A dairy from India

Had a blah kinda day. Nothing exciting really.

Couldn't get up on time for the run in the morning and I was sooooo late for work that I couldn't grab anything for breakfas but a piece of toast with jam.

Then work work work...Left the office around 5, rushed home, changed and ran in the evening (i think that's the only good thing that happened).

Food:
B-a piece of toast with jam
Lunch- bulgar, veggies and lentils
Snack- PBJ and three pieces of toasts (I was so hungry)
Dinner- 1 roti with eggs (need to go grocery shopping)
Snack- 12 almonds and yogurt

Boring boring food today. Still struggling with enough protein. This is really frustrating. Need to start having more yogurt and incorporate fish and chicken in my diet somehow.

So quiet here. Don't mind talking to myself, but I miss people dropping in and saying hi. :( come back everyone!

Hi Juni,
Sorry I have been away all week but I am back and catching up on my reading.
Good work with the no sugar! I know what you mean about the cravings for the first couple days when trying to cut it out. I'm going through that right now too with greasy food! I ate so much of it this weekend and now that's all I'm craving! pizza, burgers, fries, everything bad! Today is day one of being back on track and it's so hard! I wanted a bagel on my way to work and almost stopped to get one but decided if I started the morning bad I would make excuses all day so I stuck to the yogurt and all bran.
I'm nervous about tomorrow's weigh-in for the halloween challenge, I skipped my weigh in at Weight Watchers this Wednesday and haven't been on the scale at home all week because I'm too scared. Tomorrow I'm going to face the music and get on but I'm not expecting it to be good.
Glad you are doing better than me! Keep it up - your motivating me already!

:rant::rant::rant::rant::rant:

WTF, i am up 2lbs. Despite working out all week, eating healthy, avoiding sugar. This is not TOM for me, i have not been eating too much sodium and my weigh-in was at the same time I have done in the past. I know 2lbs is not much, but i cant help but be discouraged. This is really ridiculous. I would have some kind of consolation if my clothes were beginning to feel loose, but they feel the same. I have measured myself and my measurement is the same. Just pissed off at the moment. I know the point is to be healthy and learn to live healthy long-term but some results would be nice. Ugh!:rant::rant::rant::rant:

Ok Im done ranting. Now im off to change my ticker. Ugh ugh ugh!!!

It happens. I did the same thing this week. I bounced up like 4 lbs. I expect it to come right back off, but...

Kinda hoping it does, I've only got another 6 weeks until my vacation, wanna look as good as I can...

Double check your stats, as long as you're doing the right thing, it should fall right back off.

Bummer on the gain on the scales... I'm sure they'll show all your hard work in another week.
I went up a pound this week, but I've been eating rubbish so it was prob to be expected.

I'm working over the weekend ( and partying too) so I'm just trying to fit exercise in where I can.

I did run yesterday and my legs are a little sore today. Do you get sore from the running?

Hope you have a good weekend, don't be too discouraged, you're doing so well!

Ana

Still kinda depressed about the whole gain thingie. But I must tell myself it is just 2lbs and move on. To bigger and better. That little scale machine has so much power over me. I totally hate it.

The important thing, I think is I didn't go out and binge. I had a light dinner, so later at night I a tuna sandwich. But I guess I am allowed that.

Been good so far. This is a BIG holiday weekend for Inida- Diwali the festival of lights. I have been invited by friends to attend the ceremony and dinner. I will stick to making right choices.

In other news,I am going trekking in the Everest region next. We (my hunnie ad I) are flying into Kathmandu (capital of Nepal) and then taking a flight up, then walking for a couple of days til the gateway of Everest. That totally pumps me. Really looking forward to it.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I Ana, so nice of you to drop by. I know you had a killer week. Now you are working over the weekend? But you are mixing it up with partying and working out, so that should be fun.

I am really enjoying the runs. Not sore from running yet, but I will repeat wk 4 again the coming week. Did have horrible side stitch, but I have read that is prolly because I am not breathing properly. Im running in a few hours again. Will let you know how it goes.

You have a great weekend too, Ana! Looks like its you and me only now. Wonder where Antyoch and Nightrunner went. Thank god CG is still around. :) :)

Hi everyone,

Feeling much better today. I went for a run- Wk4 and the last set I could hold for about 15 mins. I was so proud of myself. I could have gone longer, but decided I shouldn't overdo. I'm repeating Wk4 coz I wanna get a lil bit better at this. Plus some of you guys Ana, Nightrunner are also on Wk4, so I am gonna stick with that week. Lets kick it.

Food was not bad- 1400plus cal- under my calorie limits

B-muesli and yogurt
L-basmati rice, veggies, bean soup
S-small pb and jelly sandwich
D-three poori, veggies and a small indian dessert (poori, deep fried roti, was really yummy)

Been drinking gallons of water. Im so gonna go down to 129lbs this week.

Yay!! You are back. That totally cheers me up. :hurray::hurray: I know, sucks about the weight gain, but lets not let this get to us. We can beat this. Haven't done the measurements for this week, will do it sunday morning (not too hopeful). it would be a pleasant surprise if i have lost inches, but i doubt.

Oh the test is late Nov. Ugh! I haven't even thought about it yet. :willy_nilly::willy_nilly::willy_nilly::willy_nilly:

I hope you get a nice surprise in your measurments...

I'd love to go to the himilayas, It's such a good idea to go while you are in that part of the globe. I look forward to your travel tales.

I think the c25k will really help with that trekking too. I'm also still doing w4 this week ( I found it quite a hard jump from w3), but I'm determined to get to w5 by the end of the week.

We CAN do it!

happy diwali

Ana

Saturday was amazing:

B- cereal with yogurt
S- Pomegranate (yum!), banana
L-basmati rice, veggies, sprouts
S-apple, banana, a couple of pieces of fresh, raw coconut
D-chapati, veggies

Wk4D1- second time around is much much easier. Will do Wk4 this week and will be ready to move on to Wk5 next. I hope the running has built my stamina a little bit for trekking. :)

Have a busy Sunday-having some friends over for lunch. Cooking really easy stuff- rice, potatoes, paneer curry, veggies, and for dessert I have fruit salad.

Been eating fruits with yogurt all morning.

Later.

Ana, no surprises on the measurements- 1/2 inch here and there (but I think I am not doing it properly). Not gonna think about it.

And running helping with trekking- i would think so too, but I am really gonna be able to test that theory this weekend. :) will keep you posted.

W4 second time around should be much much easier. It was a breeze for me last night when I went for a run.

Good luck everyone!!

Gaah, back to work tomorrow. But I have the big weekend ahead (tis only Monday and I am already thinking about next weekend). Weight not budging still.

Had a lovely lunch with friends.

This is what I ate today:

B-fruits- apples, bananas, persimmon,
L- basmati rice, paneer curry, cauliflower, pickled potatoes with mustard, garbanzo beans, yogurt and fresh fruits
S-pistachio - 10 kernels, yogurt
S- apple, cucumber, banana
D-roti, leftover paneer and potatoes and a glass of milk.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Yoga today was amazing. Wk4D2 tomorrow!

Catch you all later.

Your on the right track and doing so good! A couple 1/2 inches here in there adds up so don't dismiss it! Also getting better at exercising must feel great! Focus on those things and you'll do fine! I know the scale is going down this week - it just has to! Don't lose sight of your goal - your so close!
Isn't it funny how we look forward to the weekend even on a Monday. I'm doing the same thing. Day is almost over for me now so only 4 more days left!
Keep it up! We can do it!

Hey Juni,

You're doing so well this week.... GO YOU!!!

Is your honey visiting, or meeting you over there? I remeber you saying that you live in different countries. It must be great catching up...

We've got a long weekend this weekend, and I've managed to be not working, so we're off to a holidaycottage in the mountains. It'll be very relaxed (although I'll have to do some uphill walking to make up for the sine drinking!)

See ya

A
