A new beginning...

Hey NewLeaf! I bet it was fun growing up in a big old house, lots of rooms to hide in and play. I can't wait to hear about your bridal shower, I hope you get lots of sexy lingere. hehe Thanks for stopping by my journal and checking on me so much. You're the best! I grew up in a big house too, but I hated it! lol. When I was by myself, I swore that house talked! scared me everytime!

Anyways, your doing great hun! Cant' wait for the big money challenge to start huh? me either!
 
Hehe, yes I did love growing up in a big house :) but.. thats probably because there were PLENTY of us to fill it! I have 14 siblings.. :eek: Yeah.. its nuts :) But it was great... FH and I even joke about buying my parents home when they build their retirement house.. but :) 4000sq feet.. that's a LOT to clean..and i"m sure nto filling it with a bunch of kids! :p
 
OMG! 14 siblings! You should have sent some my way! I only had stepbrothers and stepsisters and didn't live with any of them. Then at 10, I got a half-brother and at 14, a half-sister. Didn't live with either of them. So basically, I grew up as an only child. It was nice sometimes, but also got pretty boring! :rolleyes:

Heck you can have them now!!! :) Lol.. well technically 5 of them are my biological siblings and 9 are adopted.. Woo anyhow.. :) Its def. been eventful!
 
WOW NL, a big week this week for you :D You can do it :) Glad you enjoyed your weekend. Yikes! 14 siblings! I had 3 and it was too much sometimes!!! LOL I have always liked LOOKING at big houses but, like you, I look at them and realize how much cleaning they would entail. I would much rather have a small house and keep up with everything without hiring someone :rolleyes: Hope you have a wonderful day to day :D Keep up the awesome work :D

I moved into this huge house last year with my mom .. it was way over 2500sq. feet plus a massive backyard and it was beautiful. So lovely.
Weelllll - we moved out by the end of the year because we kept losing eachother in it! Haha... so now we're cozied up in a small apartment downtown and I couldn't be happier! it's less than 1/4 of the size of the house, that's funny.

14 siblings! Its a good thing your house was that big! Ours is 2000 sq. ft., and I can barely keep it all clean. Any bigger, and I'd definitely need cleaning help. I was only child as well, but I never remember being bored, but I was introvert anyway.
 
I know how you guys feel about cleaning house etc. 1600sq. feet is plenty for me to clean, plus that includes 3 bathrooms and 1 half bath.. thats FOUR toliets to scrub! :eek: Oh well I get in more exercise that way, right? :)
Oh the joys of home ownership!! :)

So a little news on my part.. over the weekend I put in one resume for a job, just kind of randomly, an offc.mgr position again, and they called Monday to schedule an interview for Wednesday! So I was pretty surprised that they responded. Of course I wasnt' home when they called so I'm waiting to get in touch with them again this morning. Its a slight pay cut.. but the job my be much better and actually keep me busy.. so we'll see!! Kinda nervous. Ok really nervous..and now I need to go find a suit of some sort to wear to the interview (my current job is "casual" attire.. so jeans a lot of the time!) This will be a change. :)
 
Exercise: 30 minutes ellipitical, 20 minutes lower body weights, I think my hip is paying for it.. :( Better slow it down I guess!
Water: 52oz
Breakfast: low-fat yogurt 100 calories, & non-fat cinn.dolce latte 240 calories, 340 calories
Lunch:grilled chicken salad 300 calories
Subtotal: 640 calories
Dinner:chicken n' herb crock pot meal 340 calories
Dessert: homemade scone 250 calories
Total Calories: 1230

Congratulations! Before you jump into the interview - find yourself a mirror and make the funniest, weirdest, most distorted face you can! Hahaha.. I love doing that to relax me - I end up bursting out laughing all by myself in a public washroom or something...

Too funny! I would love to have a sister to talk to all the time. Send me one of those and you can keep the rest! Lol! I really want to adopt a kid. Maybe because I really want another, but can't have anymore. (Well, I could, but hubby can't. :rolleyes: ) Oh well, maybe one of these days.

Thanks you guys!! I am so nervous.. lol and I haven't even gotten anything officially scheduled yet! Its been two years since I've had to do the whole interview thing! :eek: Hope it goes well!

OK.. my one vent for the day.. uhm my sweet FH, who I asked to grab the lunch bags on the way out of the door this morning.. only grabbed HIS lunch!!! SO I was left w/ no breakfast or lunch for today. That's ok.. didn't need the 250 calorie scone I packed on top of my latte!! So I had yogurt instead. But.. I dont' think he even realized it.. :) So lunch is now up for debate! :) Salad anyone.. ?
 
ah, leave it to men! Also, most men will get you gifts that benifit themselves, lol. My foster dad loved fresh baked bread, so for my foster mom's birthday, he gave her a bread maker!! How thoughtful huh?

I think you should adopt! Anybody that adopts a child is a blessing to me - I gave my baby up for adoption last July... and I'm adopted myself!
My friend brought home her new baby this month and the dog hasn't paid attention to any of them in the house since... he's jeleous! Haha - anyways - just wanted to say that.. HAPPY TUESDAY! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
