A new beginning...

Sorry to hear things are not so great right now. I know that when things at work are not going very well, it seeps into every other part of our life.

I am not sure what kind of Master's you are considering persuing, but have you looked into online classes? I know people around me that are getting degrees through distance learning classes. Its nice because you can work on the classes when you want to and the time you have to spend on campus is very little.

Hope things improve for you soon. Hang in there! :)

Thanks Fluff. :) I'm not sure if I'll hop to a Masters, and even what to venture into if I did. What I do for work now, certainly isn't a career, (very administrative). So I'm trying to find some direction. I've recently played a game a friend called "glamour game" by flipping through our university course offering and marking off all the courses that interest me and I want to learn. A lot of them point to things a few different fields. Like, nutrition or teaching art. So.. who knows. :) but.. I am looking forward to try and figure something out. So far I can't seem to find any distance programs for nutrition, which really does peak my interest. (plus couldnt' hurt my own health!) So. we'll see. :D Thanks for the supportive comments and ideas! :)

Hey!

Yeah I have those good vs. bad days on workouts myself. Sux, dont it? I guess we all do. Those bad days always make me SO angry! I can be mosy-ing along and just say ptttt to it, and wont give it my all. THEN comes those great days where you KNOW you did well! I sure hope with warmer weather coming soon and all the other factors, that those good days are far more frequent.

Lately I've had a hard time motivating myself to get through my walks. Drinking more water has seemed to help. How's your water?

I went up to FH last night and said "I need a hug!" He kind of looked at me funny, gave me a hug. And I said, "I'm hugging you, I'm not eating."

This is adorable and a great idea!!!

I've been drinking a lot actually. I always hit the gym with my gianormous water pink (breast cancer donation) bottle ! I just.. I don't know, feel so tired today. I think work is really on my mind and tha tmight be the main problem. I'll try getting more water in too, because it certainly can't hurt !! :D Thank you for the idea!

 Thanks. I am such an emotional eater. When I've had a bad day at work, I'd come home and find chips, ice cream, even just chocolate chips, whatever. In pure desperation I'd even go to teh store to BUY something to eat. Y'know what.. that never made me feel any better, but a hug from him sure helped!

Hm, I should keep the hug idea in mind whenever I need a stress-reducer!

As for the blah-ish exercise, I can completely relate when work just gets you so down mentally that you don't have the energy to exercise. I think taking a personal 'mental health' day is a great idea. I find that just calling into life sick every now and again and spending the entire day in my pj's and watching tv recharges my brain-batteries back to full by the next day :D

I hope you feel better soon!

Beagle..that's about exactly what I'll be doing tomorrow!! Hanging in my pj's. :) Finishing some laundry.. and taking my dogs to the dog-park. They're going to hang out with mommy all day! :D They need it!!

I would have trouble doing equipment myself. I need classes so I can talk and compete and laugh and get pushed my the momentum of the room. I can run on the treadmill if I have good tunes going. Do you have an ipod or something?

Hey - I posted the recipe for turkey meatballs on my diary. Let me know if you try and like them!

Ooh gota print out those meatballs from your diary! YAY! :)

I do have an ipod (thanks to my FH) and find that very helpful. The best part is using it with audio books!! :) I have to keep working out to keep hearing the story!

Hey hun! Just wanted to say hello!! I hope we dont get alot of snow this weekend dont you!! Well I probley will not be on tomorrow .. so I hope you have fun tomorrow taking your babies to the dog-park and have a great weekend!!

Thanks girl..actually I'd like to see a LITTLE snow if its going to be so dang cold!! :) They're saying 3-6inches here.. OMG the whole state would shut down. lol!!! If only people knew how to drive here!!

I soo miss the snow. We get it generally once every year or two. Usually ice tho. Today is a cold rain. My H is from N Dakota, and he couldnt care less.

Hope today is a great day!

Kate, ehe. you would think being from Michigan, (a true winter wonderland like ND also!) that I wouldn't care. But I miss it a little bit. No white Christmas etc. :) Oh well.. usually we get freezing rain mostly..yuck
