a Hillbilly diary

The hard part is going to be passing up the super thick shake. Alas even I know my limitations. Think I'll opt for some tea with splenda instead lol.

Now I want to go to sonic! I love their shakes too! It's really an evil place if you think about it! They do make the best drinks though!

I know what you mean. I like their salads but it's really hard to resist a big cheeseburger when my husband is chowing down!!

Hey Randy, at least you passed up the shake and didn't go way off the calorie bandwagon either--drink lots and lots of water to flush out your system.

yea thats more salt than I normally take in in three days. With my blood pressure I really didn't need it but hey you need a release once in awhile

well everything is going ok today. Though I did apply for a driving job and i was going to get it till my blood pressure was tested. It seems when I think I'm moving forward a wall jumps up right in front of me. It was 180/140, no wonder I have been feeling kinda light headed. I guess I'll get to a doctor in the next week or two. But anyhow as far as the diet goes every thing is ok.

on a positive note I weighed today and I'm down another four pounds. Thats 8 pounds in the span of four days. One part of me says thats alot to lose in the span of a week. The other part of me says who cares its 8 pounds off and I broke the 350 mark. I'm now at a very trim(for me anyhow) 349. I hope that soon ill be closer to the 299 mark. The only draw back is the more I lose the smaller my BMR becomes and the more I have to be cautious with my intake. I haven't done the calculation yet but my BMR should still be in the low 3000's. Anyway I think I'll write this up as good news because

I broke 350... yayyyy

awesome... that's fantastic!! way to go you... but please oh please.. we want to keep randy lee healthy...

my suggested calories on spark, for thefirst time dropped below 2000.. i'm not sure if that was good or bad :D

I'm sure it's just the calories i have burned pushing that lawn mower around for three to four hours. That has to be close to an aerobic exercise.

Push mowing is a great workout

While I only have about 3/4 an acre, a good bit of that is steep hillsides.

When I started mowing back in the spring at 330ish, I thought I was gonna DIE, I had to take a break every 2 or 3 passes

Now I can keep going until the gas runs out, although I'll take a water break or two if it's hot.

Probably have to step up the walking to replace the workout when mowing
season's done.

Good luck with the BP thing, as a CDL holder I can relate

well I checked on the BMR and it hasn't changed much. For someone sedentary or no exercise it's at 3523 But for someone that gets 1-3 days of light exercise in, which is what i have been doing it's at 4037 which means I have probably been getting my calories way to low and that probably explains the stall that I went through the last couple of weeks.

well today I got my truck back from the shop and low and behold they didn't fix what they were supposed to. I'm starting to think mechanics should be in the same file as lawyers. There are some good ones out there but they are few and far between lol.

Congrats, Lee!!! Not get on over to the FSD and report it so I'm not the only one in there today with my measly one lb loss. :)

yea it was a huge shock to me as well. It's a nice change. The only bad thing about buying some clothes for my trip is they will soon out grow me.

Breakfast: It just wasn't in the cards.

Lunch: 1 corn dog. {Honestly it was only half; my son decided he needed it more than I.
(290 calories)

Dinner: It’s going to be a salad someplace. Even a big hillbilly salad shouldn't be over 500 calories.
(500 calories)

Snack: 2 eggs. 2 slices of turkey bacon, 2 slices of wheat. {140+70+140}
(350 calories)

Drinks: water

BMR is 4037(moved up into the lightly active BMR stage)
Total today is: 1140
Oops that’s way low. I’ll grab a drink or some such from starbucks to give me a calorie boost. I guess empty calories are better than no calories at all.

Horray on the recent 4 lb loss!!! I'll chime in with everyone else about being careful too... which I'm sure you are.

Great job!

Susan
