Hi Mrs. B :)
You must have been posting as I was!

I think you're right about taking the pictures. I have an old 2 piece from my 185lbs days, (circa 1990) I just don't know if I can FIT into it LOL!

I'll try - I like the idea of not posting them until I drop another 50 pounds or so ;)

I'm off to go shower - I'm home for awhile this morning, so I will get to diaries today! Yay!!

Oh M2M! It's OK that you went out for Mexican food! ;) (hehehehe) Lol! Sorry. No, seriously! It's not like you do it often. It's not going to kill you to enjoy yourself once in awhile. :D

Oh, I know HH, I don't do it often (and I forgot to mention the *3* tortillas I had with dinner - what, another 450 calores!) EEK!

But you're right, I don't do it often. It wasn't so much what I ate that bothered me, it was that I knew I was getting full and didn't stop. That's the kind of control I want to master ;)

At least I have the misery of how I felt during the movie to remind me next time!

that is the hardest thing to master... but you're aware of it -- so it should become easier with time.. don't beat yourself up.. awareness is a huge step..

It is a really tough thing to control. I do the same thing sometimes, and I'm very near my goals after a long journey. I still don't know how to stop when I'm getting full. If I don't decide before I eat how much or little I'm going to strictly stick to, I can't figure out when I need to stop. I'm still working on that, and I really think that's going to be very important when it's time for me to maintain my weight. Make that a RARE occurrence, and you can still make progress. No worries! Oh, yeah, and carpe diem right back at ya!

I've said it before and I'll say it again .... there is NOTHING wrong with a maintenance day!! I really believe it does us all a world of good, and according to what Scarlett has just put in her diary, it is good to have the odd day with higher calories because it boosts your metabolism ;)

Wow,

you have such a great attitude!!!!

I think of it like this: We live in a world that may involve going out to dinner once in a while, but if you mind how much you eat and what you eat while you are out, it can be done.

Plus we all have to learn from our mistakes and you have a really great attitude that will help with that.

Oooo! Mrs B - I have to go read what Scarlett wrote about maintenance days!

Mal, you're right, it is a hard step and awareness is truly the first step :)

Miss P - You really are close to your goal - I like what you said about planning before hand. I planned about what I was having, but hadn't considered how MUCH or when to stop. I'm definitely going to keep it in mind in the future.

In Twins thread, we were talking about our red heads and I decided to post two pictures of mine, one from a few years ago, but it's my favorite picture, and one from her swim team.

My screen name of m2m actually stands for mom2meg, which I use everywhere!

I can see why that is your favorite pic. What great colors and light - and a real cutie! :) Yep, these little redheaded girls are going to be the death of us come teen years!!!!

Miss K, I agree, we do live in a world where we go out and sometimes splurge, and I know that's normal. My goal for next time is to listen to my body and stop when I am full. Mid point through my meal, I *knew* I was ready to stop - had that little conversation in my head, and kept eating anyway. During the movie, there were two times like I felt the food wasn't going to STAY down. That's when I knew I need to pay better attention in the future!

And Twin, YES they will be the death of us, but in the mean time, I revel in it - I love being Meg's mom, and I tell ya, she is so different from me, that there is NO question in my mind I have her for a reason - there was SO much I needed to learn ;)

And thanks Mal :) I love the first picture! The second one didn't scan well and you can't see her eyes very well, but it is the picture she most loves!

OK - Inspired by Miss Kallie to put a picture up of me for my avatar - it's of me on my last birthday (2005) which was about 20 pounds more then I am now.

wow, there's lots of attractive women on this site :) Trucker (our resident flirt :) is gonna think he's died and gone to heaven or something :) you have a great smile...

Oh Mal, you're sweet, thank you!

The picture came off a camera phone and not a very good resolution, but it was the only one small enough that works for an avatar. I have some other pictures where my face looks much, ahem, fuller - but I din't want to use those ;) And all the other pictures I have are of me with a drink in my hand! LOL!

Yep Val, we were at the exact same starting point - how tall are you? As for chasing me, you gotta get up early to catch me ;) It's nice having someone on my heals - it keeps me moving forward!

Sorry it took me awhile to reply. I am 5 foot 9- how tall are you? Trust me, I would love it if I could get up early to catch you... but I can hardly get up for work on time let alone an hour earlier to get some exercise in. But I will do what I can to catch up so you feel some competition from me.

Hi Val,
I'm 5'9" also! Getting up earlier enough for work is hard as it is! I haven't had a clock in my bedroom for almost 16 years. I found I would lay awake staring at it watching the numbers move (weird, I know) ;)

So I've gotten to the point where I wake up early automatically - if I had an outside the house job, it would have to be different. I don't know how I would incorporate the morning walk in :\

It is good having you on my heals! Very motivational ;)

You're a beauty, M2m! And so tall - I'm jealous. One of my daughers is supposed to be 5'8" (if the prediction is correct) and I'm so happy for her! I'm 5'6". How did you post the photo? I've tried, but it said that the photo was too big and no matter how small I made it, it wouldn't accept it.

Go Belly Busters!!!

You're so pretty!!!!!! Lovely smile. You know in some other pictures you posted you looked like this dear friend of mine. And now in this picture you look like another dear friend of mine. Whoa!!!

You know who you remind me of ...remember that show Designing Women....and the character Charlene played by Jean Smart. You totally look like her!!!

Okay, tall chick! All this talk about height made me decide to actually measure, and 5' 5" WAS with my shoes on. I'm an inch shorter than I thought I was. Denial is apparently quite prevalent in my psyche!

Cute pic, by the way! :)

HEY!?!?!?!

When did you suddenly become a MEMBER? :D
