oh yea it's going fine. I have been getting my mind of it by talking on the computer, talking on the phone, working on some computer projects. Outside activities are out for a few days. East Texas seems to be under a monsoon lol. I do have the sweet bug going on so I'm gonna put some splenda and vanilla and milk in the magic bullet thingie and make a low calorie whipped topping. I'll exchange that for the cereal I was gonna have because that just sounds better and it's fewer calories. I can say one thing about the green tea is it keeps you running. I can say for a fact the three pounds was water weight lol. I have to go out to eat tomorrow but it's really too soon. I think they are thinking about sushi for lunch and Chinese buffet for dinner. Sushi I think is relatively good for you. Chinese buffet not crazy bad as long as I stay away from all the fried and sweet yummies. I think I'm gonna back out of the Chinese but the sushi well thats gonna happen lol. I think a salad at applebee's would go much better for dinner. I think they even have a low calorie section to the menu.

Thats really not bad. There is one special there I want to try. It's basically 13 pieces of the chefs choice. I don't think I will get it because all those 37 calories pieces will add up lol. Some will probably be less. At this restaurant with rice or without its considered sushi. I think just the raw fish is actually sashimi but hey its all good with a little soy and wasabi lol.The only problem I have there is I always hurt myself with the wasabi lol. I think the calories go up for something like the California or Philadelphia roll but I tend to stay with the tuna, Salmon, and eel.

I just dont think that I could eat raw fish!!!!!!! Yuck.... But I think that they make a vegatable sushi roll... Have fun eating out today!

Thanks!

Just wanted to say a big Thank You for coming over to my diary and cheering me on! It's been a discouraging week for me and it really helps to know that other people out there care and understand! I appreciate it!

Don't know the date on that sushi excursion but... YUCK!!!! LOL :) I would never eat that stuff! As for the chinese buffet... I agree. I had the opportunity to go out for chinese buffet also but it was only 3 days after I had started my lifestyle change. My husband and I had had the day planned for Christmas shopping and going out to eat at this Chinese place with this huge buffet for at least 1 month ahead of time, but I passed on it! I decided we should stick with Applebees instead because, yes, they have a great WW menu that has all the calories and fat written out for you to see! I had 2 items off of that menu which would've probably been like 1/2 an item that I would've had at the chinese buffet! LOL So, Applebees is a great choice!

I see in your earlier post that you have a magic bullet mixer!? My husband has been going on and on about those ever since he saw their infomercial! Do they work?? How do you like it? I will have to get it for him, I guess, depending on what your response is! He's right, we probably would use it alot, provided it's as good as they say it is! Let me know!!!

Again, thanks for checking in on me over at my diary! It's a big help!

Julie we all have moments that we just want to say stuff it all. The thing is that when you do your gonna have to start your diet all over again;and you will. Then we end up losing the same weight over and over. I have a rather large family here and they have regular food and I eat healthy food; other than an occasional steak since I am a texakin lol.

Sushi if it is fresh doesn't taste like fish at all. It's hard to explain but there is normally a itty bitty piece of fish inside and the rice is mixed with a sweetened rice wine vinegar. Then they have the California roll that doesn't have raw fish at all its the artificial crab meat stuff and it has a really good taste.

The magic bullet thing works pretty well just you have to use itty bitty batches. If you try to make something like chicken salad with it the meat at the bottom turns to a paste long before the meat at the top gets chopped. So for big family dinners we use the big food processor. It makes good one portion meals. It does smoothies real well. For something sweet I take some 2 percent milk and some splenda and vanilla maybe some nutmeg and Cinnamon and its taste like an eggnog or maybe a milkshake thats melted lol. If you use a heavy cream sweetened it makes like a whip topping. I'm still learning with it. It's like everything else and doesn't work quite as well as you see on tv lol. I haven't tried the juicer or blender but I don't see why it wont work. Even if you buy it for just the smoothies I would be worth it.

No not gonna be Chinese tonight. If I have to go out it wont be Chinese.

sushi - not so bad?

Ok you may have changed my mind about at least trying sushi some time. My husband and one of my good friends have both been bugging me about trying it some time and I always thought it would be rather fishy (not a big fish fan but love seafood) so I never wanted to try it. The way you describe it though, it doesn't sound half bad! Maybe it's worth a try! We will see!

Thanks for the info on the magic bullet! I will relay that to my hubby. Maybe he will then reconsider! He thinks it would be wonderful for us. We have the two of us and 2 daughters so I can't imagine it would be very useful. Probably just as useful as our regular blender and the food processor we already have! LOL He also wants one of those pasta things where you put the pasta in the plastic container and pour in boiling water and it supposedly makes perfect pasta every time! BULL!!! LOL I say, why boil the water in the pan and then pour it into something else to make the pasta, why not just make it in the pan??? LOL I don't know!

Anyway, thanks for the info and the support! You're doing great!!! Congrats on all the weight loss so far!

Heya's Hilly,
Wow you were up LATE......LOL I hope you got your 8
hours of sleep atleast,Lol I did and once again slept through breakfast!
Your doing great and with all the New Years Eve parties approaching
start planning now.I am taking a sheet load of variety healthy foods
of all nature for snacking that night because when we have card parties
there are so much BAD foods everyone brings and not only that we usually
play until 4AM so thats aalot of awake tummy growling hours to fight!!
I know you'll make it through and so will I heres to "2007":D
Have a Happy New Year Tammy:)

lol about the magic bullet. I hate gimmicky things that make you went to buy them. and those infomercials are just so annoyingly good :/

I usually buy chicken sushi :D
I know its not fish, but im not much of a fish fanatic

Hello all..... yea I was up so late it was early. I decided to watch some movies to wind down abit and the sun was coming up about the time I fell a sleep. I woke up about 9:30 and been running around ever since lol.

Yea the sushi is cut fairly thin and if it's fresh there is no fish taste hardly at all. If you're a Little squeamish I'd go for a California or Philadelphia roll or some of the smoked varieties. Just remember the green paste they give you ain't avocado and it is so hot it will blow the back of your head off wow......

The magic bullet was a gift so it's just not practical when it comes to feeding a family of 5. I am using it for sugar free sweets and small things I want to portion control. If I want a real Ice cream shake during a week moment I'll make it in that so that I'm stuck with the 8 ounce or so rather than the bucket without the handle you get at the fast food stops.

I'm not planning on doing much partying for the new year. We are going to drive farther into the country to moms house and do the cabbage and black eyed peas and some sort of sweet goodie will be there. If I drink I will wait till I get back close to my house and stop and get me a pint of Cognac or jack and that will about cover it. I'll let everyone else celebrate national hangover day lol......

Breakfast: 0

Lunch: sushi, miso soup, 2 crab puffs, a green salad.

Dinner: Applebee's something or other. Maybe a salad or something like baked chicken. It just depends on what they have.

Snack: 1/2 a banana with 2% milk and some splenda for a melted shake kinda thing...........

Calories ummmm about a billion and five........lol

I should still be in my range below 2500 calories give or take.
