A new stage of the journey

Truslyver,

Wow, gorgeous landscape that you've got in your backyard! I think it's funny (odd) that the British thought to use Australia as a prisoner drop off point a long time ago. Australia is so beautiful! You should see my backyard- all of 5' x 15' of it! LOL The only thing that dominates it is my kids' playhouse. You've got Roos, I've got lizards & frogs. I'd rather be there!

oh my gosh is that your yard? if it is, it's HUGEE!! here in california, the houses almost touchhh each other! no land. omg and the kangaroo is adorable! :) :) lovee!

ps hope your baby is feeling better!! :)

yep that is part of my yard, and the roo's visit most mornings

hit the gym for upper body this morning but struggled with bench press, still had pain deep in the thumb, had to modify my workout but it seemed to lack intensity.

Food has been ok and within calories but my mix of macro's have been a bit out of whack.

Spent some time this afternoon using the chainsaw to cut down a couple of small scrubby trees and trimming a few branches. I still have a couple of larger trees to tackle but the wind picked up a bit so they will be a job for another day.

I'm really sorry about the stress you have to deal with in regards to caring for and raising sons with autism. One of my friends has a VERY autistic son who's in the extreme category, where he regularly throws fits and cannot be around any sharp objects--but when he's in a good mood, he's a dear sweet little love :beating: He can't go to school and he looks 6 years old but is 14. My friend is a great mommy but it really wears on her--glad that your sons are not in that category!

I love your pictures. You are top-notch for being a world-class lifter and raising a family at the same time--Me Time and Mommy Time all on lock! CHeers!!!

Tru-that is some serious weigh loss COMBINED with serious inches, man I would kill to loose that on my hips, unfortunately I know my pattern and they will hang on for dear life LOL the belly will head for the hills (I am hoping). YOu know if hubby and I could take off and visit anywhere it would be australia, we are both so in love with it, Ireland/Scottland would probably come in second. I cant believe your morning visitor!

oh and evidentially I am not a powerlifter (confirmed by my 2'' bicep LOL) because your sigs crack me up and I never know what they mean.

have a good day

good workout this morning

30 minutes stairmaster - Max level + vest

30 minutes weights - Heavy Squats

60 minutes Fit Mix Class (running - modified beep test, stair runs, kick boxing, circuit, step, abs)

increased step height for step portion of class.

most of today has been slack after this mornings workout, with all of the rain we have been getting it is realy humid and doing anything seems to involve sweating buckets.

I will try to fit in a bit of extra cardio this afternoon while the kids are in their matial arts lessons.

relly, try fitting in some more squats into your workout, with weight if you can handle it :)

:D:D:DLucky me that is a boot cmap exercise:D:D:D

LOL!!!

Actually I dont mind squatting with a weight or doing 1/2burpies with a weight.

And UGH to your work out...LOL

Hey gym junkie whats up? Hope you are still on track iron woman!
I got to visit OZ several years ago (damn it was like 20 years ago) I loved it! I remember going to this park and they had fences around the place not to keep the roos in but to keep them out. I had no idea they were so abundant. Here in Texas we have coyotes kinda like that but not as many.

Tru, I just realized I'm a lazy douche bag. I think I'd pass out doing your workout ;)

But I agree: squats are the bomb. Everybody should do them!!! :)

bit of a mixed day, no gym today and i was unable to make it to class today so my study was a bit lax.

Morning

walk/Run 1 km (Hill) my driveway is very steep guessing about 35 degree grade

Wall sit 10 minutes - not max, interupted by son

Afternoon

30 minutes Heavy Bag work, Kick -Teh Chiang (Armpit height with power), Knees (my chest height but prob about groin height on most ppl), round elbows, overhead and uppercut elbows, spinning backfist, palm heel. a little punching but without gloves (they were in the car with hubby) and i didn't want to take the skin off my knuckles. All kicks making contact with shins.

damn girl!!!

hmmmm more of the same in my diary again today, I am hopeing that i can get a good training session in this morning. Scales are registering down .8 kg this morning after not moving for a while.

i am going to try this C25K that everybody seems to be doing here to see if it will improve my running for rugby this year. I have set up my ipod with my own music set to the correct interval times for week 1 and will see how it goes as a warmup for lifting today.

my right calf is a bit tight and i would almost kill for a massage but with a tight budget it is out of the question at the moment.
