A new approach to weight loss

This is my first time ever blogging let alone writing anything on the internet, besides facebook... But I feel like i am running out of options and thought i would give this a shot. So here it goes. I have copy a little questionnaire and thought it would be a good first step finding out where to start.

How much weight do you want to lose?
I would like to lose 30-40 lbs

-- What is the timeframe for reaching your target weight?
well if i could lose the weight by july that would be amazing, but to put keep the pressure off lets just give my self as long as it takes.

-- How do you want to accomplish your goal (what methods do you want to use)?
Dieting and cardio and boxing tybo work outs.

-- Who or what can support you in reaching your goal?
My family. This forum and writing down what I eat.

-- How realistic is your goal?

I played competitive soccer my whole life until i was 17 i use to run 5 miles a day not counting games. I had practiced 5 times a week and i lived and breathed it. Now i can barley run up the stairs with out being out of breath.. I no i can do this because no what it takes. I just need to find the drive and discipline.


-- When will you start?

Today is the first day of the rest of my life.

Why do you want to lose weight?
omg where to I start..I want to stop feeling sick all the time i want to look good in a dress , a bikini i want to get married and not have to worrie about looking bad in my wedding dress i want to be able to have kids and not have to worrie about becoming even more over weight because i have not aquired the skills needed to live a healthy life. Most importantly i want to be healthy.

Do you want to lose weight for a specific life event such as wedding or reunion? If so, when is that event?
--No. This is for a lifestyle change.

What obstacles could get between you and your weight loss goals?
iI am lazy and I have a problem sticking to things.

Why do you think that you now have a weight problem?
I suffer from anxiety that has started since i gained the weight, im 22 and have high cholesterol, I can feel how unhealthy i am.

Have you lost weight in the past? If so, what has worked in the past to help you lose weight? I lost 10 lbs last summer throught diet and excersice.. but gained it all back

Why do you believe that you did not lose weight or you gained the weight back? Because once i lose a bit of weight i no i can do it so i go back to my ways and no that il do it again if i want


What, if anything, has not worked for you in the past in helping you to lose weight? Why do you think it did not work?

Would you try writing down all food and drink consumed for a given period of time?
yes i do already through weight watchers


Do you cook at home often? If so, what do you cook?
chicken, potatoes, rice, pastas

How often do you go out to eat? Where do you go?
at least once a week, mcdonalds is my fav

What are your three favorite foods?
cheese burgers. french fries. chips and dip

What are your three favorite restaurants?
mcdonalds, moxies, pizza

What are three things you can do differently when it comes to food?
no fast food, keep it high in protien, stay away from nasty carbs and fats

If you woke up tomorrow and your body was exactly the way you want it, what would be different?
--I would be healthier and skinny

Do you eat when you are not hungry?
--Yes.
Do you binge eat (large amounts at a time)?
--Yes.
Do you hide your food or eat in secret?
--No

day one

wow thanks for the warm welcome! I can tell this is going to be a very supportive place to be a part of!

So last night my boyfriend brought home a DQ ice cream cake with `` i love you`` written on it.. i mean the gesture was so nice and so cute, so i had a small piece and made him take the rest to the office this morning lol I had to kindly remind him that IM TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT HERE! Ah men gotta love them.
Alright so day 1. Today is my day off so I slept in till like 10 15.. it was pretty much amazing. I just finished breakfast and i had:

2 slices of ww bread toasted ( 1 point for 2 pieces)
1 LF yogurt (1 point)
1 tsp of peanut butter (1 point)
4 point breakfast

Now i think im going to go do my 20 min turbo jam dvd!
 
day 1

i just has lunch
1 cup of spinach salad with raw veggies and 1 tbsp of greek dressing ( 1point)
1 english muffin pizza with mushrooms , onion and swiss cheese ( 4 points)
1 oz of smoked salon ( 2 points)
7 point lunch still have 12 points left for afternoon snack and supper

omg i just did my first turbo jam work out since the summer and i struggled! I am so out of shape its sad, but it just makes me want to work out more and get back in the game. So starting tomorrow morning im doing turbo jam in the AM and treadmill in the PM.
This means waking up at 5:45.. wish me luck!
 
Gotta love those "nice" gestures. It's been long enough for me, my husband knows better.

yay i did my 20 min of turbo jam and my 20 min of cardio intervals! Im so proud of my self!

I had a good day of eating!

Bfast
1/2 C of kashi cereal (2 pts)
1/2 cup skim milk( 2 pts)
1/2 cup strawberrys(1 pts)

snack
100 calorie fiber 1 bar (1 pt0
1/2 c strawberry (1 point)

lunch
turkey sandwich(4 PTS)
pickles
juice box (1 PT)

snack

2 oz smoked salmon (2 Pt)
1T light cream cheese (1 pt)
1/2 c cucumber


dinner
1 ww tortilla (1 pts)
2 oz cheese(3 pts)
3 o chicken( 3 pts)
5 perogies :ack2: ( 6 pts)

28 points.. 5 points over today but i do get activity points for my 40 min of exercise..I am proud of myself today cause i had a bit of a rough day and with on of my family member being in the hospital dying of cancer .. after visiting him, my bf and i just wanted to stop and get McDonalds but I was strong and we came home made dinner and worked out! yay plus i feel like a billion times better now
 
week 2 day 1

I had a good week last week, i ate so well and worked out everyday for 40 min. Unfortunately on Friday my boyfriends uncle lost his battle with cancer. So that's when my diet took a turn for the worst. Friday night dinner was fried chicken with french fries and chips, eugh it was just not a good weekend. I did manage to lose 1 lb after all that. So I guess i should take that. Today however I am back on the wagon!
