OK...now I just have to say you took all the fun out of my drinking there wishes!

The problem with drinking is I like to SNACK while I drink.
A little cheese, a little crackers...

well I'm not having any just yet. Ill save it for my 70 Pound loss party. Its just one of those things Id like to have but not just yet. My doctor told me if I drink she would rather me drink whiskey instead of beer, so we shall see.....
 
Thanks m.... right now its pretty easy. I'm worried when i turn into that 220 little guy and only having 2000 calories......wait I'm doing that now......Sweet
 
LOL! I just did the math on that again today - when I'm down to my goal weight, I should be able to eat more then I've been averaging now. Isn't that a cool concept? :D

I cant drink without eating - it just sits wrong in my stomach. Not to mention its a kind of social thing.
I went without alchy last night and just had the brie and crackers :D
 
Well another day gone. I have a bowl of cereal calling my name but I had already allotted the calories in my food plan so its as good as got lol. Tomorrow is normally my cheat day but I don't know. I don't feel much like going out; Even though, Mexican does sound good. Well I'll decide all that mess tomorrow. A girl friend of mine came over and she started laughing at my diet. She is Chinese and told me they have been doing the same thing for 100's of years. Funny I don't look Chinese lol. Basically what she said was about the starch and oil and using meats more for a flavoring rather than a main ingredient. Aint oops lets stay proper.... Ain't it odd taking advice from someone thats not but 100 pounds soaking wet. She wants me to start taking in some oils because they have something in them but for the life Of me all I see is empty calories. Of coarse being the gentleman I am I agreed with her and at the same time it going in one ear and out the other. My diet is working and I'm not going to tamper with it...........
 
haha, have you noticed how a lot of people are just full of advice sometimes when they hear you are on a diet :)
Half it is myth and then there are the few who actually have some interesting things to say !
 
I just noticed you lost five more pounds for a total of 60!!!!! Man.....I'm not anywhere near 60 yet. You just flew on right by me, Weight Loss Man. Sounds like a super hero doesn't it?

Congratulations!! I am so happy for you. And you know, we all want to lose weight fast...but if everyone picked the weight they wanted to be, found out what the maintainance calories are for that weight and started eating that every day...well, our bodies would eventually reach that weight. It might take longer than we want, but we'd get there. And essentially that is what you are doing....and look at the weight just peeling off. Great job!!!!

It's the engineer in me. In school they drive in everything happens for a reason. this does that because of these here and physics says so. So thats where I started playing with the maintenance calories. I just turned it into basic math. So far its working well. Now if I go too low in calories there is plenty of fuel stored to burn. The trick will be when I get smaller the maintenance number goes down and the calorie intake wont be able to be half and then everything will slow down. I only take the big hunks off about once a month. for the next 3 weeks or so it'll be two pounds a week. My cheat nights haven't been hurting me but tonight I think ill skip it. Not really in the mood for hi calorie stuff. Maybe a salad instead.
 
Breakfast: 2 fried eggs (0 calorie cooking spray), 2 slices of turkey bacon, 2 slices of wheat. {70+70+35+35+70+70}
(350 calories)

Lunch: Grilled turkey sandwich; 2 slices of wheat, 9 ounces of turkey, 1 slice of cheese, 1 serving of salad dressing. {70+70+120+70+50}
(380 calories)

Dinner: Chinese buffet- nothing crazy

Snack:

Snack

Drinks: water, tea,
(0 calories)

Total 730 calories+ Chinese
 
I tell ya, that doesn't look like a cheat day to me!

Lee, you are doing a GREAT job, and I agree with the engineer principle, it's all about the math.

well the whole diet think hasn't been working the last few days. I went on a deep sea fishing trip and the food that was brought was um by no means low calorie. Mostly taco bell stuff that could be thrown in the microwave. So I have had some high calorie meals. I still stayed away from cokes and beer and mostly just been drinking water and juice. On the boat there wasn't time for breakfast lunch and dinner so haven't had breakfast for twoish days. Well we are back home now and having cleaned everything I can get back to the norm. I still stayed under my calories but ohhh the salt.
 
Lee, you're doing great. Even if you did get stuck having to eat Taco Bell it sounds like you were still 100% in control. Have a great week.
