A new stage of the journey

Wednesday Morning

I can feel almost all of the muscles i worked yesterday, but i think i went to easy on the shrugs.

Ate skippy last night for supper but not as much as i was going to because the kids like the roo steaks and wanted extra which is a good thing.

today should be a quiet day, will do a bit of walking later and posibly hit the heavy bag for a while the do a bit of study.

i will be in chat for a bit this morning while i do other stuff on the cumputer if anybody want to say hi.

Is that real kangaroo?

yes, real kangaroo, it has fantastic protein and is low in fat, a lot more healthy than beef but my husband won't eat it, he does not like the idea of eating the animals on the Australian coat of arms lol, whereas i will try most food including native animals such as

Kangaroo (Nice slightly different texture to beef)
Emu (lovely)
Crocodile (wish i could have it more often)
Turtle (Yuk)
Goanna (Ok)
Dugong (Yuk)

I also enjoy liver, kidney and tongue but not tripe.

managed to do a bit of cardio this morning, walking 15 minutes, heavy bag 20 minutes (muay thai) 1 set on the pec deck (I need to oil my home gym which i dont use very often)

What games do you DM? I find the diet at games to be quite enlarging as well :)

Usually D&D 4e because of the number of players in my area but also GM Pendragon, MERP etc.

I don't envy your effort knitting your chainmail, thats hard work.

Thursday Morning

its thursday morning and i have class soon, planning to do a light leg workout after class because i will have extra time with hubby having a day of work and will be looking after the kids.

the science behind becomeing a PT is awsome fun but getting back into good study habits is hard.

I'm still getting used to 4e - I was quite the Living Greyhawk 3.5 player. I've started playing Living Forgotten Realms recently. I'm not so sure about playing yet, but I have found that I love running 4e so much more. I always ran really weak monsters in 3.5 because I had the hardest time figuring out tactics from stat blocks. 4e is much easier to run and provide a challenging encounter.

My PHB is already falling apart though <tear!>

What is "your area"? Do you do cons and such?

I havn't been to or written for a Con in years and because of other comitments i missed going to Gen Con Australia :( but I am a master level DM. The change from living greyhawk to living realms was a biggie but i am finding 4e to be more balanced to DM.

I am looking forward to running the first Dragon Coast adventure but have organised to run the Weekend in the Realms this month.

I have only played a few session so far but will get in a few more games when we rotate DMs in a couple of months.

does the ink smudge on your books, it has on mine especially the MM ?

I haven't been able to get to a Gen Con either - I really wanted to go this year but it was too costly in the same year that I've spent 3 months unemployed.

We are Tymanther here. Our region sucks. Who wants +2 to athetics?!

I'm just a lowly herald level, but I am quite involved with the local game scene. My boyfriend is a master level going for his grand mastery and organizes the games for our half of the city. We have an entire room dedicated to gaming :)

We're getting ready for Weekend in the Realms as well. You'll have to let me know how your session goes.

I am getting ready to play the final core mod of Living Greyhawk - I'll be really sad when it's all over.

My 4e books ink is doing OK, but the spine is breaking and pages are starting to fall out. So disappointing...

I hope to have enough DMs for 3 table each session BUT I now have a problem for that weekend

I have got to go to class both days that weekend for my group fitness leader module for my PT qualifications AAARRRGGh :banghead:

:banghead: How the Hell am I suposed to be in 2 places at once. I will probably rely on my husband and my son plus 1 other DM for DM duties and be on call for any problems (Both my husband and eldest son are Heralds)

Spent 3 hours in class this morning studying workplace health and safety laws and regulations ----Soooooooo Booooring :ack2: folowed by 30 minutes on the cross trainer.

That sounds like a complicated schedule - good luck in getting it all figured out! I'm sure if you get enough DMs there everything will figure itself out. Bummer you won't be able to participate much though :-(

It's fun that your family is into it as well.

Good for you getting through the class and still working out. I find it so hard to go work out once I'm bored by something.

It is friday morning and today will mostly be a laze day, planning a bit of study a little cardio during the day to break up time spent on the computer.

Tonight my son has his karate grading so will hit the gym beforehand for a lower body workout.

Saturday my eldest son (age 13) will be joining my husband and I at the gym for a workout for the first time.

Yesterday I done a little walking, failed to concentrate on study but did do a light workout at the gym

10 minute warmup cross trainer

Squat
10 @ 80 kg
10 @ 90 kg
5 @ 100 kg

I had my son working out with me for the first time before his grading so much of my workout time was spent working with him to teach him good form with light free weights.

I will be hitting the gym again today.

25-26 I will definately be doing my group fitness leader certificate practical which is also a unit of my PT qualifications so i will qualified to teach group classes while i finish the rest of my qualifications. I have two units of work to complete by thursday. and group fitness leader theory due in before the 25th

The Harder I work the sooner i will be qualified !!!

Very cool that your family, particularly your kids, are as involved in the active aspects of your life as they are.

I raised great kids, who are becoming terrific adults in almost every respect. My one regret is that I never set a great physical example for them or pushed them in the direction of being active more than I did. I'm sort of hoping that they see what I'm doing now, and catch some of it.

my kids never seem to run out of energy, I done an upper body workout this morning while my husband ran on the treadmill and my son ran for 20 minutes before doing weights to work different muscles from yesterday. My son wants to improve his cross country time for school (a 6k run) even though he is already good enough to compete at a higher level but doesn't want to.

i will be in chat for a little while this arvo, it is tooo hot (30 C) outside to be doing anything else till later

today some friends will be visiting to hopefully help finish (with luck) erecting a new shed which will become an entertainment area and also include a new bedroom for my eldest son. Not sure what the weather forecast is but it will be a day of alcohol, BBQ, Hot Sun and hard work. it is 7 am now and the fog is just lifting so i expect a hot day.

Hmmm will have to workout what the calories burned are for shed building.
