Thanks for all the well wishes :) I think she's thinking the more people sending good thoughts, the better her chances ;)

Wishes, can you believe we don't own a video?

Besides, we couldn't do it for the performances - the play runs the 9-20 of May, so I'm sure if she gets the part, we could borrow someones and tape a rehearsal.

She's enjoying this process - the anticipation, the practicing her monologue (naration scene from one of the Chronicles of Narnia books)

I'm surprised she chose that bit actually - it's not an overwhelming piece, not a lot of emotion to it one way or the other, but she'll have fun doing this today.
 
anne of green gables is one of my favorite books - and i loved the pbs series that was on a few years back... road trip to california to see meg in the play :)
 
She loved the book & the movies with Megan Follow (is that the PBS one?)

Megan is truly a little Anne Shirley in so many respects - her book club group did the book a year or so ago, and that's all everyone, including the moms could say.

Coffee in hand...
only an hour and a half after I woke up.

That's just crazy!

And if I had lap top - I'd so be in bed too!
Granted, my computer is in my kitchen - I should have been able to make coffee with NO problem!
 
Great news about your daughter, m2m. You better start planning out your wardrobe for the Oscars!

when i moved here -i have much less counter space than my old residence and the thing that i miss most -is my coffee grinder/coffee maker that would grind the beans and make coffee - on a timer ;) oh that is gods gift to the lazy coffee drinker -you just have to make sure that it's got water in itthe night before and the coffee fairies go to work just as you're waking up :)

I really wanted to put it in my bedroom but it was loud whe it was grinding :)
 
We have two of those Mal - his and hers.
Neither one of us can remember to prepare it the night before ;)
 
All this talk about coffee really makes me yearn for a fix of caffein. And it's 4 pm around here. But maybe my guests would like to have some too, we're supposed to be able to party on after 10 pm tonight, so... :rolleyes:

I just wanted to let you know I am sending Megan some positive thoughts too. :) Actually I am sending some for her and some for you also. With you to talk to about it, the audition will be good learning for her regardless of the outcome, but getting the part would be even better!!

How nice that you have a little Anne Shirley in your home already. Anne of Green Gables was absolutely one of my favourite books when I was little.

Thanks for dropping into my diary this morning. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the warm environment. I want to have everyone over for coffee, or should i say water?:p

I hope your daughter does well at her audition. As someone who has done about a thousand, tell her to go in there and make them believe that there is no other option but to cast her for the part. I found that sort of confidence always works. And it's a lot less intimidating when you feel as though you own the audition instead of it owning you. Keep us posted about the results!

RDL 3 sets @ 10
Pull ups - 1 full 4 half ass ;)

Thanks for all the well wishes for Megan - I just read them all to her and it's amazing how inspiring it is knowing that people all over the world are thinking good thoughts for her!

BG - thanks for your input - she's never done anything like this on such a professional level (she just found out she would actually get PAID to do this) ;) I told her your advice and in a cocky little 10 year old attitude, she said, (with hand on hip)...OK - that audition is MINE!
