Your equipment must be a bit better than mine. Fortunately I have a few options for drying clothes because 12 loads would take me 3 days to dry with my drier!! (And a couple of weeks to wash - with my dicky machine and low level of motivation!!) :D I'm glad you're on top of it!! :)

T2 - I just have one more classification than you - towels.

I'll do your laundry for a month if you send me some Pink Lady Apples :)

They're so rare over here and we pay dearly for them. Walmart had a pallet load of them and they sold out in 2 hours @ $7.00 a bag (3 pounds) I bought 2 bags and treasured them dearly.

At least white grapes and strawberries came down in price, I bought both today. I'm eating Empire Apples as we 'speak'. My after dinner snack - 2 sliced up with cinnamon sprinkled on.

That's $5/kg I think - they are usually $4/kg here. However that's not a bad price for us relative to other things. They are easy to get now though. When they were first developed the season for them was very short and they were relatively more expensive.

So far, I have finished the dark greens, light greens, yellow, khahki, blacks and one white load. I still have a pink, 2 blues, another white, beige sheets & one duvet cover load. That's 12 loads of laundry!!! I know it's been awhile, but this is CRAZY!
\

Yegads! I throw everything in the same load and just wash it.

I think ive only had 1 or 2 accidental 'pink's. New clothes get washed seperately though for a few washes.

Yeah i must admit, the smell of new clothes is fantastic!

WOWSER, and I thought my whites, pastels, darks-not jeans, tans, denim and separate "unmentionables" piles were alot! You get the gold star M! I thought I had a lot of green but you guys must REALLY have a lot...it gets two whole piles!

hehe, I break it down to whites and non-whites. So male, eh ??

Well, IME a true male doesn't exactly know where the washing machine and dryer ARE...so you're ahead of the game ;)

Well, this has been driving me crazy - I really don't think I've done any laundry since Christmas or very close. I normally do a load of laundry every day or so - I HATE having dirty laundry piled up! Three days to dry? I'd have that checked!!

Those Pink Ladies are nice aren't they? I'm disinclined to buy other apples now.

Oh Man, have you tried the Jonogold?
They are the current HIT in this house, I only first discovered them two weeks ago!

Yum snack :) I used to love the Pink Ladies, but it became pretty apparent that there is a very specific window for their freshness, they're on the shelves here quite often, but every time I would buy some, they'd be mealy - now I pass them over for Jonogolds - I think the average price for them around here are $1.79 # Strawberries are $4.99 for two pints, but will come down in price by mid to late February.

I don't think I've ever gotten an accidental pink - but a white sock has slipped in with the blacks before.

Poor white sock!

Well, yeah, I've always been a little odd about my linens...I used to iron sheets too ;)

But it breaks down like this:
Dark Greens - I have 2 large bath sheets (humungo towels), 2 pairs of jams
Light Greens - Bob has 2 med towels, our hand towels, 1 pair of jams and just about all of our napkins fall into this load - (at least this time of year)
Blacks
Dark Blues
Light Blues
Pinks/Purples
Red (sometimes these three will get combined)
Khahki/yellows/Brown (sometimes these three will get split up depending on how many)
Whites
Sheets

So - that's the break down and I had a lot of EXTRA clothes since my dryer's been out - so I had double loads of colors.

I'm making progress, 3 loads left!

M2M - Three days to dry? I'd have that checked!!

 bad math 3hrs x 12 = 36 hrs

I haven't even seen them here. I will pounce now if I do! :)

I hope you have seen the last of that backed up laundry now!! How many calories do you think? It could be small and still add up to a bit by the time you multiplied by 12! :)

Hmmm...I hadn't even considered that benefit :)

Been gone all day, so I have tons of catching up to do - I hope you guys all had a good day!!

I got fussed at by the hubby for not having a white and non-white pile. I used to just go in, put whatever would fit in the basket, take it to the garage, put it in the washer, wait until it was done, put it in the dryer, start next load. Even with 2 of us, I could usually get the laundry done in 2 loads. Of course, if the whites started to look kinda dingy (he would complain - "why do my socks look like blue jeans??" lol), I'd do a separate load of whites that got bleached.

Now that I have more than one pile - "dirty" - the towels go with the jeans. Except maybe the white towels. But I fixed that - I just don't buy white towels!

There's something to be said for paper napkins - one less load of laundry!
