a Hillbilly diary

Well I think not sleeping much caught up to me. I fell asleap and ummm it's 8:49 pm and I need to eat lunch or would it be breakfast again?
I combined the both :D

It was great, left me with tons of cal for dinner which ended up getting shouted a free!
 
Well I managed to make it to the store late last night. I saved some money by not buying the reduced fat, reduced calorie stuff. Why do those things always cost more? I got some regular people food instead and I will watch my portions. I just picked up some meats like turkey, chicken, fish and things like that. Well tonights is dinner at mom's and the calories will be way up there so im going lite on breakfast and lunch.

Breakfast: kashi and 2% milk
(330 calories)

Lunch:2 pears
(192 calories)

Dinner: ?

snack: ?

Total 522 + Dinner and a snack; should be ok for the day

yea it should be ok. I just hate those days when you have to guess at your calories. Being so large I have a pretty good cushion calorie wise. After today I need to find some way of exercising but it is still muddy as crud outside.
 
Man, I'd kill for mud. We haven't had any real rain here in... ....months? Almost a year? I went from dry Lubbock to even drier Las Vegas. Oh well.

You can come help me clean the turtle tanks. That's lots of exercise.
 
Hey HB! Our mom's always make high cal food. Why do you think we are heavy? They never taught us to eat good. I'm working on teaching my kids and hoping they never have my problem!:)
 
LOL 2 turtle tanks (6 turtles total), 2 gecko tanks (3 lizards), 1 betta bowl, 2 dogs, and a husband. And 2 boys during the summer. And that is the zoo I live in.

Hey all..... Well it was a huge dinner so not sure about the calorie thing but it's the last day I stray unless I just have a week moment lol. Tammy I'm one constant carb attack lol... It was fried cabbage, black-eyed peas, cornbread, mac and cheese, pasta salad, potato salad and one slice of pecan raisin pie. I think I probably hit 300 calories easy; well maybe a little more lol.
I go back to school tomorrow and for some reason the diet is always easier. I have to get up early anyhow so breakfast is a must because I'm already awake. There isn't any lunch until I get home about 3 pm. Then dinner and a couple of snacks. For some reason it just gets easier if I stay busy out of the house.......

Aint that the truth. My mother is overweight and i think i have a fair idea how. Im trying to instill stuff now to my kids saying "you can have EITHER the milo or the bikkie but not both!" etc.

They are learning, in fact my youngest actually turned down chocolate this morning which shocked me :D
 
My dad was one that brought me a candy bar, a coke and a bag of chips home every day when he came home from work. He is one that stays skinny no mater what he eats. It's not the reason I got big but I think it's got something to do with my carb attacks lol....
