ok, i am back again, since my last lifting comp (State Powerlifting titles) i have done very little.

I am part the way through my PT qualifications after selling my web development business.

New Goals

Drop a weight division for my next comp
maintain strength at least, gain if possible
Complete PT qualifications

Method

get back to the gym after life has made time hard to find
actually sit down and finish my theory assignments
pass a prac on thursday.
improve my nutrition and meal times

thanks mal

school holidays started this week so i have the three boys at home all day, not just the 1 who is suspended from school at the moment, making time for myself hard to come by. tomorrow i have class and have two units of work to hand in.

a few weeks back i was asked to give a judo demonstration at the gym for the freestyle karate class but damn i was sooooo rusty and i was soooo nervous because it was a seminar with good martial artists from across the state.

my eating has been very mixed and at the moment i am going cold turkey giving up caffein, i drink toooooo many empty calories.

Hey Girl! Good to see you back. I look forward to hearing about all your hard work, you always do have good training habits.

thanks MJ, my habit the last few weeks have been shocking :ack2:

yesterday went to class at the gym and have started a new unit on anatomy and muscle science but also found out i will be getting RPL for one unit so just a little closer to my goal.

ate ok yesterday but could have been spit into smaller meals spread out through the day more.

exercise - a bit of walking - not much, felt odd spending 4 hours at the gym and not working out.

exercise was almost non existant yesterday, a bit of walking the 200 meter hill between the house and the shed where my washing machine and kids rumpus room are and a bit of walking when i went shopping. The rest of the day was spent sitting at the computer studying different joint types and functions.

I need to finish my qualifications so i can start bringing in an income again.

I HATE BMI

I recently applied for life insurance and the insurance company sent me for medical tests at my GP, my doctor said i was NOT FAT and all of the tests were clear so the insurance company sent me for MORE blood tests all of which came back clear, I have no health problems. BUT because of BMI the insurance company wanted to ad a 75% loading on the policy premium AAARG my husband and I told them to stick it where the sun don't shine !!!!!

I calculated that if i had a 0% bodyfat i would still be obese acording to BMI.

BMI does not work for Muscular people in adition I also have a heavy bone structure acording to both a specialist sports doctor and my surgeon.

today depending on what the rest of the family plans are i will hit the gym for a few hours for a bit of stress release.

Thanks for popping in on my diary. 'Preciate the support.

I get what you are saying about BMI, I posted something about it somewhere else (Trops' diary?). I have co worker in the same boat. Heck my cousin is in thesame boat. He's 6'6" and 245, and they call him overweight because of BMI. He should show the insurance companies his rack of trophies from competition rowing. He was on the US men's team in the '96 olympics for crisakes!!

That's great that your gym teaches classes! How cool.

You're food looks great so far! Good workout too.

Keep up it, you're doing great!

it is now sunday morning and the beginning of my danger day, I will be out all day DMing games where the usual food is Junk, Junk and more Junk aaarrrggg

ok my food was pretty bad but only 700 calories over my planned intake details are in my signature link.

so for a day i knew would not be good it was not as bad foodwise as it could have been.

monday morning and my glutes and quads are a bit sore so will be doing some walking to get blood flow going a bit followed by a bit more stretching and i should be fine tomorrow.

I was expecting worse today considering the time that has passed since doing a good workout.

brekky today was some fruit and nut mix, it is a bit hard to get enough fibre in each day without the ability to eat foods with wheat in it :banghead:

1 more week of school holidays for the boys and i can't wait till they go back to school.

I need to get in some more practical experience writing programs for my PT qualifications not as a course requirement (passed that bit) but so i feel more confident in what I am doing. I have the knowledge but still a bit nervous.

ok spent 30 minute walking to get the blood flow going in the old legs, got the heart rate up with 2 king browns on the driveway enjoying the 32 degree heat (measured in the shade) thats 89.6 F.

looks like a bad snake season this spring at least there has been no taipans so far this year.

urg, i hate it when it gets hot and the snakes are about because many are rather venemous

i count 10 on this list i have seen at home.

urgh, it reached 36 degrees yesterday (96.8F) but at least i kept my calories under control. this morning i will hit the gym before it gets to hot to do anything physical. my legs are still a bit sore but will be working upper body today.

Oh wow. 90+ degree weather! [I'm glad I checked your about you to see where you're from first lol]. I don't think I'd even wanna move off the couch in that weather! However, I'd be hightailing it outta there if I ran into any of those snakes...

the snakes are a bit of extra motivation to keep the ass moving when you see one.

I have to admit, your workouts put mine to shame. I might have to step it up a bit...

BTW, you have Coeliac? So wheat isn't so much the problem as gluten, which takes out quite a few grains from your diet (wheat, oats, rye, barley), and leaves you with corn, soy, rice and maybe a couple of others right?

Yup, must be tough to have such a restrictive diet. I did it (tried to) for a little while because of a companion problem (dermatitis herpetifomis), which turned out to be a misdiagnosis anyway, so I'm not restricted now. It really is amazing what products have gluten in them.

yep lots of stuff has gluten in it but wheat causes the worst reaction, makes for a boring diet and i have to concentrate on getting enough fibre. i spend a lot of time reading labels at the supermarket.

i do have a couple of older diaries around here somewhere

temperature today wasn't as bad as yesterday but it is almost time to go and cook supper, i am cooking kangaroo steaks tonight.
