A goal without a plan is just a wish...

Dropped 3 pounds since Friday which puts me at 138.2! Very happy about that. My stomach finally looks like it's slimming back down so that's good too! I'm hoping I will be around 136 by the end of this week, I think I can do it.

Well, time to go get on the treadmill and start sweating! Happy Monday everyone, it's gonna be a good week! :)

YAY!! Keep up the wonderful work!! :cheers2:

Thanks Lady! :)

Ok - so here is my morning so far. Before my workout, I ate a piece of cheese (70 cal). Then I got on the treadmill:

- 1 mile run @ 6.5 mph
- 10 minutes intervals (1 min walk @ 4.0 mph / 1 min run @ 7.0 mph)
- 1 mile run @ 6.3 mph
- 10 minutes intervals (1 min walk @ 4.0 mph / 1 min run @ 7.0 mph)
- 1 mile run @ 6.3 mph
- 4 min cool down
= 55 minutes, 5.23 miles, 610 calories

For breakfast I had a small banana (100 cal) and oatmeal (130 cal). Also drank 32 oz. of water so far!

Today is going to be a GOOD day! Plus the weather is absolutely gorgeous :D

:hurray: Congrats on the loss and being back in the game!!! I knew you had it in you!!!!!! Keep it up !!!!!!!!:hurray:

Hey Sarah! Glad you are feeling better! Wish I would have been here when you were feeling down in the dumps - I do feel your pain - been there, felt that and so glad you have bounced back!! I never questioned that you wouldn't!! You have lots of time for your half marathon - a lot of the training I have seen revolves around 8 weeks so you can totally do it!! I bet your even ready now - maybe just not mentally but you will get there! I wish we could go out and run 10km together - I don't know anyone that I could go with and I think it would keep my speed up and challenge me. My friend that wants to do the half marathon with me can barely run 5km and I feel I am passed that and need someone to push me. Maybe it's time to get a personal trainer? Anyway just so glad you had a good weekend and are feeling yourself again - let's keep it up this week and have great weigh-ins!!

I'm glad you're back, I missed you yesterday and yes I wish I could've talked with you this weekend after facing the scale because I know it happened to you after vacation as well... damn vacations!!! :cuss: But you've made a huge comeback and I am ready to follow in your footsteps :D

-----

Yesterday was good as far as eating goes. I was snacking on the bag of peanut M&M's my mom gave me for Easter and also had 2 of her homemade cookies, but that was that for junk food and I even left my bag of M&M's at home so I wouldn't be tempted to eat them all this week at school!

I set my alarm for 6:15AM so I could go to the gym this morning but I went back to sleep after I woke up and it was pouring outside and thunderstorming really bad. I didn't want to go out in that weather! So I'm going to the gym this afternoon when I'm done with class.

For breakfast I had egg & cheese on a whole wheat english muffin and a bowl of strawberries. So I'm at about 300 calories for the day. Well, gotta get ready and head out to class. It sounds like it has stopped raining for now, I hope it stays that way!

Your doing great getting back on track! I know it stinks to go backwards after making so much progress, but look how quickly you were able to get back on track! You are rocking the running and that makes me super jealous lol. Have a great day and I hope the weather improves for you.

Yesterday was good! Ended the day at 1,500 calories and I got a great workout:

- 1 mile run @ 6.5 mph
- 10 minutes intervals (1 min walk @ 4.0 mph / 1 min run @ 7.0 mph)
- 1 mile run @ 6.5 mph
- 10 minutes intervals (1 min walk @ 4.0 mph / 1 min run @ 7.0 mph)
- 1 mile run @ 6.5 mph
- 0.25 mile walk cool down
= 5.25 miles, 55 minutes

So basically the same workout as Monday, but I kept my mile runs at the same speed instead of decreasing my pace. I don't know why but I was sweating SO BAD! Maybe because I had a long sleeve shirt on. I was soaked! My hair was sopping wet! EW! But I knew that meant I got a great workout :) I didn't do any weights or abs, but I'm going to do that today when I go to the gym in a little while. Also I didn't eat anything past 7:30PM and I was up until almost 11PM! Woohoo!

~ Sarah

Great job on not eating past 7 pm...this week i have diner past 7 pm lol!!!
Keep up all the great work!!

Did great with my eating alllll day yesterday until I gave in and decided to go drink at my friend's house. Then I came home with really bad munchies and probably consumed like another 600 calories :cuss: Not to mention I didn't workout yesterday! I was going to in the morning until I realized I had to write an outline for my speech and I wouldn't have enough time if I went to the gym first. Then after my classes I just wasn't feeling up to it. BUT, considering this is really the only slip up of the week so far, I'm not too worried about it. I'm just gonna do REALLY good today and hopefully tomorrow's weigh in will go well!

Today I'll try to keep my calories a little lower, get in a nice workout, and stay hydrated!

I think I'm going to be naughty and skip my second class today so that my weekend starts at 10:45AM :p

Later!

That is such a huge accomplishment! Even if you can only do that a couple times a week I think it really adds up! It's the staying up late part that always derails me! Glad you aren't dwelling over last night and moving past it with a good workout today! How has the weather been there? Are you starting to follow a training plan for the half marathon? Keep it up Sarah and your weigh-in should go great tomorrow!!:waving:

UGH, staying up late IS the problem! I'm the kind of person that is always really sleepy by 9PM or so. But then I have my roommate who won't go to sleep til 1 or 2 in the morning so whenever I decide to hang out with her I end up snacking because what else is there to do that late at night when you're just sitting around!? Grrrrr. Anyway, it's so cold today and there have been flurries! Crazy that exactly one week ago I was running outside in a tank top and shorts in 80 degree weather! That's Wisconsin for ya! I haven't followed a training schedule BUT.....

I saw a flyer in one of the buildings at school for our university running club! I wrote down the number on the flyer and am totally going to join! The flyer said it's for people of all levels of running so this will be a great way to stay on track and meet new people! I'm excited :D

Got out of class early and decided to skip the other one so now I'm gonna clean my room, pack up, and head home for a kick ass workout! :)

~ Sarah

Decided to take a half hour nap and ended up sleeping 2 and a half hours!!! GRRR :banghead: and now I just got home from school and dug into my Easter candy - peanut m&ms! OK time to hop on the treadmill and get an extreme workout. My right foot on the top of it is bothering me - if I do circles with my foot it really hurts, it feels bruised or something, and I have no idea where it came from so hopefully it doesn't screw up my running! NO MORE M&M'S I PROMISE!

_____________

UPDATE: Had a good workout,

- 2 mile run @ 6.5 mph
- 20 minutes intervals (1 min walk @ 4.0 mph / 1 min run @ 7.0 mph)
- Cool down walk
= 41 minutes, 4 miles, 470 calories
+ kettle bell exercises, abs, stretch

I'll be back in the morning to post my weigh in!

Ok - so weigh in went well I guess. I'm at 137.2 lbs now, which is only one pound down from Monday... but it's also FOUR pounds down since last Friday! Just a few more pounds til I'm back to where I started... I'm so anxious to get there! And I do NOT want to be stuck around 135 for a long time again! I want to get down into the 120's and I will get there if it's the last thing I do!!! :smash:

Workout time :coolgleamA: Have a great weekend everyone!

Down 4 pounds in one week is great! Just think if you can do half that next week you will be well on your way to getting back to where you were!! I'm 10 pounds away from you and looking to catch up so let's see who can lose it first!! You being on track is motivating me to keep going - just knowing you are trying and making an effort makes me want to put in the effort too! Let's keep it up and get to our goals together!! Have a great weekend - I'm going to try to be really good but still have a couple indulges worked in. I don't think I'm going to drink though so that's a plus! Throw away the M&M's!!

I'm no where near ready for my half marathon which is just 2 months away.

Ha, your telling me. Today I tried to run 5 miles with some walking every 10 minutes, and I felt like I WAS GOING TO DIE after 3 miles. So I'm sure you're better off than me. Then to top it off, my running partner is trying to convince me to run/walk with him THE WHOLE MARATHON!

We gotta rock it the next 7 weeks!

Looks like your back on track already though. I'll have to check back here more often so that I can steal some of your mojo and get my shit rocking!

LOL your post made me laugh a lot! Thank you! I'm really just going to keep doing what I'm doing to get to the 120's... mainly just focus on keeping my diet in line because I have let that slip up a lot! I had planned to be 125 by my 20th birthday coming up in May, but that means I only have one month to lose 10 pounds so I'm just hoping by summer I will be there!

4 pounds in one week is incredible! You should be so proud of yourself :D

Thank you Sunflower!

Alright. So, my weekend consisted of eating out places and drinking lots of beer. But, my eating was very spaced out, I didn't snack at all, I really only just ate during meal times. Yesterday morning I stepped on the scale just out of curiosity and I was 136.6! I didn't work out Saturday or Sunday, so I'm ready to get back to the gym and shed some more pounds this week! I'm feeling good about how I look again and it's making it easier for me to WANT to do good and keep losing weight. Sometimes when the results aren't showing, you feel like it's all for nothing or you'll never be where you want to be, but I am very optimistic that I will get to my goal weight and that's only about 10 more pounds!

Alright, time to check on everyone else :)
