A dairy from India

How was your weekend? You must be seriously looking forward to some quality time coming up. I'd be thinking about this weekend myself if I was you.

Waiting sucks doesn't it?

Hope you are enjoying your time away. :waving: Can't wait for your update when you return. One week of the Halloween challenge left - let's kill it this week! Take care and I'll check back with you Monday!

Hi dear

Hello Juni,
how are you doing?I hope you had fun in Diwali and enjoyed the sweets, food and crackers:)I have gained 3 kgs dear and am starting my exercise regimen this week, starting it slowly after a loooooong gap :)
You seem to be going steady, good going, keep in touch, enjoy life and keep smiling :) God Bless ya :)

So I am back!!!

I had the most amazing time away. We went all the way up in the Everest region further than I have been before. There was A LOT of intense walking and beautiful amazing scenary and amazing time with my sweetie. Now I am back and missing the mountains terribly. There was also a lot eating of potatoes and drinking of butter tea. The weather was perfect (best time to be in that region). I have some pictures I need to work on, and will post em as soon as I have some time.

Unfortunately, my time away didn't really help with the weight loss. I just don't understand what I am doing wrong. I think I have made it clear how frustrating this is. I guess I should be glad I am not gaining weight. Oh well. I will just keep working at it until I defeat this stagnant weight.

What I did realize though was that the running REALLY helped with trekking. It built up endurance and I was walking fast, surprising my BF. It felt good.

Now I am back. Ran the second day of week 5 today. Was a breeze. Now looking forward to the first 20 min run on Thursday (I have to admit I am a lil nervous about it too).

So that's my story. Thanks to everyone who visited my journal and left some luv. I am off to read what you guys have been up to.

Oh and it has been a couple of weeks (or more) since I have been off sugar. I tried to have a piece of chocolate just now (and it is the kind of chocolate I like- the creamy smooth texture of yummy Godiva) and it felt SOOOOO sweet. I just could not tolerate the taste it left in my mouth that I had to go and brush my teeth to get the taste off. Does this mean I am off sugar? I REALLY hope so. I have to beat this weakness I have of refined sugar.

Hi CG,- had an amazing time. It was peaceful, beautiful and was a lot of hard work. I am back more tanned (and hopefully toned), although my weight has remained the same. Grr....

Hope everything's well with you. Yes, just one more week til the end of the challenge, and sadly, I am where I was (weight wise), when the challenge started.

I do feel much better tho. And I know for a fact that my stamina is getting better and better. And I can feel my muscles (around my calves) getting tighter. Could it be?

Have a great week, CG.

Hey Juni

How was the weekend? I had a lazy one. Going hard on the exercise to make up for it.

See you here soon,

Ana

Ana- my weekend was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! :) :) Now I am back to reality and catching up on a looooot of work. Buuuhuuu.....:( :( I guess I had my fun, now it is back to work.

How's running going? Week Five seems easier than four, doesn't it? I wonder why. Dreading the 20 min run tho.

Hope all's well. Read about your peaceful weekend. I really need me one of those soon. :sifone::sifone:

I hear ya on the festivals. I love Diwali and i ate amazing food. Hope all's well with you. Will drop by your diary soon.

Seeing the above note on my journal from you totally made my night. Take care of yourself, sweetie. And talk soon.

That's awesome Juni! It doesn't always have to be the scale where we see results. You are doing great and I'm loving your positive attitude! Glad you had an amazing time - do you have any pics you would like to post? Keep it up! I have a feeling you are going to end the challenge with a loss!:seeya:

Thank you, CG. I hope you are right. Just feel like I have nothing to show for all the hard work I have been at for the last three months. Although I feel great. I guess I just need to not give up. I do hope I can end the challenge with a loss though. :auto:

So my food intake yesterday (27 Oct)

B'fast- two pieces of toast with a lil marmalade
Lunch- Brie cheese and chicken breast sandwich on 1/2 French Baguette
Snack- Muesli and a few potato chips
Dinner- soy nuggets currey with garbanzo beans, basmati rice
Snack- Crackers

I am on WK5 of C25k program. Friday is my 20 mins run. Excited!!

Been drinking so much water.

How's everyone? I miss people visiting my journal and leaving love. Been so quiet around here.

Hi Juni, I've been a li'l busy so I didn't get the chance to stop in. So the weekend was pretty amazing huh? I'd love to hear about it. Lemme know if you ever get the chance to chat.

Ok so I didn't make the best food choices today

B-two toasts with jelly and peanut butter
L-veggies, rice and lentils
S-shredded pork with rice (a few spoonfuls), tomato, cheese, cucumber salad with a small piece of brown bread (hahaha...and this was an hour after I had lunch- wtf?)
S-a handful of nachos and apple juice
D-chapati and veggies
S- a couple of marzipan

Could have done with out the second snack of nachos and as soon as i put marzipan in my mouth i regretted it so i have no idea why i even had it. Strange things we do.

The weekend was awesome. I saw Everest VEERRRRY close, which I haven't the last couple of times I was there. The weather was perfect and the clouds/haze had gone. That was basically the highlight of my trip, really.

Would love to catch up soon. I am buried in work for the next few days.

Hope you are well, Karl.

Hey Juni,

Glad to hear you had a great weekend. I'd like to see everest up close one day too. (I don't think I'd ever try to climb it though).

Sorry you didn't lose on the scales but its good that you didn't go up either!. You must be feeling heaps fitter than when you started. I'd been eating a bit of the refined sugars until about a week ago, and I've been trying really hard to have fruit instead. I hope to see a change tommorrow.

I've decided to sigh up for the Nov challenge, in the hope it'll keep me motivated. After that I'm on holiday for 3 weeks and I'm going to try really hard to maintian and not come back from holiday with a big gain.

I've gotta go, catch you later... sending you some love :)

Ana

I can't believe you are exactly the same! Do you ever see any other numbers on the scale? For instance have you tried getting on at different times of the day just to know your scale isn't broken to say 134? If I get on at night I am usually 3-5 pounds heavier than morning. I know it's probably not broken but damn that's crazy! Well 134 is a very healthy weight so as long as you are feeling better and noticing your endurance, etc I think you are doing great! Keep up the positive attitude!:seeya:

Hahaha.....CG. You totally cracked me up. Thanks- that cheered me.

And to answer your question: The reason I always see 134 is coz I go on the scales in the morning at the same time (every time I go on anyway), after bathroom and before breakfast. I hope and pray that it changes every time i go on, and it doesn't. It is not even like I go on it every day (maybe once a week- well kinda have to for the halloweeen challenge).

I don't usually go near the scales in the evening coz I know I will be up and that'd make me more depressed.

I wish the machine was broken and reading more weight than I am tho.

Im not going near the damn thing for another two weeks. Working really hard so I can see some result.

Endurance is building up, and the muscles around my calves are getting stronger. I have been able to breathe really well during my runs, and that makes me really happy. Other than that, there's nothing really new to talk about. :)

My first 20 min run tomorrow! Woah!!

Food intake:

B-toast with PB
Snack-light lentil soup with yogurt
Lunch-ham on multigrain roll. Tomatoes, cucumber, onion salad (it was yum with the bread)
Snack-leftover salad
Snack (again!)- handful of nachos
Dinner- veggies
Snack-crackers and some fruit leather

So I had seven small meals today.

Oh and I had a piece of cookie at work which i couldn't finish coz it was too sweet.

I LOVE the fact that I am beginning to dislike refined sugar. :)
