Ohh moving furniture!
Hehe i recall getting a new couch about 6 months back, it wasnt new new, but it was new to us.
we had to wait SOOO long before we dared to get something decent that the kids wouldnt wreck! The old one was ripped and ugly and broken and uncomfortable, but we couldnt justify a new one until the kids were all older than 8 at least :D

Good exercise moving furniture!

Congrats on the $20 from the garage sale. Heehee. I love garage sales. Most of my apartment is furnished by garage sale stuff. You walk in and the whole place just screams "Students live here!"

what is a garage sale?
xx

an american weekend tradition where person A will decide that they want to unload all their unused crap and get some money for it :) so on a nice saturday morning, they put all their crap out on thelawn, or driveway and put up signs that it's for sale.. .Other people who make it a weekend sport of gooing to garage sales (also called estate sales) and bargain for said crap where they will in turn sell that crap at their own garage sale a year later :)

It's really how a person unloaded stuff they didn't want before Ebay :) and it's fun tradition :)

Deb, I was peeking in your window yesterday (hey, where do you think the expression "peeping Tom" came from?), and I think the couch would look a whole lot better on the opposite wall. Just a thought. . .:D :D :D

Bwwwwahahahahaaaaaa!

That so wouldn't happen here - but then - you probably guessed that in your subtle sense of humor ;)

Bob will DROP the furniture in the first place he THINKS it should be - and will pronounce "I'm DONE." Then, when I want to try it every which way, he'll get all snippy and say "Can't you VISULALIZE it in your MIND?" "I can close my eyes and KNOW how it's all going to look wihtout having to MOVE it over and over again"

I'll bet $ I hear that at least twice today!

Good morning Debi! Yep, I can relate....I experienced that a few times this weekend when we moved...most of the rooms stayed the way we had "visualized" it working...but I must have rearranged the three "major counter appliances" (coffee maker, microwave, and toaster oven) in the kitchen four or five times to get them positioned in a way that would be both functional and look nice!!!! Did I already tell you how much I hate moving? :D :D

Cool that you got some new furniture! :)
