I know it's been a while - a year more or less but I'm back - head hanging and tail between my legs.

I did write a post for yesterday and my ipad decided to delete it......i was so bloody mad lol so here is yeaterdays post

Repairing the damage day 2

Breakfast: 2 weetabix
Lunch: Salad with light salad cream, yoghurt and grapes
Dinner: Pork loin, cous cous, salad and light salad cream
Snacks: 3 kiwi's and 3 rice cakes
Total calories = 908

Karen the hygienist brought a stunning carrot cake into work and not only did i not have any but i brought some home for Mark :hurray: She is bringing me a birthday cake next week....a three tier cake....chocolate, carrot and lomon all covered in pink icing :) and it is calories free cos it's birthday cake :)

My leg is still really sore and looks gross. i will put some pictures on here, prob tomorrow.
My other cat is really missing her sister :( she seems so lost, bless her.

Ok, on to today

Repairing the damage day 3

Breakfast: 2 weetabix
Lunch: Marmite wholemeal sandwich, small bowl of mushroom soup, yoghurt and grapes
Dinner: Pork loin, mashed potato, peas, cauliflower and gravy
Snacks: 3 kiwi's, cereal bar and 2 shortbread biscuits!
Total calories = 1215

A pretty good food day today, i shouldnt have had the biscuits but i didnt go over my calories by much so all in all not a bad day.
Still not done any exercise, my leg hurts to walk, let alone run. By the end of the day it really aches :(
I have a day off tomorrow and i'm going to get some new running shoes (seeing as i have 9 weeks now until my great south run!!!! great timing with the bite huh) and some heavier weights. I am going to try and do a dvd weights work out tomorrow :)
I also aim to catch up on diaries tomorrow too. :)

I had it in my head that it was a dog at the vets who bit you. Your muscle being ripped open sounds gruesome. I really feel for you. And its messed up your running as well :( I seriously don't blame you for having some comfort food.

You getting back on track so fabulously is very inspiring though. I think I am going to try and do super low calories this week as well.

Snacks: Slice of granary toast with light spread and jam
Total calories = 1124

I've lost the weight i gained when i went camping!!!! Allready!!! I'm really shocked with that but extremely chuffed. I am 162lb at the moment and i want to lose another 2lb, or maybe a little bit more to get below 160 and then i will up my calories again. I can't believe i lost it all so quickly especially since i haven't done any exercise at all!
I am going to keep going with 1200 until saturday, it's my birthday then, i will try and be good but ya know, then Rob is probably back to celebrate with us on the sunday and then i have (calorie free :) ) birthday cake at work.....Then i have a weeks holiday on the wednesday. I will be good on the days i can and not worry too much on the days i can't.

I've had a nice day today :) Wednesday is my day off :)

I went to the doctors this morning to get another perscription for my meds and i had a chat with him about cutting down. Basically he said that when i did it the other month i was just not ready and he said to just keep trying when i feel like it. He also said maybe do 4 days a week to start and cut it down from there but not until i am ready. He also gave me websites and names of books to read to try and help understand my issues :) I came out feeling pretty positive. I will leave it a few weeks before i try cutting down again cos i'm still a bit fragile after losing Pooh.

I then went into Barnstaple and bought some new trainers :) I have had my others for a year now and it was about time i got some new ones, i thought i had better get them now so i can get use to them before my big run! I also got some new weights, some heavier ones cos the ones i have are weeny. Oooo, i got a pedometer too and i will wear it all day and put the step count and cals on here :) I had been given birthday money and i spent it all on fitness stuff, how sad is that?!?!!!!!

Popped into mum & dads on the way home and then came home, made dinner and then soaked in the bath. I showed the doctor my leg and he said that i need to massage and soften the solid lump that is on my leg (aparantly its deep bruising in the muscle) it didn't hurt too uch at the time but was sore afterwards so lay on the sofa with my leg up. I'm starting to get really pissed off with it now. It is healing well and looks so much better but by the end of the day it aches. I am going to attempt a short run on monday!!!! I have to get some running in soon, i have training to do for my big run.

Ruthie I don't have a big hole thru to the muscle, it just goes into the fat (disgusting huh) but the bruising is deep into the muscle as she got a good mouthful and shook!

Ok, my lovelies.....the olympics are calling (i dont think i have ever watch so much in my life, i am so loving it :) )

Wow Kate, sounds like you are really pumped again, and congratulations on losing that 'vacation weight! And to top it off, you spent your money on exercise duds...wow! I agree with Cate...that's not sad...it's what the slim, fit Kate does! Welcome to your new life Kate!! I'm also so happy you got some good advice from your Dr...sounds like they are really helping you...now for that solid lump on your leg...be sure to get that checked out girl...bruising muscle must have really got whopped to be hard. Take it easy...and don't over do it on "your next run"!

I've had a lovely day at work today. I worked with my best buddy Rachel. We dont get to work together very often and its great when we do. Lots of catching up and gossip :)
Jack had a show this evening and i had to go straight from work, hence the lots of snacks and being over my calories but i was so hungry and didn't get in and have dinner til after 8pm! I am not too sorried that i went over, it was all healthy stuff so it's all good :)

I wore my pedometer today and the bloody thing reset itself half way thru the afternoon!!!! it was over 7000 too, i was so annoyed!!!!! I will put it on the back of my trousers tomorrow and see if that makes a difference and if not then i will take the bloody thing back!!!

Cate I suppose it isn't sad spending my birthday money on fitness stuff....It really does show how things have changed in my life huh!

Sarah It is good to be back. I am busy for a lot of the summer so there will be times when i am not about but i will try and post as often as i can. You guys are such a massive, important part of my life :grouphug:
The Doctor did give my leg a good prod and he was quite happy with how it was healing. it is getting better slowly. It has been itchy as hell today which is a sign of it healing.
 
Hi hun, Still less than maintenance cals & not excessive considering how active you are. Well done Kate on getting straight back from camping & reversing your weight gain. AHey Kate! You're awesome as usual! My pedometer quit on me after just 1 day! I wrote to ask for a replacement...still waiting, so in the mean time I'm just doing what I've been done. You are doing so well...keep up the good work!

ASo glad that the dog didn't bite through your muscle. Its still horrible, but at least it will be less repair time. Itching is a really good sign that its healing, I know its probably driving you barmy, but it'll improve in a couple of days.

Are you on medication for depression :( ?

Glad you've got new trainers, there's nothing like nice kit to make you want to get active :D I am actually living in my gym kit at the moment eeek. Need to do some shopping for more I think... I usually go to the gym before dinner... And because I have no life I think instead of getting dressed in normal clothes in the morning I may as well put my gym clothes on. Then I come home, have a shower, then get changed into my nighty :D And its good you've spent money on something you'll actually use all the time, and what will improve your life. If I get money for my birthday I end up spending it on shit like fags and eating out.

Happy Birthday Kate!!!! And I so would spend money on a heap of new gym gear or random exotic health food that's expensive. Lol. But that's just me. Maybe we are both crazy!
 
AHi all :)

Sorry I have been AWOL :( life has been rather manic!!!! It's pretty busy for the next week or so too. I will try and get on but not too hopeful.
I will be back with a vengeance when life settles down in a week or so.
