Cabbage soup doesn't sound too bad. Of course if that is all you are supposed to eat it might not be that great. I'm with ya on the steak. I won't eat fish and lately chicken has been tasting funny. I guess it's my midwestern upbringing. Give me a steak anytime and I am happy. Pork not so much. As Ron White says: I didn't climb to the top of the food chain to eat carrots.

You are doing great. I just wanted to stop by and say hello and keep up the good work.

Yea for every meal it would get old quick. I'm mixing it with normal foods just to cut back calories. With soup for two meals I could pretty much have what ever I want for a meal(well, within reason lol.) I think the cabbage diet started off as a fad diet but it seems to be a healthy addition to my weight loss. I get my veggies every day so I just have to work in some dairy and meat and the occational grain.

Now the steak; I see a nice 2-3" porterhouse in my near future lol. :cheers2:
 
Interesting idea using the soup in moderation. I'll have to see how it goes before I'd ever commit to doing that kind of thing.

My appetite seems to stay in high gear and The soups tend to keep me from feeling starved. As many veggies as I'm eating, I'm thinking of planting a garden lol. When the cardiologist told me to lose at least 50 pounds quick I figured this was the best and safest way. I don't think I could do it long term but as a kick start It's fine. Cabbage soup as every meal........ ain't gonna happen...I'm too much of a foodie lol.
 
We today has been a good day other than sleeping off and on all day. It has me wondering if antibiotics make you sleepy??? Any way I have only had breakfast so far. Between running from the doctor to the optometrist and groceries, I just ran out of time. I'm planning dinner but so far just in the planning stages lol. I am having a donut craving out of this world. Thinking three chocolate filled donuts with a glass of milk would take the place of........................ well maybe not lol. I still haven't had any cokes or even diet cokes. So all and all everything is still going well.

so far that is 1 hell of a start and a BIG motivation booster to.
My mom was just complaining today on how her antibiotics are tearing her
stomach up and she has been taking a heck of alot of naps so I am thinking yes.Stick to your plan it is working for ya and not feeling starved,you can't

Feeling off so just not hungry.


Breakfast- 2 scrambled eggs, provolone cheese, and a chunk of sausage wrapped in a whole wheat wrap.

Lunch- sleep

Dinner- Bowl of spaghetti with meat sauce. (I'll leave out the details but I didn't keep it in.)

Snack- banana, peanut butter and raisins wrapped in a whole wheat wrap.

Snack- soup

(update)Snack- piece of grilled catfish with about a cup of rice a roni.

Drinks- water, milk, grapefruit juice

Ok I couldn't wait..... I went in and weighed tonight. Now down to 375 so thats 4 more pounds so a total of 11. I'm expecting good news when I do my weigh in on Friday Saturday or sunday.......... I may choose Saturday morning because I normally go get something to eat on Saturday nights. So thats a yes the diet is working and I'll be glad when this first 50 pounds is gone because I still want those damn chocolate donuts lol....

yea it's really coming off. I hope it continues for awhile. My doctor seems happy with it all. I have always heard not to lose weight very fast but I guess with the chest issues and all it's ok. I'm sure it will level off soon but I hope it decides to wait until I get into the lower 300's.

yea we all have our own demons that caused us to be overweight. some are emotional eaters and some just eat the wrong foods. Me, I'm a sugar junkie. Some people get that crazy feeling when they eat chocolate and with me it's just sugar in general. So this diet has been working for me because I'm getting carbohydrates out of the cabbage and the occasional bit of pasta. The longer I can stay away from the super dooper corn syrups the better I will be. I am even staying away from the low calorie sweeteners like splenda and nutrasweet etc... just because I'm trying away from anything sweet. The only sugar I'm using is honey and thats natural so I don't mind so bad.
 
Well today is going well. I went back to the doctor and my good cholesterol is still bad. He didn't tell me the number on that but my bad cholesterol is at 197 so he happy with that one. I went to the bank to finalize my boat loan and I never signed my name so many times wow lol.

Menu

Breakfast: Soup

Lunch: Soup

Dinner: 2 chicken salad sandwiches on wheat with some French fries.(made it for the kids and I caved.)

Snack: Soup

Snack: oatmeal and raisins sweetened with raw honey.

Drinks: water, tea, 2% milk

yea the soup ain't bad. Since I haven't been drinking sodas or having sugar other than honey, everything taste kinda sweet. It's odd cabbage taste sweet but it does. My weigh in day was Sunday but since I normally go out to eat on Saturdays I think I'll change it to Saturday mornings. I got on the scale last night for a peek and I was down 4 more pounds for a total of 11 pounds between last week and yesterday. I'm expecting good numbers Saturday. It may just be a lot of water weight but I don't care it's nice of it to come off.
 
Wow, your menu actually sounds tasty! Sounds like your doing great so far!

Thank you. yea the cabbage soup I don't mind and as far as the other food, it's just a matter of trying to eat the right things. Running exercising; no advice, if I tried to run I'd blow out my knees and I'm not finished with them yet lol.
