speaking of lazy butt - I got mine out for another walk too -
3.43 miles 35.29 10.28 minutes per mile.

Slower then this morning's 6.1 miles but I can live with that.

I got 20 minutes into mine and then the heavens broke lose. I didn't have my heart into it anyway, I was def pushing my luck.
 
i don't know how the two of you do it. 1 mile a day for me is enough...atleast for now. I may be the "crunch queen" but the two of you take King and Queen of walking by far!

Well Jenn, you're way ahead of me in that dept. because if and when I finally walk off that last blubbery shit down there, I won't have that killer washboard underneath waiting for me, so keep on crunchin' girl ;)

and blame Debi, she started the infection I now carry :D

You were infected before I even met you!

And remember - spot training doesn't work - a gazillion crunches aren't going to give you those wash board abs T2 - it's an issue of fat loss.

Full body exercises with weights will help you where you want to go though :)

*waiting for me* I think I used that term. Believe me, I googled 'lower ab fat' about a zillion times too, I'm convinced it's all about the loss first, just saying I'll have no pretty muscles underneath when the fat is gone :(
 
I'm not saying don't do them - core exercises are a GOOD thing.

But you don't have to do a gazillion of them.
Steve suggested 3 sets of 10 every other work out, work outs 3 days a week

OK - I got my walk & exercises in this morning
4.49 miles 42.57 minutes 9.48 minutes per mile

Lunges 3 sets x 10
Over Head Presses 3 sets x 10
RDL 3 sets x 10
Pull ups 3 half ass

Thanks Iwan - it doesn't really feel like a lot - but it's the list Steve suggested, so I'm following the doc's orders :)
 
So...I'm taking a break from the frivolity for a moment to share my failure as a parent.

Hope you don't mind I pull a quote from yesterday's thread. First off, if these are the things you occasionally get behind on doing then I think you're a fantastic parent. It's not like you forgot to call and schedule her life saving surgery. Plus with only 12 spaces, it's hard to say if calling the night before would have made a difference. It might have already been filled and you can't blame yourself for that. She's 12 did you say? There will be plenty of workshops.

Secondly, um... remember this when she "forgets" to come home by curfew on her first date;) Or when she forgets the multitude of things you ask her to do because after all we're all human, it's life and it does go on.

Oh and happy hump day!:)

She's 10, and like any good 10 y/o, she's promptly forgotten all about it ;) I did feel like I let her down though, and I hate that. The director really, really liked her and wanted her in the program, she's on the waiting list and that's about as good as it's going to be for now.

And I do hope to remember some latitude when she comes home late some day.

Although, probably not much ;)
 
I saw someone once do this a long time ago here on the WLF and I always thought the comparison pictures were cool - so below are some of my clothes.

The khakis are in order size 20, 16, 14
The jeans are in order size 20, 16, 12

The last picture is of a hair color gone awry ;)
 
the differences are incredible - you should be so proud of your beautiful self :)

and you are a real beauty :) not that you weren't before but you look fabulous :)
