Glad you had a great night! You really keep plugging away :)

Thanks Cannon - we both keep plugging away - don't we, it's the only way we'll reach those goals!! :)

Honestly though it has been warmer this last few years than usual........and a lot less snow.......makes for a terrible summer...........drought!!!!!! Nothin worse than seeing the Rockies with no snow caps........sad!!!
enjoy your weather M and rock that swimsuit girl!!!!! STAR

You're right about the drought and summer Star - makes for bad fires too :(

As for that swimsuit - I will SO have to buy a new one - and truthfully, I really liked my old one. It's a miracle suit, size 20 I think, and I actually thought it made me look good - not to mention, I got it for $8!

i live in massachusetts, and it should have snowed by now...but its in the 40's and 50's if not higher every day!! IT RUINS Winter!!

That might ruin winter - but then, I'm not a big fan of winter ;)

Hey there M! Hope ur doing great! I am back in the 270s now! Yay! Just thought I would stop by and let u kno!

Hey Girl,
I am SO happy to hear that!! Just keep taking it one day at a time, and you'll kick the 70's good bye in NO time!

So how's your weather today, M2M? Man, I can't believe how far you've come! And thank you for the nice thoughts over in my world. *hugs*

My kitchen window says 65 (we're looking at possible showers come tomorrow & Friday - it's AMAZING how quickly things can change!)

I just got back in from my walk - had to cut it short since Bob is leaving and I needed to be back home before he left.

I got 3 miles in 34 minutes - also did my exercises. I am going to be OUT of the 80's by January's end come hell or high water!!
:)

M2M~yea!! I hope u are by the end of January, I believe you can!!! I hope to be out of the 70s by at least the end of February if not sooner!! :D

~Emily.

WOOOHOOOO HOT MAMA'S.......:D

Just when I get the resolve to go out and start walking cause its been in the 50s it suddenly drops. At least I have the treadmill, but its just not the same. You really have come a long way. I'm looking forward to joining you at the beach come summer '08.

Oh, wouldn't a Beach Party be GREAT!!

There is an amazing camp site in Santa Barbara that holds 80 people on their group site...

Hmmmm....

Ack - I don't know if I'll ever be in a bikini - I think I'd have to be a lot less then my goal weight of 155 to feel comfortable in one.

Oh wait, AND I'd have to be toned, fit, buffed and cut to pull it off.
Maybe even have those six pack abs I've heard so much about.

Hmmm...you know, it's not a bad idea really ;)

heyy m2m, thank you for the comment on my diary. I read a few of the posts from the very beginning of your journal and i think its amazing how easy it is to go through something like losing 24 pounds, without anyone noticing.
I can and kind of cant relate to that. I was trying to hide my eating habbits from people but i wanted them to notice i was dropping weight. I didnt want them to notice it was too quick, but i wanted them to notice....so im a little wishy washy but i was still upset when i had to say 'i lost weight, didnt you notice?'
thanks again for the comment and the support!

Hey dani,
You're right - there is that fine line between wanting to be noticed and not wanting to be judged.

When I first started losing weight, I didn't know if I COULD do it...I didn't want everyone to KNOW I was trying, and then to look at what I was eating and think "well THAT's not diet food" ;) I knew from the beginning that I was going to have to eat the foods I loved (I can NOT do restriction dieting) I just had to learn moderation and portion control!

hey M2M, yeah i was the same for the first bit of weight loss.
Then i realized it was easier to tell them so they could avoid some things and help encourage me.

I need more undies as well as swimming togs though, they all fall down currently :/

Way back on 24 October, I wrote:
Did I tell you guys I broke my shower this week? I turned the faucet on, and stood there *holding* the knob in my hand. I quickly shoved the handle back on in hopes of being able to turn off the water - which it did, but then I couldn't turn it back on

So, should I mention that it STILL isn't fixed?

Yeah, I've showered since then, but Bob and I are reduced to showering in Meg's bath every day - and I'm truly getting annoyed.

At the beginning of this week, our dryer smelled 'funny' while in the act of drying - so I wiggled the dryer about only to find that metal squiggly tube with a hole in it - The laundry room has sat there in the same condition I left it, waiting for Bob to fix it.

I'm really worried this will go the way of the shower handle  I'll be out of clean clothes, by, oh, tomorrow ;)

He said he'll fix it tomorrow, and asked if I would clean in and around the area so that he 'can get back there'.

Grrahh...I told him he could clean it while he's getting back there.

He just looked at me. Phtth!

So I took the metal squiggly hose tube thing off and thoroughly cleaned the laundry room, in, around and UNDER the washer and dryer. Eight years of never being moved has left it's mark ;) What a MESS!

Anyway, I'm truly not "allowed" to fix anything. About 16 years ago, I got it in my head I could fix the automatic window in my car. Only to get the door completely torn to bits to discover that the motor was out and needed to be "professionally" replaced. Granted, I lost a few screws along the way and 2 years later sold the car with a broken window regulator as is.

So...if there's a smell of dirty laundry eminating from my diary, you'll all know Bob never fixed the dryer, that it did in fact go the way of the shower handle, and I've killed him.

;)

LOL. Sounds like our house. Our "office" - which at the moment (and for the 2 years we've lived in this house) is really a storage room as my computer is on the coffee table in the middle of the living room. Anyway...the office has a LARGE chunk of ceiling missing. There was a leak in the roof he thought he fixed. Apparently not as I came home on one of the few days we got rain this year to find a very nice, very loud waterfall in the office. He ripped off sheetrock, insulation, all kinds of nasty stuff. And...well...if yours knows how to do ceilings and roofs, I'll send mine to fix your shower and dryer.
