Hello Everyone,
My name is Melinda. I am 23 years old originally from Corpus Christi, Texas but I am now residing in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Oh yeah and I am an extreme cupcake freak and baker, I have my own buisness from home and dream to some day open my own bakery!
I am not new to this forum at all, in fact almost 2 years ago, I successfully went from 178 lbs to 141 lbs in about 9 months time. But..sad to say, I am back because I have gained it all back, and then some
But, thats why I am here! The last year and half has treated me so well. I've had so many ups! I married the man of my dreams, and we recently moved to another city so that my husband could persue his dream of becoming a sheriffs deputy here in Las Cruces, NM. He was born and raised here, and he is following the footsteps of his father and grandfather. As happy as I was to move somewhere fresh and new, I was also devastated because I left my entire life behind back in Texas. My parents, my friends, my job. Leaving my parents was definately the hardest thing I have ever done. And it has definately taken its tole on me.
I think I have just put on so much happy weight since our wedding, I stopped caring so much about my appearance. My husband is so sweet and loving and just the most kind hearted person that I know. He tells me all the time that he loves me and my body and that it doesnt matter how much I weigh. But I know that it is time for me to do something. Moving away from my family and friends has also made it very difficult, I think that may be another factor in why I have become so overweight. Not to mention, I am now unemployed so I am a stay at home wife at the moment, so I do not move around as much as I did when I was working.
But enough is enough. I am tired of being stuck in this rut! I'm ready to be healthy again. To be thin and fit. I want to look the way I looked when me and my husband first started dating. Which is 120 lbs!

My first goal is to reach 140 lbs. I am 5'6 so 140 actually looks very healthy and fit on me, but depending on when I get there, If i want to go lower, than I will. I am going to be limiting my calories at or lower than 1358 a day and I will be exercising every weekday with weekends off.
I am hoping to reach my ultimate goal before September 2012, that is the month that my husband will graduate the police academy and he will be a certified Law Enforcement Officer. I want to feel amazing and look smoking standing next to him at the ceremony. hahah but really, I do. lol
Start Date: Feb 06, 2012
My starting weight is: 188.2 lbs
Goal Weight: 140 lbs
Alot of weight to lose, but I am gonna do this!!
I'm going to keep this diary to log my food and to keep me accountable!
I will post my measurements and before photos tomorrow morning but for now here is my intake for the day;
Breakfast:
1 Cup apple cinnamon cheerios (160 cals)
1/2 cup 2% milk (61 cals)
Snack:
Apple with 1 tbsp PB (171 cals)
Lunch:
Healthy Choice Cafe Steamer Steak with red potatoes in bbq sauce (330 cals)
Dinner:
Baked Chicken Relleno (260 cals)
Snack:
Two Quaker caramel corn rice cakes (100 cals)
oh and lots and lots of water!!
So I actually ate less than my target, my total for the day was 1082. I will try to make it closer tomorrow.
oh yeah and I ran/walked 2.5 miles on the treadmill this afternoon, burned 315 cals, didn't burn as many cals as I wanted to, but hey its better then nothing right???

I guess thats it for now! I'll be back tomorrow and post pics/measurements and food intake!!
