Hello, everyone.
My name is Kristi, and like my thread title implies, I am a 20 (soon to be 21
) year old college student trying to lose some weight.
Currently I stand at 5'4" and weigh 145 pounds. My goal is to get down to 125. I dont have any specific timeline or goal date, but I would like to lose at least 5 pounds before August 15. Along with losing the weight, I would like to also gain some lower body strength. Basically I want a toned butt and thighs .
I play soccer at my school (division 3, nothing too fancy), and while this keeps me active overall, some practices are mostly standing around while others are full of physical activity. Inconsistency is basically inevitable for me during the fall.
Sooo, I'm going to rely heavily on my diet during soccer. I will have a small meal plan at the cafeteria. 10 meals a week, I believe, so I will be making some of my own meals, but also getting some of my meals from there. The cafeteria and I have had our struggles, but I think that my freshmen and sophomore years have taught me a lot about what and what not to eat.
Drinking could become an issue. Luckily, during season, we only drink once a week (if that), so I should be able to fight that issue off until we're out of season.
So, I think that is it for once I get back to school, but I still have a month until then! Yesterday was really my first day back "on the grind," as my ex would put it. I ate healthily, and I went for a run. The run was quite a struggle as I am pretty out of shape for a college athlete. I ran probably 3 miles with a little walk in the middle somewhere.
I also want to point out that I'm not trying to say I'm fat or anything. I was a member here in the past, and I had a heckler or 2 try to call me out for being one of "those girls," but that is not me at all. I know my limitations. I don't obsess over my weight, and I still maintain healthy eating habits (I don't starve myself). I'm just a girl that started believing in the "freshmen 15" a little too late! haha
Any way, I hope to hear from some of you soon, and I look forward to writing here and reading about everybody else's efforts!! Thanks!
Oh yes, and I absolutely love John Mayer.
His music at least.
