Hey girl, that sucks about the shoulder! :( Tell Sid he has to give you lots of back rubs... I use that one for everything cuz I LOVE BACK RUBS! It could be my pinky toe that hurts but, "Gee a nice back rub might make it feel better.":D
But seriously, take it easy on that shoulder til it feels better... just keep up the cardio and you'll be fine (and stay away from the cocoa puffs... or maybe you should just eat the whole damn box and get it over with! ;) ).

Funny you should mention back rubs! I asked for one after I hurt my shoulder and Sid says "I think that could make it worse!" :eek: LOL!! Oh any excuse to get out of pampering my butt! Alas! I'm still marrying the boy! ha ha!

And as for the cocoa puffs.. uhm.. they ARE gone. lol!!! :p ButI did eat them in small increments I swear!! :D

Exercise: 1.5. mile walk with my dogs at 10am
Snack: Special K Bar, 90 calories
Exercise: 2 mile walk with dogs AGAIN (they were SO wound up today!)
Exercise: 30 minutes lower body weights & 3 minutes on bike
Dinner: Frozen pizza, :( 450 calories
Dessert: pkg of m&m's, 280 calories(?)
Total Calories: 1510 appro.



Good morning to all and happy Sunday!! So last night I was a bit of a piggers with my dessert, or so it felt! Today I hope to be better, but being that TOM, I am CRAVING chocolate LIKE MAD!! :D Hopefully I can keep myself in check! Wish me luck..

And by the way, thanks for all the thoughtful words about the shoulder strain! It IS a bit better this morning, after many advil pills, tylenol PM, and a heating pad.. I'm getting there! I feel much more mobile!

glad you are feeling better. You just HAD to put pancakes on your list today! About a yr ago, I started eating a good breakfast. I used to do the eggs bacon hashbrowns and toast. Sometimes pancakes too. :(:( Waffles are even better. I better slap myself, because I know I can have that again, just as a treat out once in a while and not every morning. Maple syrup is a real downfall for me.

I used to go to 'bubbas". Bubba is a big ol guy who know how to cook in a restaurant. But that is why hes a big ol guy! Best breakfast in central Tex. Oh well, Id rather be thin. Still, Im putting him and his breakfast on my 'gonna have it this summer" list.

Kate, you'll survive girl!! :) Besides, some "low fat" pancake mix, and measure out your "light syrup" and you can have it! At least thats what I did! :)

I have to confess, breakfast is my absolute favorite meal. I could eat breakfast foods any meal, any time of the day! :) And by doing things that are "short cutting" the calories, you'd be great.:) Like having a low-fat biscuit made, a slice of low-fat cheese & two slices of bacon, made into a little sandwich, and YUM!!! :)

Really... I firmly believe we can eat almost anything as long as its in moderation! :D Well.. most people. I do have a teeny downfall with ice cream, so.. FH hardly lets me have it in the house, because I could sit and eat a whole pint by myself!! ACK! :)

LOL. I hear you. I was losing weight by eating too many of those low carb jelly beans. I love those! I'd eat a whole bag and then hear the scariest noises come out of my belly. Once I left a bag at a friends house and her husband ate them all in one sitting. Boy did he get a surprise. haha

LOL!! :D That is absolutely hilarous!! :) Probably not for her husband, but ooh its funny!! :) This all reminds me of a new sugar-free gum I think its juicy fruit something along those lines, and its got this sugar substitute in it, and just chewing the gum makes my stomach hurt! How nuts is that!! :) I figure it can't be all that great for you! :)

Lunch:1 slice of left over frozen pizza 250 Calories

Afternoon Snack: 2 cups of light popcorn 50 calories
Exercise:20 minute walk with my dogs, 12 minutes run on the treadmill, 35 minutes on the bike, 20 minutes of upper body weight lifting, 87 minutes total exercise
Dinner:teriyaki marinated hamburger (no bun!) & steamed veggies 350 calories
Dessert:popcorn 50 calories
Total Calories: 1200 calories

Well guys, its back to Monday. I'm done with my horrible weekend splurges, which weren't ALL that bad, but still not under control like my usual 1200 calorie limit. I'm also very frustrated because my family is also doing a weight-loss challenge for my wedding coming up in June. My sister just emailed me and said she's down 12lbs in 3 weeks!!! Granted she has more to lose than me, but its SO frustrating. Guess I need to bump up the cardio a bit more. Wish me luck!!

Newest Compliment: My FH said my legs are looking skinny!!!!

Alright. I'm angry. I feel like I have been very diligent in limiting my calorie intake, my exercise etc, and I am not seeing the changes as I'd hope. I feel like many other posters are having such great success and I'm getting very frustrated. So I'm angry.

My story for the week is this. My mother is a woman roughly 4 inches taller than me, very slim, and petite. This was not always the case. In high school she was much heavier, pear shaped as some might say. Well she had her appendix removed and had lost a total of 15lbs which she was very excited about. She in turned ask her own mother, if she thought she could keep it off. She responded that Honestly, no she didn't. This caused my mother to be angry. She was ticked off and going to PROVE that she could keep that weight off and lose more. And she did. Even to this day, she keeps an eye on her weight and keeps it in check. She told me this story, to let me know that, it wasn't until she got angry, that she really took control of her eating habits and other behaviors in order to lose weight.

Well.. like Paula has said her journal. I'm angry. I am even more determined to continue on this path and improve my weighs! Look for me to post some good results soon!! :D

If that is the special secret to loose weight, WE ARE ALL ANGRY, I AM ANGRY!!!! I really am. After not loosing a single pound last week!!! After hearing my husband saying that if I am following a diet I should be skinny by March!!! He think is that easy. That makes me very angry. So lets turn the rage into energy to throw the pounds away. ;)

Hey like you said we're all angry, but like my fiance' reminded me this weekend just because we can't see the results doesn't mean other people can't. Hang in there and use that anger to work your butt off, I'm right there with you ;)
 
Thanks girls!! :) Yep I plan on taking my anger out on the weights tonight and the treadmill at the gym!! :)

Tip #1: Audiobooks on my ipod, make the time fly and now I'm going to catch up on all the "classics" I never did read! I'm in the middle of Great Expectations right now! :)

Like my ol grandpa used to tell me at the dinner table , rest his soul, "Girl, why is it that every time you bend that elbow, your mouth flies open?!" I dunno grandpa. I was six, and stumped. hehe.


No more scary pictures. No more embarrassing situations. No more worrying about reunions and parties. No more wondering what someone thought about my weight gain when the last time so and so saw me, I was "much more slender'. PTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT! My H's elderly aunt asked me one Christmas how much weight I had gained in front of EVERYBODY, because I sure was looking big. Gee thanks Aunt. But sometimes you need to hear it for it to sink in. I loved her, rest her soul too, but wow, how blunt!

yeah, Im mad. but Im gettin glad more and more every day. dangit.
 
Anger is a great way to get inspired, and what a great way to turn it into a positive! Your doing great, and awesome that your FH is noticing the changes in you! What a great feeling. Keep it up! Hope you had a great weekend.

Ha! You go girl! Get angry! I'm serious... I'm on a mission! And I agree with Angela, remember those pics I sent you a couple weeks ago when I was discouraged? Remember how much my face had changed but I couldn't see it til you pointed it out? I'm sure there are changes happening. Stay positive (and angry if that helps)! :D
