Njoyable, thank you thank you for your wishes. You are so sweet. I'm back after a loong time away. Don't have to go anywhere anymore until I leave for home. Gonna really start hammering those lbs now. Lol!!

Alright folks, so I was away for a long long time. Have been sporadically checking the site, just haven't been updating. I was on conference till Monday and they really really kept of busy. Plus there was partying every night (we go crazy). I avoided as much as I can, but these are also network events, so I have to kinda stick around. I didn't drink alcohol though (so really proud of myself). But there was plenty of bad food to go around. These parties ran so late into the night that by the time I was back home last weekend it would be 3am. I hated it, but now its over.

Monday, hunnie and I kinda went away. I was on email (for work) so was checking this site, but really didn't feel like updating while I was being pampered by hunnie bunny. We both flew out today early morning. Now I am back in this really really hot city and he's far far away. We don't see each other until Aug next. But it was SOOOOOOOOO good to be away and taking the time off (although i did miserably on eating well and exercising). But I'm back now and gong really well today.

B: Scrambled eggs with a sausage and some hash browns
L: beans cooked with sesame and bulgar
S: hard candies
D: beans cooked with sasame with 1/2 chappati

Lots of water.

Going for my weigh-in tomorrow. Also doing the measurements. Although I have had no exercise in the last weeks so have prolly gained a lot. Its ok for now, I guess. Now I don't have any other reason to indulge until I leave so there...

Have to admit I am a little nervous about the weigh-in. Gonna start tomorrow with a great run and promise to have a really healthy weekend.

So I gained .2 lbs- the damage done during my time away. But I'm back and will be really really good this week. I already started. I will make this week the perfect week.

Sat:

B: two peaches
S: corn in a cob (no butter), one mango, one more peach
L: bulgar, beans, cauliflower
S: more beans and cauliflower
D: beans, zucchini and one chappati another mango
Dessert: yogurt with a small spoon of honey

Was also munching on dried mangoes. Need to really limit myself with the mango uptake.

Was thinking about going for a run, but was soooo tired from my trip that decided to sleep in today. I went a little over my calories today, but didn't eat any junk (those two mangoes kind of shot the calories up).

Going to bed early so i can run tomorrow morning.

Oh btw, I did NOTHING today. Cleaned up around the house a little bit. Packed a little bit. Watched tv and read. Very quiet Saturday. Tomorrow Im meeting a friend for brunch and then dropping at the office to finish some work, coming home and having another early night.

fantastic day food wise, but didn't get up in the morning to run as i planned. its going to be so hard to run the next time i do it (which is tomorrow morn).

Had a relaxed day that started getting up really late (around 11 am), then I had brunch (We went to a Malaysian place) and was at work finishing something. Had early dinner, and a snack, now off to bed.

Brunch: Roti with tomato and cheese (three small pieces), 1/3 cup rice with braised mushroom and pak choi, aubergines with minced meat, 1/2 cup noodles and a piece of really yummy brownie (wow, that was a lot of food).
Snack: a cup of tea
Dinner: one boiled egg, yogurt, banana
Snack: small piece of dark chocolate and a mango

Was a strange day foodwise because I ate a lot in the morning. I think i was below my calorie allowance, but will make it up tomorrow when I run.
 
A friend of mine is getting married. A VERRRRY elaborate Indian wedding. Work is also a bitch-I hardly had time to breathe today. Feels like I'm moving mountains before I wrap up. Doesn't look like it is going to be better. Was at work 7AM and its 9.15PM right now and haven't been able to get out. I did sneak out to meet a friend for an early dinner (but had to rush back 30 mins later- felt so bad I couldn't even talk to her properly). REALLY looking forward to the weekend--although the weekend is already filling up with work commitments. In July I have a friend visiting from home and then middle July my two nieces (one seven and another ten) are visiting. I will have my hands full. I am soooooo looking forward to seeing my nieces.

Food was ok today- extremely low in calories though. I just didn't have time to grab snack in between and breakfast was also quick

B: One hard boiled egg, 1/2 cup yogurt
L: Boiled bulgar with zucchini, beans and raddish
D: Few bites of thai noodles (just picked from her plate) with peanuts, few pieces of french fries and few spoonfuls of ice-cream
S: 1 big mango before bed

I must be hovering around 900 cals, which is extremely low. Need to work on it. But my appetite has been kinda weird. A few weeks ago I couldn't stop thinking about food, now I hardly have time to think and don't even feel hunger pangs. I'm worried I may be coming down with something...

I hope I will have time to catch up on everyone else's journals tomorrow. Still haven't been able to wake up early to go for runs. Tomorrow....I keep promising myself. Doesn't look like I will be home before 11pm today, have my pre-dinner snack and then off to bed.

Ate much better today, but still couldn't wake up for my run this morning. What is wrong with me??????? Somebody needs to kick me on my ass....

Food today

B: 1 hard boiled egg
S: 11 almonds
L: bulgar, cooked cauliflower, spicy chicken and pea soup
S: 4-5 pieces of french fries
S#2: yogurt with a couple of rice cakes, 2 mangoes
D: 1 Chappati, cauliflower, zucchini
Dessert- 1/3 of a cupcake

I was more hungry in the later part of the afternoon today, which is why the two snacks. Was an easier day today at work, but have brought a ton of work home that I need to go through and then to bed. I REALLY need to get up early tomorrow morning and go for a run. This is getting ridiculous.

Hey, you have got your hands full! At least you are still eating well which is more than I can say for me, but I have couple of excuses that deemed me incapable of working out. I was popping thru to check on you, and see that you are doing fine. Try to fine tune that alarm clock so you can get those runs in.

Njoyabl, still no runs. I have nooo idea what is wrong with me. I just cant seem to be able to wake up early in the morning. I wanted to get to bed early last night, but that didn't happen, which could probably be the reason why I haven't been able to wake up early. Ugh. This is getting out of hand. I have to make it out for the run tomorrow...

Food was good. Still very low in calories (below 1200 cals- i can just feel it- and fiday.com says the same)

B: Called in for an early meeting (big boss visiting from the headquarters). I thought there would be b'fast there, but was soo wrong. I was sitting at the meeting, explaining all the figures of poverty in the developing world and my stomach was growling like crazy. I ate three plums in front of me- but they were all sour and now my teeth cannot chew other things (all the enamel is gone) I bet they could hear the growling. By the time I got to the office it was 11am and I was starving!!
L: Lentils, zucchini, cauliflower, boiled bulgar and a mango

S: rice cakes, leftover zucchini- but i put soooo much chilli that my stomach was on fire.

S#2: a cup of tea and some dried mangoes

D: two small chappatis, homemade pickled mangoes (1-5 tablespoons) and more zucchini with a lot of chilli...

Interesting fact: The chilli made me feel full for a very long time. Hmm...

Somebody please come and pull me out of bed so I can go for a run tomorrow morn. I know it only takes one day to get back the groove...I really need someone to kick me in the ass.

Hi folks, a quick update before I go back to writing (frigging report).

Still no runs (but why is that a surprise anymore). I'm so disgusted with myself.

Been eating alright, but that's mostly because I have absolutely no time. Been working like a dog. Want the weekend to come soon...

THURS:

B: 1 Hard boiled egg and tofu
L (early): boiled bulgar, soy nuggets, spinach and mango
S: 1/2 BLT, small wafer
D: puffed rice cakes, more soy nuggets, 5 sour plums
Dessert: 1 hard candy and one small dark mint chocolate with mint green tea.

I am really low on the calories, I know. I hope I can up it next week. Tomorrow is weigh-in. I hope I see some kinda loss after such a low-calorie, high stress, no exercise (ugh) week.

To be fair, I have been walking a lot. Walking in this heat is no joke, though...Do it mostly in the evenings when I can take a break from work or when I get off early and can walk home.

Whoo hoo!!! congrats on the weight loss Juni!!!!! I know it sucks when you don't exercise as much as you want but if you eat well then usually get results!!! I read an article yesterday where they said Diet makes tho most difference when loosing weight ...exercise makes it possible to maintain the loss! So you did great!

Totally, Veronique. I was on low-calories food thingie this week because I had no time to eat- I was eating healthy stuff whenever I WAS eating, though. So that must've made a difference.


All my low-calorie eating went out the window today. I was at the wedding this afternoon and there was a lot of unhealthy stuff to go around...plus I had a huge breakkie. Tomorrow I'm resisting all temptations and eating right (although I have to be at the wedding all day)

B: two big toasts with PB
S: paneer curry, cauliflower, mango and some radish
L(late): more paneer (cooked differently), veggies, semolina and tapioca dessert
D: some biriyani, and gulab jamun

Another day tomorrow at the wedding, so I'm gonna be really good and make some healthy choices. I will try to wake up early and get out of the house. Sunday is my day...cleaning up around the house, having a friend over in the afternoon,then we are getting ready for my friend's wedding reception. Phew! Busy weekend.

Hi! glad the diet is going well. Maybe weddings should get a small pass? I have one to attend this weekend, too. No idea how I'm going to deal with the cocktail hour!
