155, which isn't THAT BAD.

I had a ton of protein in my diet, which was good. Not sure about my good fats though.

Anyways, gonna read some forums a little bit and sleep. i'm tired
 
"Cheating" once on your diet isn't gonna hurt you that much....esp when it's only over by a few cals....plus still you worked out and did some exercise...

Yeah sun, I know, i'm hard on myself (but I have long since past the time when the old me would screw up on a diet, fuss about it, and go back to my normal "unhealthy" life style.

Yeah, and i did exercise. Some people go to the beach at night to do....not so nice things:)p)....(i.e. make out). I went jogging with my friend, and I even saw a sea turtle :). Grrr though, i were a pair of long shorts (past my knees) and they got wet and it was hard as hell to keep up the pace. It wasn't that bad jogging bare foot as i thought it was...and the sound of the beach was awesome :). Grrrr...i wish i lived on the beach, I would be out there every nite.

But back to the orginal topic...I did take out my protein shake and my snack of nuts to compensate, so I did go over, but not as bad. And I have a feelign I overestimated on that publix hot & spicy chicken, since I couldn't find the nutrition facts online. (but they contain no trans fats, so its not that bad, right?

Today I have some cleaning to do around the house...especially my room (vacuuming, laundry, etc)

I am going to see transformers tonite and also a bbq resturant. i am going to go online before hand and look at the online menu and know exactly what i'm going to eat before i get out, and hopefully, the number of calories and protein as well.

I've decided to start counting protein in my diet as best as i can. As time goes on, i may implement programs like FitDAy, and start recording other macronutrients, i.e. fiber, fats, carbs...etc.

Off to another weekend...:) I need to study for A&P, my test is wedn!
 
I plan to consume approximately 600 calories at the bbq place tonite (if too much, i'll carry the rest home)...maybe a grill chicken breast or something

I plan to work out around 130ish-200pm, lower body resistance training AND 30 min of cardio.

BBQ resturant should be my last meal of the day. So that makes around 4 meals a day, including the protein shake, which shouldn't be that bad. Only reason I ate the peanuts is because I was feeling for something sweet and i saw the ginger snaps. Then "trans fats" popped in my brain, and I chose the nuts over it (poly/mono :D).

I should be fine after the bbq tonite. And I like this thrend i'm developing. Planning out my meals in advance AND making lunch my heaviest meal of the day.

Today was pretty good. THis morning, I didn't have time to eat a proper breakfast, so I only had some peanuts (good fats, yay!). For lunch, I ate with a resturant with a friend and i order the chicken slov..however you say it, and the thing was huge. A lot of food, all soo good, mostly vegetables. The only thing i didn't like is that they fried the bell peppers and onions, but it was so good. And so much food. I didn't want to take it home for it to waste, then the sauce would go into the pita and i knew i woudln't eat it.

Hard to estimate, but i said about 1200 calories in that one serving. and i'm still full! nearly 8 hours later. I really can't believe resturants serve so much food.

Believe it, my first greek dish, and i loved it!

I plan to go out for a jog and go home and perhaps, eat a light meal with a protein shake or something. I really want to try to get all my protein in.

Today i'm off to a pretty good start. Taking a break studying A&P, its pretty interesting stuff, the muscular system! :)

I am pretty sore from all the cardio i'm doing so today will be upper body resistance training followed by a 30 min walk. Approximately 150 calories burned during weight lifting and 150 cal burned during walking. Tomorrow will be back to my normal regime, lower body resistant training and 30 min cardio, steady rate. Then wednsday will be some HITT. Hopefully, my body will be up to it. My body is a little aching, especially my lower back and my hamstrings, but i've done a lot.

As I recorded in the july 2 lbs a week challange (i don't record my weight in here, i can always refer to that to see how far i've progressed) i've only loss 2lbs. But, i've been eating a ton of protein, so i'm sure that has help with musle atrophy.

Anyways, I had a lot of peanuts as a snack :D. So, I will set aside aproximately 500 for lunch, then a protein shake after my work out, and i'll have approximately 250 for a light dinnner.

Anyways, back to the books.

Oh yeah, movie gallery should call me today or tomorrow. I will start wedn it seems.
 
Great job on losing those 2lbs, that's a good weight loss you know!! :) I'm sure all this cardio is going to throw your metabolism in full force. I hope your getting plenty of rest and plenty of water, that way you will be good and ready to take that test. Hope the outcome is a great one!!! Keep up the good work and WOW on cardio workouts, YES!!!! :)
 
Ladybug, thanks your concern. I make sure to get plenty of sleep every night (I love sleep so much, if i had an extra hour in the day, i would use it to sleep) and i do drink plenty of water. I have grown to love water...I hardly miss sodas. I remember days when I would chug so much cans of soda...not water is my drug :)


Damn, over 25 calories, damn peaches lol! But damn! look at the protein, i did pretty awesome in that area.

Today was pretty light, just some weight lifting and a light walk. Despite that, my shirt was still half covered in sweat :confused:

Oh yeah, I OFFICALLY GOT THE JOB AT MOVIE GALLERY. I start Wednsday, and i am going over to the thrift store to buy a red polo shirt and khaki dress pants. Meh, i'm happy to get a job, not the ideal job I was looking for, but hey, its a job :)

Gonna read other people diary's and more studying. And damn, I had weight too much peanuts today as a snack. After eating that one bagel for dinner, I wanted another one :(
 
Well - 25 cal is nothing. Labels have a pretty high error margin anyway so it doesn't matter that much!! You have done so well so far!! Very impressed :D

Damn I dont check in for awhile and you lost 2 lbs - changed your routine/schedule/eating and got a job - way to go - your doing great - so all the stress and such has died down and how is Liz...you two still hanging out and being friends...

Im sorry it has been awhile ive just been selfish tired and busy and really just sticking to the exercise challenege and my diary - I will be back :D:D:D
