A goal without a plan is just a wish...

Sounds like you are enjoying your summer holidays! Glad to see all the outings and drinking aren't bringing you down like they were last week. When I get back from my wedding holidays it's time to get serious about my healthy lifestyle again. Summer is just too much fun!
I want to hear more about your half marathon at some point too - like just thoughts you were thinking along the way - at what point did you feel like you were getting tired, did you ever feel like you weren't going to make it? Did you stop running while taking a drink of water? Where there washrooms set up in case people had to pee along the way? Any thought you can remember that might be helpful.
I don't know how you enjoy running in the heat - I'm like marathon man and have been sticking to the treadmills lately because I'm sweating just walking outside never mind running - I really haven't tried it because I'm chicken but maybe I would like it - guess I shouldn't be too afraid to try.
Sucks you are feeling down about your boy toy - maybe it will turn into a great friendship and you can hang out when you come back for visits. I suspect you will have lots of relationships this year and many boys fighting over you so you should just get used to playing the field for a while and you will know once you've found the right guy! I think it took me just over 20 guys to find my love! I didn't know right away when I found him but it didnt' take long! I think I knew after three months that I was going to marry him!! Anyway sorry for going on and on in your journal - I just miss chatting! Take care!

Lisa - I am having tons of fun this summer. It's just too bad that so much of it revolves around get togethers and celebrations and booze! But you're right, I've been enjoying myself more so than being upset about it and I'm ok with it because I know when I get back to school my routine will be so much easier. As for the half marathon... I honestly started getting tired by mile 3 or 4 - maybe it was the heat, IDK, but I definitely had to push myself there. Same goes for miles 9 and 10, because I had never run that far without stopping before. I never doubted that I would make it, I just kept going, even if I was moving quite slow, I did NOT want to stop and walk. So as I passed the water stations I grabbed one or two as fast as I could and kept running and drank them as I ran, sometimes just pouring them over my head! There were port-o-potty's along the way, usually by the water stations, but I never stopped and I noticed that there would be two or three people waiting for one which must have taken a good amount of time. The best thing I can say is just keep going. The last mile will be the shortest, I promise! :) And about the boy toy... it was what I thought it was. He said he doesn't want to keep leading himself on so he's been pulling away from me a bit. It's just going to be so hard for us to see each other when I go back to school, I guess he just wants to push away his feelings for me before things get more intense. It really SUCKS but I have to remember that it's not all about me and that I did this myself when I broke up with my boyfriend a few months back because I made a decision in my mind to do it, not because I really really WANTED to. But you're right, I just gotta play the field and have fun! :p I hope that when I find the one I will know as soon as you did with your man. I miss chatting as well, I guess I just never really have any good news anymore! I hate slacking on your journal especially!

Alright so update time. The last time I stepped on the scale was on Wednesday and I was 138.6 so the weekend weight came off but I still have 3 stubborn pounds to lose to get back to maintenance. I didn't work out until last night and the time before that was Sunday! I went to the gym with my friend so I pushed myself harder because I had someone working out with me. We did a 5 minute warm up on the treadmill, ran 1 mile, then did 2 miles on the elliptical with highest incline and resistance at half. Finished up with abs, it felt great. I almost skipped this workout because yesterday my friend and I went to tour the Miller Brewery in Milwaukee (yeah we are home of lots of BEER!!) which was free by the way! We even got 2 free beers and some pretzels. After that we went to lunch at a mexican restaurant. I got bean tostadas and we both got a margarita. For some reason I just thought I magically turned 21 yesterday and sure acted like it! LOL well I gotta go to the dentist soon, here are some pictures from yesterday... have a great weekend everyone!

Hey there! I haven't been around for a while, thought I'd check and see how you're doing. :)

It sounds like you are having a great time, touring breweries and such. That's pretty awesome. And you are looking fantastic!! Really amazing, and I know the last few pounds will come off fine.

What are your plans as far as maintenance? Still going to be vigilant about it?
