good luck - make good choices :)

I'll try - but it is hard when you have no idea what they'll be serving!

hope meg does well at her swim meet too - what events does she do?

She has it pretty easy tomorrow - she's only swimming 3 events, the 50y Breast, 50y Free, & the 100y Backstroke.

There were a lot of events she would have enjoyed swimming today, but since I have the DI meeting, she didn't want to go if I couldn't be there to help her.

Her "Boyfriend" (remember, she's 10), was all annoyed with me, "WHY isn't she swimming on Saturday???" Because no one was available to bring her to the meet. "WELL, she could have had a sleep over at MY house, and we would have brought her."

o_O

The little snot is alway telling me HOW I should do things in regards to parenting MY daughter.

Yeah, he's 10 too - which is just about his only saving grace ;)

Di

Thanks for the encouraging words in my diary!

Have you ever done DI before? A few years ago I was one of the parents that supervised (watching and guiding ONLY) a group with my daughter. They chose to build a little platform, only 16 grams, to see how much weight it would hold. There was only one other group that attempted that challenge, so we got second, which qualified for state! The kids did NOT want to go, so we didn't (I was glad, too). They ranged from 4th to 6th grade. It was hard to keep them on task!!

Have a great day!
Cheryl

Yes, This is the 3rd year we've been involved with DI and last year I was a team manager. We had kids go to state last year :) Very fun!

And yes, it is very hard to keep them on task! LOL! I managed 7 boys - OMG!

;)

ahh by y you mean yards right? in england we swim 50ms instead of 50 yards .. although i have trained in a 33.3 yard pool :S weird
we should do a swim team exchange :p

Howdy sorry about this but I have to do the copy and paste routine
do to Saturdays are hectic and I want to spread the love to everyone;) !
Have a great day and a healthy weekend,Tammy

Thanks Sprite!

I have to head out soon to go set up for the swim meet - and it's raining.
JOY!

Hope your weekend is going well :D

I cant wait till my daughter gets into doing sports or something! Have a great weekend M. You are a wonderful mom!

Gee, Meg's 'boyfriend' sounds like a keeper. ;) Heehee. I hope her swim meet goes well.
How was the provided food for the DI meeting? Not too bad, hopefully.

Hi Everyone,
I'm home from the swim meet (trust me, being in charge of the snack bar was MUCH worse then the food provided at DI yesterday!)

It did rain most of the time Meg swam, but she took 1st in her division for her 50y BR and shaved seconds off of her two other events - bringing home a blue ribbon is a first for her - she's very excited!

I had too many sausauge linkes - and a cheese burger (no mayo) - like I said, worse then the food from DI - there I had two large bananas, an apple , grapes, carrots and a dry turkey mini sandwich.

I'm cold and tired - I'll catch up with you all later :)

Congrats to your daughter! I bet you're so proud of her!
Don't worry too much about the extra food, just enjoy the happiness of your daughter! You can get back on track this week and add a little exercise so the sausage links will be forgotten soon:)
