That's a very lovely picture of you M2M.
And... your daughter is just darling. She has the most sparkly shining eyes I've ever seen. In chinese culture, that's a sign on intelligence and wit. She must be a mastermind. :) Oh. And I love her hair. Soo pretty.

Hi, M2M.

Thanks for posting the pics. You and your daughter are very lovely. I haven't checked in with you for awhile. With the challenge going on, working long hours and trying to get my house in order I am slow to catch up. You look like you are in good spirits and doing great! Have a fabulous Thursday!

Hi Everyone :)

I just got home - I had to take my 83 y/o mother-in-law to our nail appointment, followed by getting Meg to her swim meet (she was in 4 events and will get 4 ribbons, no lower then 4th place!), then came home, dropped her off and went to Trader Joe's to get food to take to the beach tomorrow.

I added up my calories so far and I've only had 365 - I plan on having a Lean Cuisine tonight because it's so late, which would bring the daily total to 605. Certainly not as high as it should be, but considering yesterday, I'm not going to sweat it.

I'll be gone from 12:00-5:30 at the beach tomorrow, then have to get Meg to swim practice from 6:15 to 8:15, so I won't be home until 8:30 again tomorrow. I'm planning on taking food for the whole day.

Mommyof2 - don't put a lot of faith into "predictions" for height. The summer of 4-5 grade, I grew 7 inches and was 5'7". I broke my finger and the doctor that set it came in after reading my x-rays and said "Well, young lady, you are going to be WELL over 6' tall!" I just started to cry. I already towered over everyone in school, I got my bra, my TOM and braces that year (4th) I just wanted to crawl under a rock (a big one) when he told me that. I stopped at 5'9" :D

Twin, I'm not sure when I became a member - I never pay attention to that info.

T2 - Um, thanks for the inserted flirt line - I think ;)

C - thanks for the sweet words, Meg is smart and smart witted - sometimes too much so ;)

Pineola - so good to see you popping in, I know what you mean about so much going on. I'm having a really hard time getting to everyone's diary! Especially with all the reading that goes on just to catch up LOL!

I'm glad you're planning ahead and taking food with you for the day!!!!

Planning ahead is my saving grace. I like to know exactly what I need to have and do for the next day. It's my "fail safe" plan.

I hope you have a great day tomorrow!

BTW, Thank you for that poke. It helped and I went with my family for about a mile long walk in 25 mins.

Good Morning :)

I ended yesterday with 852 calories - not great, and I certainly won't go that low today but with the excess calories from the day before, maybe it will all work out evenly at the end of the week ;)

I walked 3.3 miles this morning - it seems like that is the sticking number - I would like to get up to 4, but that will take time.

I'm heading to the beach and then to M's swim practice so I won't be home until late - but I hope you all have a good day :D

I wouldn't sweat the low calorie day. The problem with low calorie days is when you have a bunch of them. I love Trader Joes, but the closest one is still too far for me to get frozen stuff home before it defrosts.

I wouldn't worry about the low cals, it isn't as if you had deprived yourself of food when you were hungry ... it just ended up that way. I said this to Bronsk when she had a low cal day. It is as if your body is getting used to eating smaller amounts and less often, so that when you had more calories one day, the next day your body said ... thanks, but I had enough yesterday, I don't need more today. It all evens out in the end ;)

Oh Mrs. B - that makes so much sense to me - I averaged out my week, and I am averaging 1350+/- a day per week. I just don't want to risk having my body go into starvation mode. I NEED it to burn calories efficiently - not store them ;)

Cannon, I would be so disappointed if Trader Joe's was so far! I'm generally there twice a week.

RNW - thanks for stopping by :) I haven't seen you posting in awhile!

Monday!?!?!?! Oh, you torment my soul. :p

I want to go to a beach. We took the kids to a big lake over Memorial Day weekend. That is the biggest water they have ever seen. They keep saying they want to go back. I can't imagine how they would react to the ocean. Maybe we need to plan a trip down to the gulf next summer. It's about a 9 hour drive, but we have friends in Dallas, so we wouldn't have to go straight through. Well, have fun!

Hey M2M,

Good job on the walking, and don't worry, you'll get to 4 miles, and even if it does take time, it's time well spent investing in yourself! As for the food, 1350 cal/day average isn't bad at all! As a matter of fact, it's good! Did you read Scarlett's post about calorie cycling, I like that idea too.

Take care!:)

You have such control - I sure wish I had to up my calories! I don't have that problem. Ugh! Keep up the good work!
Go Belly Busters!!!!

I bet you are having a fantastic day at the beach today!!!!

And you calorie average is good....like the others have said it's the average that matters.

Keep it up, cutie pie!

i think Mrs B is right. your body won't go into starvation mode after one day. just like it won't gain a pound if u eat a few extra calories one day either. but do try "cycle" your calories and try not to always eat so lil. it's not good for you anyways. you need nutrients! p'-'q

I must say you look like you are glowing in your avatar picture. It sounds like you are really in control! You are an inspiration to me and I'm sure many others.

Hi Everyone :)
I just got in a bit ago - the day at the beach was gorgeous! Megan spent the ENTIRE time boogie boarding, I can't wait to get her on a surf board! We went to swim practice and she got 4 ribbons, 2 Fourth Place, 1 Third Place and 1 Second Place. She was really excited!

I finished the day with 1093 calories, better then yesterday and they were good, thought out food :)

Oh Twin, I bet they loved the lake - I couldn't imagine living 9 hours from the beach...we were just south of this picture I found online

MissP, no, I haven't read what Scarlett posted, I've seen it mentioned, and somehow I must have missed that page of her diary - I will go read it though!

Mo2, Scarlett and C, thanks for your words, I have never known in the past if I had too low of calorie days, so this is definitely a learning experience!

Jenn, thanks for the kind words - I don't know about being very motivational, but I do know I LOVE feeling IN control.

This weight is coming OFF! I've decided ;)

I'll be gone most all day tomorrow, but I'll try to catch up with diaries a little at a time but definitely by this weekend :)

Hope you're all doing well!

Aww sounds like you had a great time at the beach lass, I wish we had good beaches where I am (well we do have a couple but the water is always freezing). Keep up the good work and enjoy your weekend!:)

"I finished the day with 1093 calories, better then yesterday and they were good, thought out food"

That's such a key. I had some diets in the past where I had 1100 calories that were basically 2 cheeseburgers.
