hope you do not get sick...but it is this time in the year when everyone gets sick....I was as well directly after the new year has been started (and this was NOT due to to much alcohol as some thougth :p)

well done ;) not having coffee and pepsi (how can you...cola is 100times better :p )and having eaten something during the day...sounds really good ;) go on ;)
 
I feel much better today now that I was able to sleep most of the day yesterday. I really haven't done so well while I was sick. But I am happy to say that I am back with a vengeance!!!! I found this clip on YouTube an wanted to share

Now that my stressful week of being sick and to many things that needed to be done are over (for now) I am going to start a plan.

For my first week I will do

Monday, Wednesday, Friday Belly dancing 30 - 45 minutes

2nd week

Monday, Wednesday, Friday stair master 30 minutes

3rd week

Monday, Wednesday, Friday Tae Boe 60 minutes

and that is all I have for now. .but If I can keep up with this I will just keep going. In the past I start out with the Tae Boe and then by day 3 or 4 I am just wiped out and don't want to do it anymore. I fell great after I do but to get my ass up and get motivated is another thing.

for my husbands unit all the spouses are getting together and doing an AFN commercial so that will be the middle of next month and I at least want to FEEL confidant in it. .lol. .I am really nervous!!

I am also happy to say that I just baked 4 batches of cookies for the troops and I have only eaten two. .LOL. .after those two ICK. .I feel kinda queezy. . LOL. .thought I would share.

Sounds all quite good ;)

I love sport but I have the same problem as you have: Once started everything is fine but to start is such a hard thing :banghead: BUT: you will feel really good when sticking to your programm....You'll make it ;)

bleh i know exactly what you mean about the tae-bo... D: i dont know how many times i have started out strong for a day or two and then quit because its too intense for somebody out of shape =P good luck and have a great day^^
 
I felt like I had to post this but I made myself a workout log.

I have high hopes for this.


The belly dancing is SO much fun and it makes me feel a little sexier. .my hubby doesn't mind. .lol. .If you haven't tried it I recommend it highly ;)

When I first got my stair master I could barley do 1 friggin minute then I would get on it every day until I got up to 30 minutes I haven't been on it on a regular basis since summer so I am sure I might have to work my way up to 30 minutes I just wanted to set the goal at 30 minutes.

as for the Tae Boe not sure it its the same thing but what I actually have is billy blanks boot camp. .I know it's the same guy and all but I have I think 7 Cd's for different workouts but right now I think I should stick to cardio
damn, he was in Germany not to long ago I should have have went to meet him to get a few pointers. .huh kicking self in ass. .okay well I know that telling someone is the first step so here it is. .I am open to suggestions as well ;)

Going to Yabadoo tomorrow. .WooooHooooo :D
 
nice setup for your workout log^^ i have the same sort of thing going on... except i use a calendar dry erase board on my wall =D its sooo motivating having it all just set in stone ready to be accomplished!
 
I used to do that too but it was to easy for me to change things to "trick" myself. .lmao

so now it is set in stone well sorta. .

Well, we went to Yabadoo today and the kids had tons of fun and I chased my 16 month old around for 4 hours I think that was a good start to my workout. .LOL. .BUTTT we got home late so I just stopped by BK :( shame on me!!! I did get a salad and a burger but I ate my burger first and was full after so I didn't get to the salad. .oh well I at least have a ready made meal for lunch or dinner tomorrow!

okay well that sums up my day

I forgot the kids don't have school Monday so I am just hoping I can get up before them to do my belly dancing otherwise I am going to have to start with the stair master. then again maybe they will just want to do the belly dance with me. .LOL. .It's not the erotic type you would think of so I think it would be okay, either that or just kick em out of the room. . LOL. .I will let ya know how it goes ;)
 
:puke: I had a bowl of special K this morning when I woke up and really feel very sick!! THIS is exactly why I don't eat breakfast. I get so discouraged I know I have to eat breakfast to get healthier but damn I just can't eat anything with out feeling sick after words not even fruit or toast. I hate my body. sometimes I think it would just be easier to be an anorexic. .GRRRRR no I wouldn't do that it just seems easier than having to deal with food!
 
I just eat at about 11 or something, depends on my day, when I get up and stuff but I can not eat imidiatly after getting up....maybe that's the case for you as well?
And I couldn't eat special K (with milk, rigth?) in the morning...I always feel sick after eating milk...my body can't cope with the lactose (sorry I am to lazy to google for the englisch word for laktoseintoleranz...I am quite sure it is somehow the same...however, hope you got my point? ;) )

But don't force yourself if you really feel sick afterwards, that can't be a way to get healthy....can it?

Have a nice week and I am quite sure you will stick to your plan ;) Can't you involve the children in the belly dance thing? I guess this would be fun for them...wouldn't it? Okay I don't know how old they are...but dancing is fun, isn't it?
 
^^ Hi I just wanted to add that I too have the exact same problem - I've always had trouble eating breakfast -- I feel very nauseous towards food in the morning. it's like my body takes a long time to return to 'human' mode when I first wake up.

My trick is to eat about one hour/45 mins after I get up; First thing, I have a cup of tea, my stomach is OK with that. Then 1 hr/45 mins later, I'll eat - always adding protein because that really helps with hunger pangs later on.

I can't do cereal/carbohydrate-only breakfast because I guarantee I will be starving later. So I have bread & cheese / or eggs and it really works.

Good luck with your progress - the belly dancing sounds like good fun & probably a fab way to keep fit too :)

well even though I fell sick NO matter what I eat I have noticed I fell really really sick after eating cereal! So who knows maybe I am lactose intolerant. I never drink milk just to drink it either but just I guess is only because. .well I don't really know why.

Yes, I can involve the kids in the belly dance but ya see my problem would be that I have 3 sons they are 10, 9, and 7 years old and a baby girl who is 16 months old.. .well, we don't live in a very big place (I have tried this once before and was thinking of it last night) When I have gotten them to work out with me they turn it in to this huge brawling match I mean it is fun but crazy when you just want to get a good workout in. with the baby it's not such a big deal I just put her down for a nap and do it. No big deal though the kids had a friend spend the night last night so they are all over the place so I am going to do it later on tonight.

That is a good idea. . I don't know I have always heard that eating with in an hour of waking up is actually the best thing for your body. I have also hear that eating after a workout is better because you burn more calories for up to an hour or something after your workout.

I was just thinking about it this morning but when I first started here I was into the juicing and drinking that every morning and I did fine with that BUT I started to feel that that was not the rite way to go. .maybe it is for me I don't know maybe at least until I can feel good after eating. With the juice I sipped on it for a while so it wasn't like I ate in 15-20 minutes and was done. .I sipped on it for a good hour sometimes hour in a half.

I may try to eat hard boiled eggs too and see how that works (or would that be worse)??

I wonder too if because I haven't eaten breakfast in. . .? I think about 7 years that my body just needs to get used to it. I guess I could try to just do a little tiny bit at a time and go form there.

I am still not doing so well with the whole lunch thing also. .I have been eating fruit for lunch but I don't eat anything else in like carbs or protein but I am working my way there. . hm. . .wonder if after I get there with lunch I can work on the breakfast thing. .kinda going backwards I guess. .lol..

I'm going to be really busy this week so I won't be on much. I am doing my pre-spring cleaning because I DO NOT want to be dealing with all this shit when we pcs.
 
I haven't been doing my exercises like I had planned because of all the pre-spring cleaning I have been doing. .making really good progress I am almost done with the house and then I will move on to the basement. .I have been getting a workout though. .

I have been doing a little better with my eating I had bought some breakfast bars because I thought they would be perfect to start with to be able to get some food down in the morning but I felt really sick after eating one this morning. ..I think tomorrow I will just eat half a bar then drink a glass of water and then a little while later I will eat the other half and some juice and water. . they are really sweet so I guess that could be why

I have been looking for some healthy recipes but all the ones I seem to be finding call for crazy ingredients or take a long time to cook. .being a mother of 4 and all the stuff I have to do everyday there is no way I am spending all evening cooking

I will keep looking though. . . I think to loose 2 lbs per week I need to be eating 1915 calories a day. .so I am trying to figure all this out

One of my best friends just moved to Texas today so it has been an emotional couple of days and today I am really dragging ass.

Okay off to clean the fridge

oh I am going to post up the juicing recipes I found soon I just need organize it a tad. :seeya:

what type of cereal are you having and does it contain the same sort of grain as in the breakfast bar ?

you may want to consider an allergy test. I am allergic to wheat which if i eat anything with wheat in it i will feel sick afterwards and get a NASTY rash.
 
WOW, DUHHHH I never looked at the ingrediets on them before. .LMAO. I guess I just figured that the cereal is special K fruit and yogurt that it would be healthy and the cereal bar is the nutri-grain bars. .anyway I went and looked and on the cereal the first couple ingrediets list. . .rice, whole grain wheat, SUGAR and the the bar reads. . First ingrediet is HIgh fructose corn syrup, corn syrup. . Thank you for making me look!!! don't know why I never thought of it before, I guess I just figured as long as I was trying to eat something I thought was healthy it didn't really matter. I have been trying to read all of steves sticky notes because I really do want to do this right. I have started looking at calorie intake but I need to find out more.
 
mhm are you able to read German? Because there are a lot of good cooking books (is that the rigth name?) with recipies wich do not have special indigredients or take hours to be cooked. Another possibility would be I translate it for you....but that migth take days :p So if you are able to read a little German I can give you the names of some really good books, if not I can at least try to translate some of the recipies ;)

No, I can read VERY little German. .Thanks so much for offering, that is really sweet of you but I really don't think it's realistic for you. I know there are some recipes for me I just need to keep looking. ;)

when are you pcs'ing? do you know where yet??

My husband is deployed for a year so we won't be pcsing until earlier in the year of 2010. .I know, I know, It's a long time coming BUT I would rather be AHEAD of the game. . I really don't added stress, ya know.

We really don't know where jut yet but we put in for Hawaii, Oklahoma, or Utah. .Hawaii because my mother in-law is hawaiian and we would love to get to know the culture better besides I would love to live in paradise for a bit. .even though it will probably be just Hawaii after a while. ..lol. .Oklahoma because that is where his dad retired and I have family there and in Arkansas and Utah because both my husband and I are from there so we wouldn't mind being back home for a bit so our families can get to know our kids. . .guess you didn't ask all that huh. .lmao


Well I think that after reading Steve's sticky's I am not going to worry about getting breakfast in for now! I have been eating salad for lunch changing it up everyday so I don't get sick of it, for dinner I have been just making regular dinners I have just been eating less. . .except for last night when I made taco salad. .hmmmm one of my favs!! damn me forgot the tomatoes though :rant:. . .

anyway my weight is still the same. .no changes although I have lost 3% body fat? don't know how all that works though but I am guessing it probably fluctuates with my weight. I am a little stressed lately with the kids amongst other things so I am going to get on the stair master tonight for a little bit.

oh it's going to be a loooooong weekend :willy_nilly:
